Mac Sabbath Announces 10th Anniversary Tour With Tejon Street Corner Thieves & Spaceman Rob

The world’s premiere fast food-themed Black Sabbath tribute band  Mac Sabbath is back with news of a tenth-anniversary tour. The 14-date U.S. trek will feature support from outlaw thrashgrass trio  Tejon Street Corner Thieves and  Spaceman Bob , the new solo project from the frontman for viral TikTok oddball band  Playboy Manbaby .

For ten years, Mac Sabbath’s  Ronald Osbourne ,  Slayer MacCheeze ,  Grimalice , and  Catburglar have been the undisputed kings of “Drive Thru Metal.” The band’s outlandish live performances which combine iconic McDonald’s mascots with heavy metal aesthetics and reworked versions of seminal Black Sabbath songs have earned them a cult following of the alternative comedy generation. In the Venn diagram combining childhood nostalgia, bad acid trip, and performance art, Mac Sabbath has found a niche that has sustained them and their ravenous fans for a decade.

“10 years? I guess you better come out and see this one! Sounds like the beginning of THE END!”  The said in a statement.

At shows across the country, Mac Sabbath’s fans will devour the group’s parodies like golden french fries. The band’s artery-clogging interpretations of Sabbath classics include “ Frying Pan ” (“Iron Man”), “ Sweet Beef ” (“Sweet Leaf”), “ Chicken for the Slaves ” (“Children of the Grave”), “ Supersize ” (“Supernaut”), and more. The tour kicks off on August 14th in Cheyenne, WY and includes stops in Denver, Oklahoma City, Tennessee, Cincinnati, Chicago, and more before wrapping in Omaha, NE on August 31st. Zakk Wylde’s Black Sabbath Tribute Band Zakk Sabbath Announce 2023-2024 North American Tour

Zakk Wylde's Sabbath tribute band will hit the road throughout December and January.

Zakk Sabbath , the  Black Sabbath tribute project led by guitarist-singer Zakk Wylde , have announced a 2023-2024 North American tour.

Billed as the “Tour Forever / Forever Tour,” the outing launches December 5th in Sacramento, California, and runs into the new year, wrapping up on January 20th in Los Angeles. The Native Howl will provide support.

Fans can look for deals or get tickets to sold-out dates via StubHub , where your purchase is 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program.

The upcoming dates will be the first Zakk Sabbath shows since 2020. The group — which features Wylde alongside bassist Robert “Blasko” Nicholson (Ozzy Osbourne, Rob Zombie) and drummer Joey Castillo (Danzig, Queens of the Stone Age) — formed in 2014 and has played sporadically in the years since. They cover mainly early Black Sabbath songs — many of which Wylde has also performed as the guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne.

“Going back to high-school keg parties, we’d be playing songs by RUSH, Sabbath, Hendrix, whatever, and one person would sing the RUSH stuff, someone could do The Doors, and I’d end up doing the Sabbath or Ozzy stuff,” remarked Wylde in a 2020 interview with Rolling Stone . “It’s hilarious to me, because we were 17 years old playing keg parties at a friend’s house … and I’m still playing ‘N.I.B.’ and Sabbath songs at keg parties, except there’s a couple more people.”

Mac Sabbath , the McDonald’s-themed Black Sabbath tribute band, have announced a 10th anniversary US tour set to take place this summer. Tejon Street Corner Thieves and Spaceman Bob will provide support.

The outing kicks off August 14th in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and runs through a August 31st show in Omaha, Nebraska, visiting such cities as Denver, Cincinnati, and Chicago along the way.

Tickets go on sale beginning Wednesday (June 12th) via Ticketmaster and local venue links listed on the band’s website , with a Live Nation pre-sale for select shows starting Tuesday (June 11th) using the code CHORD . Fans can also look for deals or get tickets to sold-out dates via StubHub , where your purchase is 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program.

Mac Sabbath perform amusing parodies of Black Sabbath tunes with the lyrics changed to reflect fast-food themes. Their songs include “Sweet Beef” (instead of “Sweet Leaf”), “Frying Pan” (“Iron Man”), and “Pair-a-Buns” (“Paranoid”), along with similar twists on songs by KISS, Motörhead, and more.

The band is led by frontman Ronald Osborne, and also features members Slayer MacCheeze, Grimalice, and the Cat Burglar.

Mac Sabbath stated of the tour, “10 years? I guess you better come out and see this one! Sounds like the beginning of THE END!”

The August shows follow a previously announced run of three California gigs in late June. See the band’s full slate of tour dates below.

Black Sabbitch, an all-female Black Sabbath tribute band, hits Penn’s Peak in Jim Thorpe on Jan. 14, 2022

It was announced today that Black Sabbitch , an all-female Black Sabbath tribute band from Los Angeles, will play classic Ozzy-era Sabbath songs “with incredible authenticity” at Penn’s Peak in Jim Thorpe on Friday, Jan. 14, 2022.

The concert will be part of a 50th anniversary celebration tour of two classic albums, “Master of Reality” and “Vol. 4.” Doors at Penn’s Peak (325 Maury Rd., Jim Thorpe) open at 7 p.m., and the music starts at 8 p.m.

Tickets, which are $20 in advance or $25 the day of the show, go on sale this Friday, Oct. 29 at 10 a.m. ​via Ticketmaster , the Penn’s Peak box office, and at Roadies Restaurant and Bar (325 Maury Rd., Jim Thorpe). Box office and Roadies Restaurant ticket sales are walk-up only; no phone orders.

Since 2011, Black Sabbitch has been selling out shows and wowing even the most difficult to please Sabbath worshipers , gaining a rabid fan base and the respect of critics, fans, and musicians alike. They have become festival favorites, consistently performing with some of the world’s biggest acts on a path seldom traveled by your typical “tribute” band.

They were handpicked by Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne to open the inaugural Ozzfiesta and by Dave Grohl to play Cal Jam with Foo Fighters and Iggy Pop, after which the Foo Fighters shared photos of Black Sabbitch, saying, “We were spellbound.”

This year, they played Psycho Las Vegas with The Flaming Lips, Danzig, Ty Segall, and Mercyful Fate. Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs chose Black Sabbitch to headline his curated festival Bedrocktoberfest, and legendary street artist Shepard Fairey had them open his Black Sabbath retrospective “Never Say Die” in 2018. Electroclash superstar Peaches even sat in as lead vocalist with Black Sabbitch for a special two-night run in Los Angeles.

LA Weekly wrote, “Finally, Black Sabbitch took the stage and pretty much melted everyone’s faces. The all-female Black Sabbath … were not only talented – nailing every note of the legendary group’s familiar repertoire – but were captivating to an almost distracting level. Looking up at them from the crowd (which had erupted into a mosh pit), I couldn’t help but wonder what these women’s stories were. They emanated the effortless cool of rock and roll, but with about 10 extra ounces of sexy confidence.”

Black Sabbitch is Alice Austin (vocals), Emily Burton (guitar), Melanie Makaiwi (bass), and Angie Scarpa (drums).

Formed in Birmingham, England in 1968 by guitarist and main songwriter Tony Iommi, drummer Bill Ward, bassist and main lyricist Geezer Butler, and singer Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath is often cited as the pioneers of heavy metal music. The band helped define the genre with releases such as “Black Sabbath” (1970), “Paranoid” (1970), and “Master of Reality” (1971).

Selling over 70 million records worldwide, Black Sabbath was inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2005 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006. They won two Grammy Awards for Best Metal Performance and, in 2019, the band was presented a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

Black Sabbath embarked on their final tour , The End, from January of 2016 through February of 2017 in venues all over the world, ending at the Genting Arena in Birmingham, where it all started.

OZZY OSBOURNE / BLACK SABBATH TRIBUTE

Since 2006, OZZMANIA continues to stun enthusiastic audiences with their spot-on tribute to the Prince of Darkness himself, Ozzy Osbourne. Founding member Michael Reade (As Ozzy) Guitarist, Johnny Blade as (Zakk), perform an amazing recreation of the Ozzy and Zakk Wylde band era, giving us that uncanny Ozzy voice, and the Zakk Wylde virtuoso guitar playing, which fans have come to know and love.

Along for the ride through the rock archives are three well accomplished musicians, Joey Alva (bassist) as Rudy Sarzo and Founding Member; the always hard hitting drummer, Michael Clemens, as Randy Castillo; and  Darlynn Voesten, who lends her keyboard talent to this amazing r ock and roll spectacle.

Bastard  Of Reality is a Seattle based Black Sabbath Tribute Band. They pay homage to the legendary Rock Gods Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward with intensity, passion, and authenticity. Bastard  Of Reality draws their set lists from the first 6 records spanning the  years 1970 to 1975. The shows are loud, tight, and entertaining.

BOR are currently on an indefinite hiatus. After 5 years and over 50 shows, the band feels that they have achieved their goals and cemented their reputation as one of the best Black Sabbath tribute bands of all time. If you feel like you have enough money to coax them back on stage (and to get the singer to shave his trusty beard), then you are welcome to contact them.

Welcome to the Tour Date Archive!

Our mission here is to document every known gig date that Black Sabbath performed from their earliest incarnations as Polka Tulk and Earth to their most recent and sadly final THE END tour in 2017.  This has proved to be a challenging project requiring at least a decade of research that is still very much ongoing.  It is by no means 100% complete or accurate, nor will it probably ever be.  Still, it is our aim to provide the most accurate and useful database for Black Sabbath’s history anywhere on the Internet.

If you do happen to notice any missing or incorrect information on these pages, please feel free to send us an e-mail.  Since we need to confirm any new information for inclusion, please provide any supporting evidence you might have, such as scans of ticket stubs, handbills, posters or any other items that supports your claim.  You are also welcome to share your memories or even reviews of these concerts, since some facts may be impossible to provide in a tangible form.

That said, I do try my give each and every contribution my undivided attention when research time avails itself to me.  I have greatly appreciated the input of everyone who has contributed to this research and will make those acknowledgements elsewhere in his section very soon.

Please be aware that your submissions and corrections will not immediately appear on these pages.  Due to the nature of our new database system, we must process these updates in batches.  I wish there were an easier way for us to do this, but unfortunately it’s the nature of the beast we’re working with (Gigpress).  Each update requires a coordinated effort between myself and Joe which is fairly time consuming for each of us.  Additionally, I’m still in the midst of converting my data over to this new system.  Once this conversion has been completed, future updates should be a bit more frequent and less painless for us to do.

Now for the good news!  We will be doing a fairly comprehensive update of the entire tour dates section in 2018!!  It’s been many years since we’ve made any revisions in this section.  Over the past year, I’ve added countless gigs, updates and corrections to the information we originally had.  We will also be adding additional show data (ticket prices, venue information, sold out show info) that wasn’t included with prior versions of these tour listings.

P.S. – DO NOT INQUIRE ABOUT ANY NEW TOUR DATES!  As of 2017, Black Sabbath has already announced they will no longer be playing any more concert tours.  If there any exceptions along the way, they probably be mentioned on the News page first, as this section will not be updated on a frequent or regular basis.  Any inquiries about new shows will simply be ignored, so please don’t waste your time or our time in asking that question.

Mac Sabbath announce 10 year anniversary tour, vaguely suggest end of band

Mac Sabbath the Black Sabbath / Mcdonalds hamburgers mashup band has announced a 10 year anniversary tour. In a press release, in addition to announcing the dates, the band stated: "10 years? I guess you better come out and see this one! Sounds like the beginning of THE END!" The did not definitively say this tour is their final tour, however. You can see the dates below.

BLACK SABBATH Ballet Announces International Dates For 2024 And 2025

After its successful world premiere and U.K. tour in 2023, "Black Sabbath – The Ballet" will return for an international tour in 2024 and 2025.

The ballet soundtracked by the music of BLACK SABBATH had its official premiere in September 2023 at the Hippodrome theatre in the heavy metal legends' original hometown of Birmingham, United Kingdom.

Commissioned by Birmingham Royal Ballet 's director Carlos Acosta and Ballet Now , the ballet includes specially reorchestrated BLACK SABBATH songs plus new music inspired by the legendary British heavy metal outfit — all performed live by the Royal Ballet Sinfonia .

In the second of three Birmingham-focused commissions, Acosta was drawn to both the band's work and its musical legacy as the originators of heavy metal. This full-evening ballet promises to be a unique undertaking with three composers and three choreographers, led by renowned choreographer Pontus Lidberg (whose work has been performed by the Swedish Royal Ballet and the Paris Opera Ballet ) and composer Chris Austin (whose work includes orchestrating THE WHITE STRIPES music for Wayne McGregor 's "Chroma" ) working alongside award-winning writer Richard Thomas ( "Jerry Springer: The Opera" ) to create an extraordinary metal symphony over three acts. The members of BLACK SABBATH themselves have been closely involved in developing this unique collaboration.

In an October 2023 video from Birmingham Royal Ballet , Sharon Osbourne the wife and manager of BLACK SABBATH singer Ozzy Osbourne , said: "When I first heard that Birmingham Royal Ballet was putting on a ballet to BLACK SABBATH music, I just thought, this is so left field. It's so not expected. Who would have ever thought the combination? And I just thought, brilliant. This is just so out there that it's wonderful."

SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi , who had been present at some rehearsals for the U.K. "Black Sabbath – The Ballet" dates, came up on stage at the end of the opening performance to play guitar on the band's classic song "Paranoid" . Iommi also took a bow at the end of the night along with the cast and crew. Also in attendance at the event were Iommi 's bandmate, SABBATH bassist Geezer Butler and Sharon Osbourne , along with LED ZEPPELIN singer Robert Plant and ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA 's Bev Bevan , who served as the touring drummer for BLACK SABBATH from 1983 to 1984 and played percussion on "The Eternal Idol" album in 1987.

In April 2023, Iommi was asked by Birmingham World if he could ever have imagined that half a century after he formed SABBATH that Birmingham's ballet company would be dancing to their music. Tony laughed and said: "I wouldn't have believed them, really, to be honest. At the time when I got involved with BLACK SABBATH , I thought it was great, because it was something so different, and hasn't been done before. And I found it, I think, a good challenge.

"I'm looking at our music differently now with this [the ballet], because it is being interpreted in a different way. It's still got the basic things, but then it did have in the different orchestral things coming in. And then I never thought for a minute we would have people dancing to BLACK SABBATH and 'War Pigs' and 'Iron Man' . But here we are, you know."

Regarding Birmingham Royal Ballet 's interpretation of SABBATH 's music, Tony said: " Birmingham Royal Ballet are very conscious of the work being what it is — the SABBATH music. We don't want to change it so you can’t recognize it. So they've held that part of it, but added another dimension to it. So I was very happy with that."

As for whether he thinks the Black Sabbath Ballet could inspire heavy metal fans to become ballet fans, and ballet fans to become heavy metal fans, Iommi said: "I certainly hope so. I mean, it is a strange combination, but you've got to push the boat out. And, you know, hopefully, we can get everybody together. But they're opposite but they're not at the same time — because it's still creative. They're creating what they're doing. We're creating what we've done, and we're bringing them together. And I think it'd be really interesting to see the SABBATH fans and then to see the ballet fans liking it, hopefully."

Acosta revealed early last year that 60 percent of tickets at that point for the U.K. shows had been bought by SABBATH fans. He said that " BLACK SABBATH is so different from the world of ballet, and I wanted to multiply our reach. I hate to be predictable; I hate for the company to be taken for granted. Everyone knows 'Swan Lake' and 'Cinderella' … [It's] a great opportunity for us to show people the world of dance."

Austin , who supervised the music for the project, said: "Unlike THE BEATLES where you can buy two enormous volumes of all their scores with all the instrumental parts, there's not so much for BLACK SABBATH .

"When I was asked to take part in this project I thought, where do you start? The BLACK SABBATH catalog is enormous, it's so rich and so varied. So the process initially was starting to narrow down the amount of material that we wanted to work with that would furnish us with variety, with richness, with different emotional tones, but also help us create this evening-length show."

Austin added: "What I love about BLACK SABBATH music is the glorious irregularity. All the aspects of music — the flexibility of tempo and feel. And the extraordinary early period Ozzy vocals which are stratospheric, it's exceeding Pavarotti in term of the high notes and ringing power."

The songs chosen are:

* "Paranoid" ("Paranoid" album, 1970); * "Iron Man" ("Paranoid" album, 1970); * "War Pigs" ("Paranoid" album, 1970); * "Black Sabbath" ("Black Sabbath" album, 1970); * "Solitude" (Master Of Reality" album, 1971); * "Orchid" (Master Of Reality" album, 1971); * "Laguna Sunrise" ("Vol 4" album, 1972) and * "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" ("Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" album, 1973).

Speaking to BBC Radio 4 's "Today" program, Acosta   said he had been a fan of SABBATH for more than two decades, and said he felt the band's classic protest song "War Pigs" still has particular resonance.

" 'War Pigs' is so relevant today, how sometimes politicians and governments hide behind words. And all the wars happening at the moment... it's timeless," he said.
