Twenty One Pilots announces 'Clancy' concert tour, drops new single

Twenty One Pilots has announced a global world tour in anticipation of its upcoming album.

The Grammy Award-winning pop duo, known for songs like "Ride" and "Heathens," will kick off The Clancy World Tour in Colorado in August. The global trek will hit major American cities, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia and New Zealand through 2025.

The band, comprised of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun, will release its new album "Clancy" on May 17. On Wednesday, the duo dropped the single "Next Semester," which will appear on its upcoming record.

With over 33 billion streams worldwide, Twenty One Pilots has become one of the most prevalent alternative-pop groups of the times. The band's 2015 album, "Blurryface," spawned the No. 1 alternative singles "Stressed Out" and "Ride" and went on to sell 5 million copies .

What Is Twenty One Pilots’ 2024 Tour?

Twenty One Pilots’ “The Clancy World Tour” arrives in support of the band’s forthcoming sixth album, Clancy . The album is set to be a culmination of their four-album concept series, which started with the duo’s 2015 album  Blurryface.

The North American leg of Twenty One Pilots’ tour kicks off in Denver on August 15th. The duo will then hit cities like Seattle, Los Angeles, Dallas, Brooklyn, Toronto, Cleveland, Chicago, and many more. The North American run concludes with a date in Minneapolis on October 12th.

They’ll head to Australia and New Zealand for a brief run of dates in November 2024 before commencing the European leg of the “Clancy” tour in Hamburg, Germany on April 7th, 2025. The tour ends with a pair of dates at London’s O2 Arena on May 13th and 14th, 2025.

The duo will be embarking on a world tour, kicking off August 15 in Denver, CO.

GRAMMY® Award winning duo Twenty One Pilots have shared “Backslide,” the third new song to be released from their highly anticipated forthcoming album, Clancy, which will arrive May 24th via Fueled By Ramen.

Available today on  all streaming platforms , “Backslide” is joined by an official music video directed by the band’s own Josh Dun.

Twenty One Pilots will celebrate the release of Clancy with The Clancy World Tour, their biggest headline tour ever kicking off with a two-night stand on August 15th and 16th at Denver, CO’s Ball Arena. Twenty One Pilots drummer Josh Dun makes his directorial debut in the just-released clip for the Columbus duo’s latest preview of their Clancy album, “Backslide.” The visual for the mid-tempo tune debuted on Thursday morning (April 25) and it finds singer Tyler Joseph tooling around town on his red and black BMX bike in what appears to be a Groundhog Day -type scenario.

Twenty One Pilots Are Going on a Massive World Tour & Dropped a New Song to Celebrate

Not much else happens, other than a Stranger Things -style segment where Joseph appears to be transported to an alternate, dark universe where he rides his bike in a black void amid swirling leaves as well as a quick stop a child’s lemonade stand where the seemingly possessed grade schooler chants lyrics back to the singer.

The bike trip ends with Joseph pulling up to Dun’s house as the drummer flips burgers on a grill, only to realize he’s out of buns and has to return to FPE to get another bag as the visual swallows its own tail and goes back to the beginning.
