From 1 January 2023, Intrepid will no longer require travelers to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 (excluding all Polar trips and select adventure cruises).

Where are the Scottish Highlands?

The Scottish Highlands refers to the north-western part of Scotland. The region stretches from Fort William up to the Isle of Skye on the coast, and Durness in the far north-west to Inverness in the east.

How do I get to the Highlands?

If you’re traveling from overseas, the closest airports to fly to are Glasgow International Airport (GLA) or Edinburgh International Airport (EDI). From here, you can hire a car, catch a bus or take a train to one of the cities or towns in the Highlands.

If you're traveling from the  UK , you can take a train or coach to Fort William or Inverness and transfer to a local train or bus to get around the Highlands.

How do I get around the Highlands?

If you have a car, driving is the easiest way to get around the Highlands and explore at your own pace.

Don’t worry if you don't have a car, as the main places and sights in the Highlands are pretty well connected with public transport.

Trains operate between all of the main cities including Inverness, Aviemore and Fort William (and all of the towns in between).

If trains aren’t available for where you want to go, chances are you can take a local bus or coach with Stagecoach, Scottish Citylink or the National Express.

You can also take a ferry as a foot passenger or with your car to get to the Highlands’ many islands.

When is the best time to visit the Scottish Highlands?

Billy Connolly once said, “There are two seasons in Scotland: June and Winter”. And he’s not entirely wrong. The weather can be very hit and miss even during the summer.

The best time to visit if you want a chance of good weather is during the summer between June and August when the days are long and the weather is at its mildest.

Visiting in the colder months can also be a great time to see snow-capped mountains and get cozy in the pub around a log fire.

No matter what time of year you visit, it’s best to be prepared for rain and chilly weather.

What should I pack for the Highlands?

For a trip to the Highlands, or anywhere else in Scotland, bring plenty of comfortable clothing that will see you through long days of walking, exploring and visiting attractions.

The weather is pretty unpredictable, and even if the forecast says it will be warm or dry, it could (and probably will) change.

Bring a waterproof jacket, a warm coat, gloves, a hat and a scarf. A waterproof day sack can also come in quite handy to protect your phone and personal items if the heavens open while you're out walking.

What is internet access like in the Highlands?

The Scottish Highlands covers a pretty big area, including mountain ranges.

Internet access and mobile phone coverage is fine in villages, towns and main tourist hubs, but it might be a little patchy in more remote areas or at higher elevations.

Are Intrepid trips accessible for travellers with disabilities?

We are committed to making travel widely  accessible , regardless of ability or disability. We do our best to help you see the world, regardless of physical or mental limitations.

We are always happy to talk to travellers with disabilities and see if we can help guide them toward the most suitable itinerary for their needs and, where possible, make reasonable adjustments to our itineraries.

We’ll share yesterday’s stories today, to make memories for your tomorrows!

Yesterday’s stories today.

Experience tours seeing Scottish mountain peaks against the sky and waterfalls plunging into spray-filled depths; hearing of myths and legends, heroes and villains, ghosts and ghouls; visiting Harry Potter and Outlander sites, Inverness whisky bars and the Edinburgh Tattoo! All of these have the same thing in common – they are part of yesterday’s many stories, which can be retold by us for you, today.

Memories for your tomorrows

Inverness Tour Guides enjoy taking unique journeys with you. Choose one of the many tours we have made for you here, or ask us for something custom. Either way we can guarantee that every tour is individually shaped by the questions you ask, as we travel together. From the first hello we will craft days just for you, where you can create the best lifelong memories.

We are above Gairloch Beach on the NC500 - Magical Wester Ross Tour. The sun has just set, behind the low dark-silhouetted hills on the far side of the bay. The overwhelming shades of sky, sea and sand are purple and indigo through to blue. The land is to the left, and along the distant horizon, and the ocean is to the right. At the far end of the crescent of sand there are the distant figures of half a dozen people walking. Closer to us, and immediately below, is a single figure with a collie dog.

Why you'll love the Highlands

scottish highlands tour companies

Lovely Landscapes

Some landscapes tell tales of terrible battles. Others feel like they’re home to giants and fairies. Whereas many are so stunning, you’re stopped in your tracks. From barren moors to dense forests, you don’t need to delve deep into the Highlands to find beauty.

scottish highlands tour companies

Wonderful Wildlife

In the evening, you hear the owls cry. In the morning, you see silhouettes of stags in the forests. And by the sea, you can admire thrashing whales and dolphins. Scotland’s Highlands are abundant with wildlife; so it’s a good idea to bring wildlife books and binoculars on your tour.

scottish highlands tour companies

Curious Castles

Mysteries lie within. Like a hidden passageway. A strange portrait looming above you in a dark hallway. A wall torn to shreds by violence and time. The castles of Scotland display their history proudly. They sigh over their own ruinous state, welcoming your admiration over all they’ve endured.

scottish highlands tour companies

Heartfelt Hospitality

Quaint and snug cottages. Large and eerie castles. Cosy and traditional pubs. No matter where you go in the Highlands, you’re sure to receive a warm welcome. Highland hospitality is genuine and typically involves a hearty meal shared amongst new and old friends.

We had a great time. Thanks Martin.
Although our weather may have been gloomy sometimes, Graham our driver just made the whole trip the best it could possibly be. We recommend the tour but particularly because he made it.

G Adventures

G Adventures

  • Excellent - 19,197 reviews for Scottish Highlands tours
Tour guide and bus driver were both excellent. Starting hotel was terrible and no where near the main area of Edinburgh. Breakfast there was a granola bar, croissant in a plastic wrap, a yogurt, and a juice box. Our hotel room in Inverness had a leaky ceiling which we reported to the front desk right away. They said they sent maintenance to fix the issue, but that evening it was leaking again. G Adventures itinerary is not reflective of the actual tour and for many extra activities listed there was no time to do them even if we had wanted to. Isle of Skye was a real highlight along with Inverness. We only received our tour vouchers the night before we left Canada and we had to call to get it. We will not consider G Adventures for any of our future travel needs.
This was my second G Adventures tour and it proved to be as enjoyable as the first one, which was the main reason my wife and I booked it. The small size of the tour group and the variety of people made it all the better. The tour offered a good balance between structured visits of major attractions and free time to explore on our own. I would not hesitate to recommend a G Adventures tour to anyone seeking a guided travel experience in the company of other like-minded travelers.

Wir hatten einen sehr guten Busfahrer und Guide. Danke Connor!
Conner was our guide and he was fun, informative, witty and a mixed of the right amount of history along our 5 day trip. This was my first experience on a bus tour. The positive was it allows you see more of the country then if you tried to drive yourself and the amount of history and story telling was so good and entertaining. I truly enjoy the trip. We were scheduled to take the Jacabite Train and it was cancelled which was disappointing. We stayed in 3 different bed and breakfasts along they way and we had 27 on our tour and they had to split us up in 3 different B&B's at each location. I think it would of been nice for each of us to staying in the same location. Also, there was only 1 night that a planned dinner was scheduled, this was great it allowed us to eat together and to get to know one another which was so much fun. I would recommend they schedule more dinners as an option.

Not knowing that there were 2 choices, I found myself alone with a group of nine young people in a youth hostel. The older ones were in a hotel with breakfast. I wasn't offered tickets for the Harry Potter train, so I didn't have access to it. The last youth hostel was horrible. The interest of the tour and the performance of the driver who acted as guide were very good. All entrance fees are extra. No professional guide. Expensive tour for the money!
Rich, our guide was amazing! There were some great people on the bus which made every stop really enjoyable! We really loved the islands and the highlands and were sad to leave it behind, BUT we have made some cool friends. It was totally worth it. Rich has awesome pub and restaurant recommendations and his knowledge about Scotland and its history are out of this world! So ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars from Suus and Dieuwke

The tour was very interesting and gave us knowledge about the history and culture of Scottland. We loved the countryside along the way and the two day trip to the Hebrides Islands was an eye opener. Paul was entertaining and patient with us. He gave us a lot of interesting facts and insights into the Country.
We were on the incorrect tour!

Ross was full of stories of the land, the people and history of the regions we passed through. His background music was a delight. He made the passing scenery come alive for us. He was able to assess the weather and opt for a castle tour one day. He was able to choose an alternate route when a bad accident closed the planned one. He was very accommodating assisting passengers access their hotels and b&b’s. His timing and recommendations for breaks was excellent.
Had a brilliant trip.

Intrepid Travel

  • Excellent - 11,757 reviews for Scottish Highlands tours
I recently traveled with a friend to Scotland. We included a week long tour with Intrepid, booked through Tour Radar. We paid a very healthy sum for the tour, $3,460 each. The description said the trip was appropriate for ages 15-99. It also described two nights in Portree on Isle of Skye with a private van tour on the full day on Isle of Sky. My friend and I chose this tour because of the time spent in Portree and on Isle of Skye, the small group size, and that if it was okay for ages 15-99 then I’d be fine six months post a major knee surgery. What wasn’t included in the description and what happened: -No where did it say that we’d be expected to walk/transport our luggage on foot from Points of transportation to our lodging ranging from 10-20 minutes. My 94 year old father-in-law lives with us and is able bodied, but there’s no way he could have done these distances While also carrying/pulling luggage. My 87 year old mother could not accomplish this either. I could do it with my recovering knee, but I was slower and it also used up some of the energy I needed for enjoying walking portions of the tour. I didn’t anticipate having to schlep my suitcase for 15 minutes at a time over uneven sidewalks, etc. I would have packed differently had I known or we would have looked for a different tour. -My friend and I still wonder why Fort Williams was included on the itinerary as a place to stay?
The only thing Intrepid provided was a walk to a castle that wasn’t open for visitors. The rest was on our own and there really wasn’t much happening other than a nice, little museum. We would have preferred more time on Isle of Skye. -We were notified prior to departure that our time on Isle of Skye would be at Kyleakin - not in Portree- and we’d have to arrange our own tour. Phone numbers were provided but no one on the tour had any luck booking anything prior to arriving, calls not returned, no availability, etc. So, 3-4 of our tour group spent 2 FULL hours or more on their phones while we were in Fort Williams trying to come up with some options for us. They pieced together a public bus ride to/from Kyleakin to Portree and a private taxi tour at our own expense! (After paying for it in the cost of our tour.) This should have been done by Intrepid!! Not once were we offered reimbursement. We didn’t have any time in Portree. We’d hoped to have lunch before our taxi tour, but all the restaurants were full. I found a to-go cup of tea and scone at a bike shop, then time in cue to use a bathroom. I’d looked forward to staying in Portree and had many places I had planned to walk to when not on the private van tour we were sold but didn’t get. Also, While staying in Kyleakin, the guest house did not provide a cooked breakfast, just light snacks in our rooms. Breakfast was provided, but we had to walk to/from the restaurant that was a mile each way. This used up time we could have been site seeing. Also, it would use up my knee energy for the days site-seeing. My friend went to breakfast but I skipped the walk to reserve my energy for site-seeing. Oh, and the whiskey tasting…we passed distilleries but we Were given a private lesson on tasting with our tour guide. While he did a fine job, the setting was not the same as a distillery setting. The room was bare, we used wine glasses, we were Supposed to take notes but no hard surfaces to write on, etc. Just wasn’t what any of us were expecting. I found Intrepid’s disregard for the changes and the misleading descriptions as to be very unprofessional. I use tours so that I don’t have to do all of the arranging. Why pay you if I’m going to have to do it myself? Next time I book a tour, I’ll be sure to avoid Intrepid. Many friends have asked about my trip. Unfortunately, the biggest disappointment was the tour. I’ve shared that multiple times now. I’m not the only member of the group that walked away Disappointed. We didn’t want to “blame” the tour guide, I don’t think he was responsible, he was just trying to keep us happy as he could sense how displeased we were. His answers too our questions were not satisfying at all. He seemed to be trying to cover for the company best he could.
My husband and I just returned from the Highlights of Scotland Tour. We had a great time! We would go back to Scotland again and soon! The country is beautiful, and the people are very friendly. The itinerary was great. Our introduction to Scotland, on this tour, covered a lot of ground. We did a loop around the country and were able to enjoy a lot of different landscapes. We enjoyed the activity level included in the tour as well. Our tour guide, Martin, was excellent. He is a native of Scotland and it was obvious that he loves his country. We would recommend this trip to anyone as long as they are active.

The Spirit of Outlander tour was great! This tour is geared for Outlander fans but you don't have to be a fan to enjoy all the locations visited. Our tour guide, Paul, was fantastic! His knowledge, enthusiasm, and professionalism was 5-star! It was very exciting to visit the filming sites of Outlander and to be walking in the footsteps of the actors! There were a variety of locations to visit daily from castles to churches and gardens. There were also unscheduled photo stops to capture the scenic beauty on the way to visiting various locations. My husband and I waited over 2 years to take this trip (due to Covid) and it was worth the wait! The hotels were top notch and the meals provided were good! A thoroughly exciting trip!
Overall our experience with our tour was good. Our guide was very knowledgeable and fun.

We had an excellent experience, Angela the guide was super (safe driving, clear communication, kind willingness to adjust, in my case recommending alternate walks when the group was embarked on a hike a bit above my level), hotels comfortable, food very good. Another lovely trip purchased from Tour Radar!
Tour was great. Angela is amazing. She’s so knowledgeable and looked after the group at all times.

The tour guide Andrew was so knowledgeable !! He took care of us and made sure everyone was comfortable at all times! The coach driver Karen was a fantastic driver with a great sense of humor! The two were perfectly paired! Enjoyed the hotels and meals immensely! The rooms were all great and hotel on Isle of Skye was in the best location overlooking the water...fabulous tour!!! Would have liked one night in Edinburg.

This is an all inclusive tour. We were well fed, excellent meals, fantastic itinerary, and thoughtful crew and guides. Biking is an excellent way to see the country.

Isle of skye, amazing value for a full day tour all over scotland.

“Honestly the best £57 I’ve ever spent. Was such amazing value compared to the other tours I had looked at. I had a day on my own in Edinburgh and decided I should go and see the Harry Potter bridge but we saw so much more! Didn’t realise we covered so much of Scotland in one day and took so many great photos. Alan was amazing - he gave us a constant commentary all day and he really seemed to enjoy his job. I was a bit worried I might be bored of the long drives or there would be a lack of stops but it was such a jam packed day and plenty of toilet and snack breaks Stopped for some whisky ice cream and a mulled wine on the way home which completed a fab day. Will definitely be coming back with my boyfriend and hopefully do some more Timberbush tours - would recommend if you have any spare time in Scotland!”

Frequently Asked Questions About Highland Tours

You might want to know more about the Scottish Highlands before you book your tour. Below you can find answers to commonly asked questions to help you plan your trip. Read on to learn all about visiting the Highlands or get in touch with our Scotland team .

Alternatively, find out how to make a booking , have a look at our FAQs , or learn about our Book With Confidence travel plan.

1. WHERE ARE THE SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS?

You’ll find the Highlands in northern Scotland, covering the top part of the country. The southern Highland boundary covers the Fort William area in the west, taking in Aviemore and Inverness in the east. Spanning almost 10,000 square miles (25,900 square kilometres), the Highlands make up a third of Scotland.

2. WHAT ARE THE SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS FAMOUS FOR?

Visit Scotland’s Highlands and you’ll get to experience iconic elements of Scottish culture and nature. The region is known for unspoiled mountains, glens, lochs , forests and rivers, as well as rugged islands and coastline.

Plus, you could tour whisky distilleries, and go to a traditional Highland games. The region is also known for its  famous castles , some of which were used as filming locations for the hit TV series The Crown .

Read more cool facts about scotland on our experts' blog.

3. ARE THE SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS WORTH VISITING?

Yes, we highly recommend you explore the Scottish Highlands! Visiting this region allows you to delve into some of Scotland’s most breathtaking landscapes. You’d get to enjoy outdoor activities in beautiful settings, look for native wildlife, and discover charming rural villages.

A trip to the Highlands also brings fascinating Scottish history to life. You’ll have the chance to discover centuries-old castles, famous battlefields and insightful museums.

What’s more, as Scotland is a relatively small country, the Highlands are easy to reach. It doesn’t take long to drive here from major cities like Edinburgh or Glasgow. All the more reason to come and explore this mystical corner of Scotland for yourself!

4. WHERE SHOULD I GO IN THE SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS?

There are so many stunning places awaiting you in the Scottish Highlands. You could explore a mix of hidden gems and famous sites on your trip. Like so many visitors, you’ll probably want to come back to see even more of the region!

These are the top-recommended destinations to visit on your Scottish Highlands vacation:

  • Cairngorms National Park
  • Fort William
  • Isle of Skye

For more inspiration, discover the best Scottish castles and the most beautiful places to visit in Scotland on our experts’ blog.

5. WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT THE SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS?

The best time to visit Scotland depends on what you’d like to see and do during your time here. If enjoying outdoor activities and reaching remote areas are your thing, we’d recommend visiting Scotland in summer (June to August). You’d get long daylight hours and mild weather at this time of year.

Summer is the most popular season for visitors to the Highlands. The spring and autumn are both great alternatives if you want to travel during a quieter period. You’d also have a better chance of avoiding midges, which are most active in the summer months.

You could consider a winter trip to the Highlands if you love the idea of escaping to a cosy guesthouse amid the frosty landscapes. Compared to the summer, you’d have fewer hours of daylight for exploring and colder weather. But for peace and quiet, winter is your best bet.

Why visit Scotland in the spring or autumn

6. HOW DO YOU GET AROUND THE SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS?

The best way to get around the Scottish Highlands is by driving. You could take the train or bus, but with a car you’d be able to reach more sights and see all that Scotland has to offer.

With Nordic Visitor you can choose from self-drive , privately guided and small group tours of Scotland , depending on how you want to see the country. You might like to take a self-guided trip, or perhaps you’d prefer to explore with a local guide.

To leave the driving to someone else and have a local guide show you around, opt for a privately guided or small group tour. You’d benefit from the insight of a Scotland expert who would share their insider knowledge with you.

Alternatively, a self-drive tour is ideal if you’d prefer the independence of a Scottish road trip. You can travel at your own pace and stop whenever you feel like it. If you are visiting from the UK, you could still enjoy a Nordic Visitor self-drive tour but with your own car. Contact us to find out more .

For inspiration on driving in Scotland, discover the best road trips in Scotland and this complete guide to driving the North Coast 500 .

7. HOW MANY DAYS DO YOU NEED TO SEE SCOTLAND?

Deciding how long to spend in Scotland all depends on the type of experience you are looking for. The longer you stay here, the more you’ll get to see!

For an in-depth tour, we recommend you stay for two to three weeks . This would give you enough time to explore all corners of the country and travel to some of the beautiful islands. For example, you could visit the Hebrides, or the Isles of Mull, Iona and Islay.

Or come for around 10 days to experience the highlights of Scotland. You’d be able to reach the Highlands, Isle of Skye and eastern Scotland in this time.

If you’ve only got one week or less, you can enjoy an express Scotland trip. Take a tour from Edinburgh or Glasgow and see the essential sights like Loch Lomond and the Trossachs, one of the national parks in Scotland. You could also venture further north to visit the Highlands.

8. Is car rental included in your self-drive tours of Scotland?

Yes, your self-drive tour with Nordic Visitor includes car rental with our tried-and-tested hire car suppliers in Scotland.

You receive a collision damage waiver (CDW) and an excess waiver to reduce liability to zero. On top of that, you enjoy unlimited mileage and the authorisation for two drivers. We don’t cover your road trip music: that is all up to you!

If you’ve already got a tour but now need to change your dates, contact your travel consultant as soon as possible to rearrange your package.

11. WHEN SHOULD I ORGANISE MY FLIGHTS?

We recommend that you book your Nordic Visitor tour first to secure your preferred dates before buying your flights. Do search for flights in the meantime so you know what’s available, but wait to purchase them until after your travel consultant has confirmed your tour booking.

By securing your Scotland tour first, you get introduced to your dedicated travel consultant and you will receive all of your package details. This means you can make a more informed choice when reserving flights in and out of Scotland. If you have any questions you can always contact us for advice .

12. WHAT TO PACK FOR THE SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS?

Scotland’s climate can be a little unpredictable, even in summer. You might get lovely sunny days, rain, wind, or snow (in winter). That’s why we suggest you pack clothing and gear for all eventualities.

Here’s our recommended packing list for your Scottish Highlands tour:

  • Warm layers
  • Waterproof trousers and jackets
  • Sensible footwear

Travel Itinerary- PRIVATE GROUPS MAX 7 PERSONS

Highland and Skye 7 day Tour 2024

7 days/6 nights Travel Itinerary

DAY 1: DOUNE CASTLE, BLAIR ATHOL DISTILLERY & PITLOCHRY

Your adventure begins with a tour of Doune Castle. Few castles can boast thecelebrity status of Doune, near Stirling - built in the late 14th century, it achievedfame having been featured in the famous Monty Python film, ‘The Holy Grail’. Morerecently, it has also featured in T.V.s ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Outlander’. We thentravel to the quaint Victorian village of Pitlochry in ancient Perthshire for your first Malt Whisky experience as you enjoy a tour and tasting session at the famous Blair Athol Distillery. Finally, enjoy a stroll around Pitlochry’s traditional shops and craft stores before arriving at your hotel.

DAY 2: CAIRNGORM NATIONAL PARKS & CULLODEN

Enjoy the scenic journey through Cairngorms National Park, with its stunning mountains and ancient Caledonian Pine Forests. You’ll visit Culloden Battlefield & visitor centre and learn about Bonnie PrinceCharlie who, with his Jacobite Army, fought the last civil war on British soil in 1746. Culloden is also now another “Outlander” location with scenes being filmed at the real battlefield. Our next stop, Clava Cairns and Standing Stones, is a well-preserved Bronze-Age cairn and an incredible example of the historic architecture of the Highlands, dating back about 4,000 years. There will be free time to explore Inverness before heading to your hotel

DAY 3: EILEAN DONAN & LOCH NESS

Today we head for Skye - “The Misty Isle”, travelling through the village of Fort Augustus on the shores of Loch Ness then beautiful Glenshiel . We’ll visit one of Scotland’s most picturesque castles, Eilean Donan, which sits on its own small island at the head of Loch Duich. With a fascinating history, from raids and sieges to its destruction during the Jacobite rising in 1719, there will be plenty of opportunity for photographs of this breathtaking castle. After lunch, we go over the bridge to Skye and head straight for the Talisker Distillery where you’ll learn how this world class Malt is created and enjoy a dram or two before checking in to your hotel.

DAY 4: ISLE OF SKYE

Wake to the excitement of a day exploring the splendid scenery of the Isle of Skye. Touring the island, we pass through Broadford and the Cuillin Mountains to explore the capital of Portree which has an old-fashioned appeal with colourful houses and a traditional harbour. We’ll then explore the north of the island and the Trotternish Peninsula with it’s fabulous scenery and seascapes including The Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock Falls and the spectacularly bizarre scenery of the Quiraing. We’ll finish a memorable day at the famous Fairy Pools (weather permitting).

DAY 5: Skye Ferry, Glenfinnan Viaduct and Monument, Fort William

We’ll take the famous Skye boat to the harbour town of Mallaig then head along side Loch Morar, with wonderful views across the Sound of Arisaig to the Small Isles. After lunch, we reach the Glenfinnan monument on the shores of Loch Shiel which marks the spot where the 1745 Jacobite Rising began. This is also a great viewpoint for the Glenfinnan Viaduct, a renowned feat of Victorian engineering and known more recently for being featured as the famous bridge crossed by the Hogwarts Express in the Harry Potter films. The day ends with a visit to Ben Nevis Distillery, situated at the foot of the largest mountain in Scotland

DAY 6: Fort William, Loch Linnhe & Glencoe

Experience the Glencoe Mountain Range - we’ll stop for pictures of the famous ‘Three Sisters’ and hear stories of the historical significance and violent past of this famous Glen culminating in the massacre of Glencoe in 1692. Returning to Fort William, you’ll enjoy lunch and then visit the local museum with its fascinating artefacts. In the afternoon, get close to Lochaber’s wild heart on an enthralling boat tour. You’ll cruise down Loch Linnhe to see the local seal colony and take in the magnificent views on every side. Heading back, you’ll hopefully catch sight of the local dolphin pod. Look out for eagles as we head to the narrows of Loch Eil, and then on to the mouth of the world famous Caledonian Canal

DAY 7: Inverary Castle and Loch Lomond

This morning we make for Clan Campbell country to visit one of Scotland’s finest stately homes,Inveraray Castle & Gardens, a stunning building still owned by the Duke of Argyll and in recent times featured in the TV series Downton Abbey. We then head over the ‘Rest and Be Thankful’ mountain pass stopping for some photographs at this beautiful and atmospheric landmark before continuing into Scotland’s first National Park. We’ll stop on the ‘bonnie banks’ of Loch Lomond and walk the shores at the conservation village of Luss., We may even spot the odd Highland Cow !! It’s then time to head to your Glasgow or Edinburgh City Centre hotel, and the conclusion of your Top Scottish Tour.
