Keeping his work ethic in check, J Balvin drops his latest visual for “Safari.” Premiered back in June by Beats 1, the song features the talents of BIA, Sky, and Pharrell, who’s flexing his Spanish skills. The visual companion shows the artists turning up on the dance floor at an intimate club setting. Off of J Balvin’s current offering, Energía . Watch “Safari” above.

J Balvin Premieres Music Video for "Safari" Featuring Pharrell Williams

Things get steamy when the singer falls for a mystery woman.

"Este party es un safari ."

We were excited when we heard that J Balvin would be working with  Pharrell Williams and we were even more excited once we heard their song "Safari." And now the music video for the hit song is finally here!

The track, which also features BIA and Sky , is on the singer's  Energia  album that bowed at No. 1 on the Top Latin Album's chart, according to Billboard . 

In the video, we see Blavin, Williams, and BIA make their way to a club. That's when "Bobo" singer finds himself falling for a mystery woman at the bar,and that's when things get interesting.

The Colombian hunk recently experienced a huge scare when he was on a small private plane that crashed after leaving the Bahamas. Later that day, Balvin posted a photo on Facebook of himself sitting on the plane's wing saying, "We're safe. God didn't want us to die today."

His reps confirmed that the 31-year-old singer did not sustain any injuries from the incident.

The Colombian singer José Álvaro Osorio Balvin, who records as J Balvin , knows he’s the face of modern reggaeton. His electric new Energîa is a record that renders that claim an understatement, built from the momentum of last year's worldwide megahit “Ginza,”  which has 575 million YouTube views and counting.  Energîa showcases J Balvin as a singer who has found a novel spin on reggaeton by absorbing contemporary rap culture and adopting its softened attitudes. Balvin moved to NYC as a teenager and dropped into the city's rap culture; he has clearly been taking notes ever since.

Balvin’s music strikes an uncommon balance between old sounds and new subject matter, and that’s most evident on  Energîa ’s quasi-crossover track “Safari.” While the song features Pharrell and his protegé Bia, Balvin isn’t reaching; Pharrell and Bia both sing in Spanish and find ways to gel with Balvin. It’s a thrilling joint, driven by bongos and a snaking piano line. “Este party es un safari,” sings Balvin, who knows that energy transcends language.
