The natural cove here in San Antonio’s town is a go-to place for beginner campers and the pros alike.

Anawangin Cove is known for its crescent-like coast, covered by powdery ash-white sand. Back in 1991, Mount Pinatubo’s eruption dampened a considerable amount of ash to the former barren coastline of Zambales.

Best to visit with friends or colleagues, you can enjoy a peaceful stay away from the city lights and noises, even just for the day.

You can rent some cottages or camps at designated camping areas. During the day, you can hop on to boat rentals or jet skis. When the sun sets, you can have your bonfire session while enjoying some drinks and laughter.

This Zambales tourist spot is ideal for a day tour visit for safety concerns because of its remote location.

3. Potipot Island

Potipot Island is a perfect getaway with its powdery white beach. Another top Zambales tourist spot

Another must-visit island destination in Zambales is Potipot Island in the town of Candelaria . At its port, you can ride a boat for around 15 minutes.

Similar to Capones Island, Potipot Island boasts of fine white sands without those enormous rocky hills. Instead, towering trees flock to its center, providing shades to its locals and visitors.

At Potipot Island, overnight stays are allowed. To save on your expenses, you can bring your camping tents. However, if you prefer to travel with light baggage, rooms and tents are available as well. More so, you can even get pre-packed meals or cook at the designated kitchen.

Tourists can roam around the island along the shore. For added fun, you can also do that by renting a kayak at an affordable rate.

The best thing about this Zambales tourist spot is its calm waters, so you will surely love swimming during the day. You won’t miss witnessing the golden sunsets too.

At night, the sheer silence envelopes the island so that you can detox from the bustling city life. One of the perks of staying at Potipot Island is also waking up from the sounds of the inviting waves.

Just like those remote islands, electricity is also scarce. Though they have some generators, bringing your extra power banks with you lets you capture every moment in Potipot Island.

4. Nagsasa Cove

Another cove to visit and include to your Zambales tourist spot list

Visiting Nagsasa Cove in the southern part of San Antonio has a similar setting to the Anawangin Cove. Ash-like sands and Agoho trees surround the coastline too.

What sets Nagsasa from its famous Zambales tourist spot counterpart, Anawangin, is its more laidback. Here, additional breathable spaces keep you away from the crowd.

Away from mobile signals and electricity, you will surely keep yourself off the grid from the city’s hustle and bustle.

Rent some boat and do beach hopping. You can hike the nearby mountains as well. After all, reaching its viewpoint rewards you for its striking panoramic scenery.

There is also a shallow inlet to stroll to when you walk by its southern end. Just like Anawangin, it is best to bring camping materials if you can.

5. Inflatable Island Subic

Inflatable Island packs fun adventure and eye-candy facilities to choose from. One of the rising Zambales tourist spot in terms of resort facilities.

Since its launching in 2017, the Inflatable Island has gained massive popularity, making it one of the top Zambales tourist spots.

7. Talisayen Cove

The least popular cove among its siblings, Talisayen Cove.

Like Anawangin and Nagsasa, Talisayen Cove ‘s white shoreline is also the result of Mount Pinatubo’s discharge in 1991.

Camping? Perfect place. Nipa huts and private rest houses are also available here.

Here, you can capture the perfect golden sunset view of the Talisayen Cove. You get to enjoy the clear water and the lovely mountain views. A quick hike beside the cove is an excellent activity before sunset.

There are two resorts to choose from on Magalawa Island, namely Ruiz Resort and Armada Resort. It is best to coordinate with them upon booking a comfortable and convenient trip when planning trip.

Both of these resorts offer tent pitching, boat rides, accommodation, and food.

There are many things to do on Magalawa Island. You can wander the island and walk along the sandbar or swim all day until you get that sunkissed look. Snorkeling and kayaking will keep you busy as well. At night, you can camp around a bonfire while having some cold drinks.

According to locals, this unassuming Zambales tourist spot is also called Island of the Stars due to starfish abundance.

12. Mapanuepa Lake

Mapanuepa lake overlooking the mountain . One of the aftermat effect of the 1991 eruption of Mount Pinatubo

After the 1991 madness of Mount Pinatubo, Zambales and neighboring provinces has significantly changed their natural landscapes.

Some have unwanted results, and some pave the way to ecological development, just like the Mapanuepa Lake .

If you are in for another off-the-beaten path, you should visit Mapanuepa Lake.

This lake has a creepy historical background where villages were inundated during the catastrophic disaster. What was left was a remnant of the Bojaoen church, protruding a steeple and cross sign.

In Mapanuepa Lake, you can commission some fishermen to ride their boats and wander around the lake. The green foliage around the lake makes a great sitting place while gazing at the mountainous opposite side.

Camping is allowed if you plan to stay for an extended time here. Motorcycle riders and bikers often visit the lake for recreational purposes.

13. Ramon Magsaysay Museum

Historical museum to include in your Zambales tourist spot is the Ramon Magsaysay Museum

Spend a quick tour at Ramon Magsaysay Museum in downtown Castillejos .

This reconstructed ancestral domain of the late President Ramon Magsaysay features a two-story Spanish-style house . The ground floor shows the humble beginning of the late president until he became a public servant.

Going up, you can see a life-size bronze replica of the former first family, seating next to each other. On the other side, you can read a narrative about his last few days until his tragic plane crash accident in 1957.

Visiting this historical Zambales tourist spot is excellent if you are traveling with kids.

Some of his memorabilia are still intact, like his barongs, boots, even his comb. Car enthusiasts will appreciate the vintage presidential car display on the ground too.

Tourists can easily spot the Ramon Magsaysay Museum along the national road with its distinctive light green exterior color.

20 BEST ZAMBALES BEACHES AND RESORTS TO VISIT

20 BEST ZAMBALES BEACHES AND RESORTS TO VISIT

By continuing to read this article, you agree to double check with the authorities or other concerned entities for the latest updates.

There was a time when the phrase “beach near Manila” was synonymous with a place in Zambales. Subic, a coastal municipality, was the go-to destination for beach-lovers. It had almost everything a Manila urbanite seeking a quick escape could ask for: a seaside hideaway, top-notch resorts, and a chance to go shopping in peace. On top of all that, it is just an easy drive away.

Today, one could say that Subic is so last decade. Yes, many other hidden gems have been uncovered and other concealed coves have been revealed, but Zambales never left the radar of sun-worshipping weekend warriors.

Here are some beach destinations in Zambales that prove that when it comes to beaches, Zambales just keeps on giving. We divided it into two categories: Beach Resorts and Budget-Friendly Beaches .

WHAT'S COVERED IN THIS GUIDE?

Best Budget-Friendly Beaches in Zambales

day tour zambales

If you’re traveling on a budget, here are some Zambales beach destinations to consider. Many of these can be enjoyed even if you’re on a day trip. Some allow camping. Some don’t allow overnight stays at all. We also linked to separate pages where you can get more info.

Potipot Island

Before the beaches of San Antonio were “rediscovered,” there was Potipot Island in Candelaria, a secret that was known only to a few travelers.

day tour zambales

Potipot Island is privately owned, but it’s one of those islands you should visit to seek some peace of mind or just a quiet, more intimate moment with nature.

How to get here : Hop into a Victory Lines bus to Sta. Cruz (P450) and get off in Uacon, Candelaria. Then, travel by tricycle to the port going to Potipot (P15) and hire a boat to the island (P400, up to 4 pax).

If you need a more comfortable place to spend the night, you can check in at a nearby resort: POTIPOT GATEWAY RESORT.

✅ CHECK RATES & AVAILABILITY!

Crystal Beach Resort

I’ll let my teammate Karlo Jose Pineda describe the place: “If you’ve ever read a list of the best surf spots in the Philippines, chances are, Zambales will be featured. And as soon as we stepped out to prepare for our surfing lessons, I understood why. The sea made huge, rolling waves with perfectly curled tips, like those I liked to draw in blue crayon when I was a kid. It was breathtaking.”

day tour zambales

Crystal Beach Resort, in San Narciso, offers surfing lessons with Quiksilver Surf School for P400 per hour, inclusive of the surfboard, rash guard, and Quiksilver instructor’s fee.

For non-surfers, Crystal Beach has something for you too. It’s one of those resorts where “you have the beach practically to yourself; it’s cleaner, and you don’t have to talk to anyone if you don’t want to. You can just sit under an open hut and listen to the rain’s patter on the roof while you read a good book, or listen to your favorite Spotify relaxation playlist.”

How to get there : Crystal Beach Resort

Anawangin Cove

Over the past few years, Anawangin Cove has captivated more visitors, who had also sparked a growing interest in nearby beaches. Almost in an instant, the village of Pundaquit has transformed from a sleepy fishing village into a tourist town.

day tour zambales

But tourism isn’t the only thing that changed it. When Mt. Pinatubo erupted in 1991, it dumped tons of ash to the shore of San Antonio. What used to be a rocky coast became a supple, shining piece of paradise that seems to have come out of a crazy beach-lover’s fantasy. Over time, agoho trees (sea pine trees) began growing in its ashen slopes, creating a surreal Boracay-meets-Baguio landscape.

How to get there : Ride a bus to Iba or Sta. Cruz, Zambales and get off at the San Antonio Public Market near the Municipal Hall (P270-300). Alternatively, you can travel by bus to Olongapo and another bus to San Antonio, and get off at the same market. Look for a tricycle to take you to Pundaquit (P60 per 2 pax) and then rent a boat to Anawangin Cove (P1000, good for 4 pax).

Fore more info, read: Anawangin Travel Guide

Nagsasa Cove

day tour zambales

Like Anawangin, Nagsasa Cove is strewn not with your regular sand but volcanic ash spewed by Mt. Pinatubo and carpeted by a forest of sea pine trees. It has all the good things Anawangin is famous for — including a natural viewpoint on a hill and a postcard-worthy inlet — but retaining the more laidback atmosphere that has started to slip away from the other. But unlike its more popular stepsister, Nagsasa doesn’t get too overcrowded, although it’s starting to attract more and more tourists each year.

Fore more info, read: Nagsasa Cove Travel Guide

Talisayen Cove

day tour zambales

Of all the ashen coves patching the coastline of Zambales, Talisayen (or Talisayin) is the quietest. It’s like that one guy back in high school who sat at the very back of the class, not saying a word unless asked. Often overlooked because he wasn’t as popular as his seatmates.

But Talisayen, Nagsasa and Anawangin are cut from the same cloth, made of the same volcanic stuff. But what sets Talisayen apart is that it appeals to a completely different set of travelers, those who make their own trail. Even after all these years, Talisayen has managed to avoid the crowd.

How to get here : From Pundaquit, boats (good for 4 pax) can be rented for P2000-P2500. Alternatively, you can also get here by boat from Subic, but entails a longer travel time.

Silanguin Cove

day tour zambales

Silanguin is the least crowded of all the newly rediscovered beaches of San Antonio; thanks to its remoteness. Be warned: the sand here isn’t white, not even off-white. It is light gray, at best. But don’t judge a beach by its color. Unlike the other coves, the water here is much shallower and less violent, making it more ideal for swimming (soul searching, if you’re into that thing). The reddish soil of the surrounding mountains combined with the bright greenery also makes for the best view in San Antonio.

If you have more time: Go fishing! The waters of Zambales are so rich that fishing tours are starting to make waves. Ask your boatman about it before the trip.

How to get here : From Pundaquit, boats (good for 4 pax) can be rented for P2000-P2500. Travel time: 5-6 hours. Alternatively, you can also get here by boat from Subic, but entails a longer travel time.

Camara Island

day tour zambales

Camara Island harbors a short stretch of sand that is easily accessible from Pundaquit. In fact, it is the closest to the mainland and is visible from the village.

Capones Island

day tour zambales

Capones Island is covered in rocks on one end and strewn with fine sand on the other. You can easily recognize it by its sharp cliff that overlooks a glittering beach and is crowned by the historic Capones Lighthouse. Together with Camara Island, it is a popular island-hopping sidetrip destination. Visitors may enter the building and climb to the top of the tower. The lighthouse guides vessels to and from Subic Bay and Corregidor.

How to get there : From Pundaquit, you can ride a boat to Capones Island. Entrance fee: P350.

Liwliwa Beach

Liwliwa is a fishing village in San Felipe, Zambales. “But when the waves come, which, according to the grapevine, are impressively consistent, this sitio becomes a haven for surfers and surfer-wannabes alike,” shares Karlo.

“Unlike other staple surfing spots, Liwliwa isn’t usually crowded. Perhaps because finding it is a bit tricky since the road leading to ‘Liwa is hidden from the main highway. The place may have taken the off-the-beaten-path adage quite literally, but getting there is worth the journey. Not only because of the uncluttered setting it offers for a good surf, but also its natural features, which are interestingly picturesque (the beach sand is said to be mixed with lahar that ensued from the 1991 eruption of Mt. Pinatubo).

TOP ZAMBALES RESORTS

If you have the means and you’re after amenities, you may opt to stay at a resort. Zambales has a lot of good accommodation options especially in the Subic area. Many of these resorts have swimming pools and are easily accessible, especially if you’re on a road trip.

The highest concentration of resorts are in Subic. It may not be as fair as Boracay or any other beach you frequent, but it is a decent beach getaway with grayish sand hugged by gentle waves.

The best part: after a day of beach bumming, you can put on your bagain-hunter hat and go duty-free shopping! Aside from the beaches, you might want to take a look at the stores on your way back to Manila. Beach + retail therapy. No other formula is more effective in relieving stress.

Below are the 10 top-rated resorts in Zambales as reviewed by Agoda users. Note that NOT ALL of these are beachfront. Always check the location on the map first before you make a booking.

You’ll notice that many of these resorts are quite pricey. So if you need a little help with saving up for your trip, consider downloading the LISTA app!

7 Tourist Spots for Your ZAMBALES ITINERARY

day tour zambales

Last updated: 26 April 2024

Zambales is a popular getaway destination because of its proximity and accessibility from Metro Manila and nearby cities. It provides visitors with beautiful beaches, stunning views of coves, outdoor experiences, and affordable destinations. There are many buses that travel from stations in Manila to different parts of the province – the fare will vary depending on the terminal where you will depart and the terminal where you choose to be dropped off.

If you’re planning to visit the province, here are some of the things to do and places of interest to include in your itinerary.

WHAT'S IN THIS GUIDE?

See the Stunning Crater Lake of Mt. Pinatubo

View this post on Instagram A post shared by G🦄 (@biehappygie) on Feb 13, 2019 at 1:29am PST

The devastation caused by Pinatubo’s eruption more than a decade ago has left permanent scars on the provinces near it. Fast forward to today, the slumbering volcano is now a popular tourist destination. Pictures of its stunning crater lake have attracted thousands of tourists. Your trip begins with a 4×4 ride through rugged and bumpy dirt roads, streams and lahar-carved surroundings.

After the ride, you’ll have to trek for a couple of hours through mostly flat surfaces before you reach the lake. The spectacular views and the azure-tinged waters will immediately revitalize your tired body and aching muscles. You can have a picnic here with the crater as your backdrop before returning to the jump-off point. There are several day tours from Manila, but you can manage to DIY. However, if you choose go on your own, start early.

Enjoy Island-hopping

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Philippine Beaches & Beyond (@philippinebeachlist)

One of the reasons Zambales is popular is because of island-hopping. You can visit a handful of beautiful islands with stunning bird’s eye views of the coves. The usual destinations include Capones Island , Nagsasa Cove , and Anawangin Cove . These spots may not have the powdery, white shores of beaches you’ll find in Palawan, but they are beautiful in their own way.

Anawangin and Nagsasa both have viewpoints where you can go up to see the iconic views of their respective coves. Do the usual beach activities in any of the three islands such as swimming, sunbathing and camping. Boat rates vary depending on destinations you want to be included in the itinerary.

For a recent island-hopping daytrip, we were charged P3500 for two people. You can also pitch tents for a fee in both Anawangin and Nagsasa.

Experience the Great Outdoors

View this post on Instagram A post shared by DinoRod (@dnotrex) on Nov 2, 2017 at 7:59pm PDT

If you’re outdoorsy in search of adventure, take your bike with you to Subic. The city can serve as your jump-off point to the province’s ascending and descending hills, flat plains, and serpentine roads. Follow Mt. Samat’s and Pastolan’s trails to break out a sweat and enjoy the views along the way.

Chill on Potipot Island

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Eibner Saliba (@eib.saliba)

For those who don’t want to do much during their visit, Potipot Island is the place to be. It only takes 15 minutes by boat from Candelaria, Zambales to reach this small but beautiful islet. You can easily explore Potipot because of its size. Wade in the waters, work on your tan, throw a Frisbee for a couple of rounds or so, take photos and just enjoy your stay. To get here, board a bus bound for Sta. Cruz, Zambales from Metro Manila. Tell the conductor you’ll alight at the barangay hall of Uacon. Then hire a tricycle to take you to the beach where the boats that can take you to the island are docked.

day tour zambales

If you want to rough it out and spend a night under a blanket of stars, go camping on one of the islands of Zambales. Anawangin Cove is a popular camping spot. It has a hill you can climb to get overlooking views of the island. There are also dedicated areas where you can pitch a tent. There’s an overnight fee of P100 and tent rental for P500.

Visit Ramon Magsaysay’s Ancestral Home

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Vincent Cruz (@beanzcruz) on Sep 20, 2018 at 6:02am PDT

The former president used to call Iba, Zambales his home. His house is still there and displays how Magsaysay used to live through memorabilia such as pictures, medals, barongs he used to wear, and pieces of furniture.

Ride the Waves

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Gally Ann (@ooohgaga) on Jul 5, 2015 at 4:27pm PDT

Zambales is also a possible surfing destination for those who want to try a new activity or hone their skills on a surfboard. The easiest place to do this is at Crystal Beach Resort’s shore. The waves are manageable for beginners and enough for surfers with experience.

You can find the Quicksilver Surf Camp near the resort’s shore. Surfing lessons go for P600 while board rentals go for P200.

Where to Stay in Zambales

Youhan Beach Resort

Zambales is a developed tourist destination with plenty of accommodation options. San Antonio , San Narciso , and San Felipe are possible places to stay because of the choices you have, and their proximity to the beach and transportation. You can go camping on one of the coves, either in Anawangin or Nagsasa.

Iba is another place to consider because of its nearness to the beach as well as its slew of resorts and guesthouses to choose from. Subic also provides many hotels for budget travelers and those who are willing to spend. The area also has plenty of shopping and dining options.

15 Best ZAMBALES TOURIST SPOTS (Beaches & Nature)

 alt=

Ah, are you feeling the summer vibes too? Well, I can’t blame you! After being stuck at home due to the series of lockdowns and community quarantines, we now have a chance to get out and explore the beautiful tropical paradise of the Philippines. (While still following health and safety protocols, of course) So now that the summer season is upon us, where should we go?

Hmm, should we go to Boracay ? Puerto Galera? Or Palawan? Well, how about let’s try and explore the breathtaking province of Zambales? That’s right! Zambales is one of the most beautiful beach destinations in the country and known for being blessed with deep blue pristine waters, stunning islands, and sandy beaches. It’s also the go-to beach destination for people living in Metro Manila because it only takes about 4 to 5 hours of travel time to reach it! There are also countless exciting activities to look forward to here in Zambales such as hiking, cliff diving, extreme water sports activities, and the currently trending glamping sites as well.

Zambales also has an exciting food culture because of its abundant supply of seafood which allows tourists to enjoy unique gastronomic adventures during their visit! See? It’s also located near Pundaquit and is known for its bone-shaped coastline, white sands, rocky shores, and turquoise waters. It also goes by the name “Isla de Gran Capon” which was established by the Spaniards during their time. Aside from swimming and beach bumming, you can also get the chance to witness the rich marine and aquatic life beneath the island by snorkeling and scuba diving!

But what really makes Capones Island extra special is its remote and secluded ambiance because there are virtually no structures around the island aside from an old iconic Spanish lighthouse, Faro de Punta Capones. This antique brick lighthouse was built in the year 1890 and undoubtedly paints a dramatic picture of the stunning Capones Island around it. I suggest that you take lots of memorable pictures here while you have the chance!

Potipot Island

Potipot Island is one of the most recommended beaches for a Zambales beach day tour. Potipot Island is one of the quickest reachable islands in Zambales, located near Uacon, Candelaria. It is preferred to explore on a weekday as it may tend to get a bit congested on weekend days due to its fame.

Despite being a popular tourist destination, the island’s unspoiled condition has been maintained. It’s a little island, but it has everything you need for a nice beach trip. Sports and boating are some permitted activities.

In Potipot, people can also borrow kayaks. It’s a great place to swim, but not suitable for snorkeling because there aren’t many corals to view on this beach.

If you want to relax on the beach peacefully, definitely visit Talisayen Cove. It is one of several beaches in Zambales formed by the Mt. Pinatubo eruption. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate its crystal-clear streams, rock structures, and green hills. You may trek or hike up the mountain.

Only a few miles far from the city, you’ll find yourself in a tranquil setting where you may admire thousands of night sky stars. If you want to relax, bring a swing and hang it between the woods.

Talisayen Beach is yet another beach with gray sands. This has managed to avoid gathering big crowds. It is an ideal place for people who just wish to spend some peaceful time admiring nature’s magnificence.

Liwliwa Beach

Liwliwa Beach is indeed a wide stretch of ash-gray sand near San Felipe, Zambales. Its strong waves are also ideal for surfers. It’s a relatively peaceful setting for a prominent Zambales beach. There are resorts and lodgings nearby that are amazingly cheap.

Liwliwa is a diver’s preference. Unlike some of the other beaches, Liwliwa combines peacefulness with a vibrant feel. Due to its high waves, it also serves as a surfer’s paradise, but with fewer tourists.

Throughout surf season, you may surf at the beach, whereas in the summertime, you can just go for a long stroll and swim. There are some calm locations in nearby for soul-searchers, although this is a densely populated urban beach.

Liwliwa is a fishing area in the city of San Felipe, Zambales. It is rarely congested. Perhaps getting there is difficult because the route leading to Liwa is concealed from the main roadway. In addition to the simple environment, it provides superb surfing, as well as its natural elements, which are delightfully attractive.

Nagsasa Cove

Nagsasa Cove isn’t actually an island, but rather a portion of the mainland. Nagsasa Beach, similar to Anawangin, is filled with volcanic ash ejected by Mt. Pinatubo also surrounded by a woodland of sea trees.

It includes all of the attractions that Anawangin is famed for, such as a beautiful viewpoint just above a mountain. Nagsasa does not get congested, despite attracting an increasing number of tourists every year.

It’s ideal for outdoor activities and trekking throughout the day. You may surf and enjoy peace and tranquility. Nagsasa Cove has no power or internet service.

This beach is ideal for those who enjoy being surrounded by nature. Because there is no power on this remote beach, you will not be interrupted from experiencing the magnificence of the Nagsasa Beach area.

Enjoy its white sands & beautiful seas, and the presence of your loved ones throughout your vacation. If you wish to stay the night near the lovely white sand beach near Zambales, there is a campground nearby.

Snorkeling and hiking are two more activities available here. You may also explore the lakes or just go island traveling from this one.

Capones Island Beach View

The bone-shaped beach is popular among visitors due to its magnificent white sand and clear water. It changes tints of blue as it turns deeper. But what’s amazing about this Zambales beach is that each area is Attractive.

Especially the various forms of rocks that look like they’re from the previous century. There is also the renowned historic Spanish Lighthouse , which was established in 1980.

One enjoyable activity on Capones Island is camping. Several beaches are merely a boat trip away if you desire to go beach visiting.

Capones Island, also known as ‘Isla de Gran Capon’ during the Spanish colonization period. It is a 2-kilometer-long island in Zambales. Family holidays, hiking, and surfing are permitted on the sites. You may also go snorkeling or diving since the seas are filled with marine species.

Capones Island is rock-covered across one edge and fine-sand-strewn on the other. It is obviously described by its sheer rock that overlooks a gleaming beach. It’s close to Camara Island and has a great vista from Pundaquit Shore.

It’s excellent for a quick lunch or a few hours of relaxing, sleeping, or maybe traveling here to the lighthouse. It’s a pleasant area to spend a couple of hours, particularly when the ocean is peaceful.

Anawangin Cove Beach

Almost all visitors regard Anawangin Cove as Zambales prettiest beach. And it’s easy to understand why. Its half-moon form, excellent sand beach, & private island ambiance attract people. However, this is not the natural appearance of Anawangin Cove.

There are currently no hotels in this area. Inside the cove, you may just use a tent to sleep in or acquire a cabin. There’s also no power and a poor network, giving you the ultimate camping experience.

Unlike other white sandy beaches, the sand of Anawangin is made of volcanic ash spewed by the massive Mt. Pinatubo. This resulted in Anawangin’s distinct topography.

It offers more swimming areas than some other beaches in Zambales. The sea is quite peaceful. The beach is famous for picnicking, especially among natives. In Anawangin Cove, you may set up your tent or hire one.

It is an ideal spot to detach from the outside world. Anawangin Cove is approximately 30-40 mins from Pundaquit seaside.

Bacala Sandbar Beach View

The Bacala Sandbar has always been placed near Masinloc, Zambales. Besides its pure white sand in the heart of the ocean, it is also well-known for its Bacala Rest House that’s been created on it. It is sponsored by the Mayor and is a popular destination for tourists visiting the sandbar.

The sandbar is only visible at sea level, although you can still glimpse the white sand beneath the clear water during high tide.

San Salvador Island is the location of the Bacala Sandbar. The historic stilt house is the biggest highlight of this Zambales beach. It is formed in the water.

In addition to the white sand beach, this island of Zambales also has a 2-hectare large shell ranch in a sea habitat. The historic stilt house is the gating factor of this Zambales beach. It stands in pure water in which the sand may be seen properly.

Pundaquit Beach

Pundaquit beach is indeed the initial point for beach traveling in Zambales. It’s filled with fishing and sightseeing yachts. As surfing seems to be something you enjoy, the beach’s tides are ideal for it.

There are several locations to have meals and beverages before going island hopping on Zambales beaches. Since Pundaquit serves as a gateway to other beaches such as Anawangin Cove & Capones Island.

It is highly popular with individuals seeking a break from the bustle because of its closeness to Manila. The volcanic ash on that beach exactly differentiates it from other beaches.

Throughout the summer, the ocean is normally quiet, but the waves develop greater in size during the stormy season, causing a large number of surfers to visit throughout this time.

Silanguin Cove

Because of its solitude, Silanguin is the less congested of San Antonio’s beaches. This beach’s sand is just not white, again not off-white, so take note. In fact, it is just a mild gray. However, don’t define a beach based on its shade. Compared to other beaches, the sea here is lower and much less chaotic.

It is excellent for swimming. The adjacent mountains’ red sand, along with the vivid vegetation, creates the nicest sight in San Antonio. Zambales’ waterways are so widely available that fishing activities are becoming popular.

The cove is bordered by accessible cottages that may be rented for a day or overnight stay. Once you get there, there is no network. The entire island is covered with forests, with an ash-covered seashore. It’s a peaceful setting where you may unwind and admire the stars.

This finest Zambales beach is at Olongapo. Halfmoon Beach always has you rushing to the ocean to have a vacation. Jet skiing, beach picnicking, and water sports are among the most popular activities.

It is one of the recommended beaches in Zambales. People visit this beach with their families. It is the best beach in Zambales for families. So, if you want to travel to this beach with your family, then definitely book a room at Olongapo beach resorts to stay.

Subic Halfmoon Beach

Hermana Menor is also known as Makitira Island. It is a privately operated island. It’s a well-kept white sand beach near Zambales which is less well-known to the wider population than Anawangin or Nagsasa.

So you may experience the clean beach whenever you arrive. Since night stays are restricted, you may only experience a day trip. You can unwind here alone or with your loved ones

Baloy Beach

Baloy Beach is just a few kilometers from the former US Naval Base in Subic Bay. You’ll definitely experience a lot of middle-aged people roaming the beach because it’s a popular destination for retirees in Australia, the United States, and the UK.

You’ll certainly see them on the beach with their spouses as well as other seniors. This region is regarded as one of the most Westernized around Zambales. In addition to swimming, you may attempt parasailing.

Before visiting, similar to any other destination, you should check the weather & circumstances. The climate in Zambales differs depending on the place you explore because the province occupies a big stretch in Central Luzon.

In fact, this maintains similar seasonal variations as the other parts of the Philippines, with rainy and dry days —. Analyze weather predictions to avert possible dangerous disasters or severe rains that may occur during your vacation periods.

Its dry season, which lasts from November to May, is ideal for beach traveling in the Philippine islands and engaging in numerous aquatic sports. According to the holidays, December may be quite chaotic. The weather is a little colder in January and February, which implies the sun wouldn’t be as scorching.

April to May are major tourist seasons, which means significant congestion. If you don’t like crowds at the beach, try renting a private destination or vacationing during a different season.

The rainy season lasts from May until October. While it does not rain daily, analyzing estimates for a more complete overview of weather patterns during that period is still recommended.

Yet, if you are interested in going surfing, you can go throughout these seasons. The waves are considerably nicer at Zambales, which really is a great thing for all levels of surfers.

Visitors are also fewer, and resorts occasionally reduce their prices throughout their off-season.

If you can find the time, double-check the forecast prior to your planned vacation in the off-season to get reduced hotel rates.
