Greenwich Pier is located on the south bank of the River Thames in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. It was originally built around 1836 to cater for the paddle steamers that ferried people along the Thames at the time.

Uber Boat by Thames Clippers is proud to be to continue this long heritage of ferrying visitors to the area and residents into central London.

Tickets can be bought at ticket machines at the pier before travel, but to save time and money touch in and out with your Oyster or contactless card. You can also buy your tickets online or use the Uber app or the Thames Clippers Tickets app .

Continuing your journey from Greenwich Pier

Cutty Sark on the DLR is the nearest rail station to Greenwich Pier.

For National Rail, Greenwich Station is a 10-minute walk from the pier and is served by Thameslink and Southeastern services.

Bus travel can be achieved at the nearby Greenwich Town Centre / Cutty Sark bus stop, which provides bus services on the 129, 177, 180, 188 and 386 routes.

It's likely that there will be many Uber drivers ready for service in this area too.

If you have travelled into the city by car, you should be able to use the Cutty Sark Gardens Car Park which is located near the pier.

Cutty Sark is a British clipper ship. Built on the River Leven, Dumbarton, Scotland in 1869 for the Jock Willis Shipping Line, she was one of the last tea clippers to be built and one of the fastest, coming at the end of a long period of design development, which halted as sailing ships gave way to steam propulsion.

Old Royal Naval College

The Old Royal Naval College is the architectural centrepiece of Maritime Greenwich, a World Heritage Site in Greenwich, described by the United Nations Educational, Scientific & Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) as being of "outstanding universal value" and reckoned to be the "finest and most dramatically sited architectural and landscape ensemble in the British Isles".

London's only historic market set in a World Heritage Site. Find street food, antiques, fashion, boutique shops and more, from up to 120 stalls.

National Maritime Museum

The National Maritime Museum in Greenwich allows you to discover epic stories of maritime exploration and endeavour that have shaped our world today. Free entry available for all.

Royal Observatory

The Royal Observatory, Greenwich is an observatory situated on a hill in Greenwich Park, overlooking the River Thames. It played a major role in the history of astronomy and navigation, and because the prime meridian passes through it, it gave its name to Greenwich Mean Time.

The Fan Museum

The only museum in the world devoted to the elegant fashion accessory of more gracious days. Changing exhibitions of fans are displayed in two immaculately restored early Georgian houses.

Queen's House

Queen's House is a former royal residence designed by Indigo Jones and built for Queen Anne of Denmark, James I's wife, between 1616 and 1635.

A Grade I listed building, Queen's House was the first Classical building in the UK and sits at the foot of Greenwich Park.

Historic Greenwich has been used as a set for numerous films and television programmes. Recently, Ranger's House on Greenwich Park played a starring role as the Bridgerton's residence in Netflix's Bridgerton.

Old Royal Naval College is no stranger to the screen, its chapel hosted one of the weddings of Four Weddings and a Funeral. The colonnade has featured in The Crown, Pirates of the Caribbean and even stood-in for 19th century Paris in 2013's Les Misérables.
