BTS

K-pop group BTS is continuing its world tour in April, with four newly announced dates at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The global superstars will perform on April 8, 9, 15 and 16, with the last day of the tour being streamed live online. Additionally, the group’s event “Live Play in Las Vegas” will be held on all four days at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

The news comes after the group’s announcement last week of concert dates in Seoul, South Korea on March 10, 12 and 13 at the Seoul Olympic Stadium. Those performances will be BTS’ first in its home country since 2019. BTS performed four sold-out shows at SoFi stadium in Los Angeles at the end of last year, filling the stadium with tens of thousands of fans. According to Billboard , the group’s tour dates in L.A. grossed $33.3 million with 214,000 tickets sold — the most made by a run of shows at a single venue since 2012.

BTS is best known for hits “Butter” and “Dynamite,” with the former nominated for best pop duo/group performance at this year’s Grammy Awards . The nomination is BTS’ second, following last year’s nomination for “Butter.” The 64th Annual Grammy Awards will be held in Las Vegas just before BTS’ concert dates, on April 3 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. BTS has yet to win a Grammy, but is known for its extremely devoted fans who have helped catapult the group to global superstardom since its debut in 2013.

Popular on Variety

Registration to purchase tickets for the group’s new dates is open from now until Feb. 26 at 5 p.m., when tickets will go on sale. Tickets for BTS’ Los Angeles dates sold out almost immediately.

If Gary B's suggestion does not work out:

I once chartered a bus and driver from Hana to drive a group of Koreans to various locations in Los Angeles, and was pleased with the service. But I had a fluent Korean speaker organizing this, so we did not have to learn how well the Hana people speak English.

KoreaTown Village, the latest venture on Spring Mountain, promises to hold all your beloved Koreatown experiences. Spearheaded by the reputable Sapporo Group Management (SGM) – the driving force behind popular Las Vegas spots like Sapporo Revolving Sushi, Master Kim’s Korean BBQ, and Ichi Ramen House – this new project will bring multiple beloved brands under one roof.

Master Kim’s Korean BBQ is said to take up 4,000 square feet, and Industry 13 Karaoke and Bar has a spacious 5,000 square feet; they recently opened in August 2023. And there’s more – the plaza will also host the first ever Korean bank in Las Vegas, called Open Bank; adding to the variety of what a KoreaTown Village will be like.

Going back to the early days of this project, Freddy Hwang, the CEO of SGM , had a unique vision for the plaza. At first, he pictured a one-stop hub featuring all of SGM’s diverse brands. However, when Open Bank, a prominent California-based bank well-known in the Korean-American community, approached him, a wave of pride and joy washed over him at the prospect of having a Korean-rooted bank as part of SGM’s project. This inspired a swift shift in their vision, transforming the multi-brand plan into a meticulously organized Korean-American forward destination.

The location at 5599 Spring Mountain Rd. spans out 13,000 square feet, but SGM sees it as just the beginning. In our conversation, Mr. Hwang unveiled SGM’s dream of crafting a vast mall filled with an assortment of Korean discoveries. KoreaTown Village project is an ideal launchpad for the company’s ambitious future ventures. As KoreaTown Village takes shape on Spring Mountain, it promises a tighter-knit Korean-American community for Las Vegas locals to embrace.

SGM sees their projects and ventures as more than just businesses; it’s a culmination of the company’s hard work – the thoughtfully curated modern designs, the meticulously selected brands – all embodying their vigilant dream of bringing Korean food and culture for everyone to enjoy.

Top 5 airlines serving from Las Vegas to South Korea

Overall, very uneventful and pleasant experience. Most importantly, no delays.

The flight crews were extremely professional, helpful, and courteous. Departure and arrival times were accurate. No delay. I will use K airline again. Thanks

We were seated at the back and that was very uncomfortable for me with the turbulence we experienced on our way to Chicago.

I enjoyed flying on Korean Air. The service was great and the food was yummy. They served white fish.

I enjoyed flying on Korean Air. The service was great and the food was yummy, especially the bibimbap and cold spicy noodles. The only thing that bummed me out on this red-eye flight was that my seat did not properly recline so I was not able to sleep.

On time and flight crew are always so happy to help and always smiling unlike other airlines.

Great crew, decent food Charging plugs were broken on both seats next to me. Only the USB port was available, and that charges, very, very slowly. Seat was also broken, it would not lock into position when reclining.

Korean Air had great service and the Bibimbap dish was the best airplane food I’ve ever had. It was a long flight so in between the two meals they served customers could get Shin ramen. The flight attendants let my children use a pair of nice headphones for the flight and had earbuds and slippers for all the adults. The flight was long but the time passed by relatively quickly because they have many great shows in their entertainment TV. I watched the BTS Love Yourself and Speak Yourself concerts 💜

Stewardess are nice. Food could have been better and should have a better dessert. They do not offer scotch or beer. You have to ask for it. I also was not happy that you do not serve ginger ale and or cranberry juice. This is my first time that an international flight do not have this. I go home overseas every year and when I travel through ANA, Delta, Qatar, JAL, Asiana Air, United Air. they all serve this two very famous drink. You do not have a great snack tray.

You did not put me on a Korean Air flight! so I do not have nothing to say

Seems like crew assumed you're korean. Not impressed by crew

One of the flight was delayed. The flight attendant of returning flight to LA was mean.

Flight attendants rude, they disappear for almost 3 hours not doing rounds to see what people needed. The laboratories were full of empty water cups, because they never come back to collect them.

Flew on an Airbus 350-900. Excellent aircraft properly cleaned and serviced. Flight crew was excellent plane departed and arrived on time. The A350 has excellent air circulation far better than the 777. I would recommend Asiana to anyone looking to fly in a clean comfortable environment. This is my second round trip flight from New York to Bangkok via Asiana and I will book Asiana again!

I could not choose my seat prior to check in

I had the most wonderful experience from CEB bag drop through deplaning. The staff, the aircraft, food, and cabin crew were all amazing. I want to give a kudos to Marky from Mactan Cebu's Asiana airport staff for his exceptional customer service and assistance.

JetBlue's check-in was great, but there was an in-flight attendant who was very rude and unkind. I didn't realize that the bathrooms were already locked 30 mins prior to landing and needed to use the restroom. Instead of politely asking me to return, she rudely told me, 'NO, bathrooms are locked! Go back to your seat!' The JetBlue flight was more than an hour delay, which made me almost miss my connecting flight with Asiana. I understand the reasoning, but the action they took to get a hold of maintenance was time consuming. It took them more than 30 mins to get a hold of maintenance and for maintenance to get started. The Asiana flight and crew were wonderful, in general. They waited for us who were delayed from the previous flight before they took off and were very kind to take my checked baggage's info. Seats were a little uncomfortable for such long flight, but service and flight attendants were great! However, my 3 checked baggages are missing! They're lost somewhere in the transition. I'm writing this review 3 days after my arrival to the Philippines, and my 3 checked baggages, where my wedding dress is, are all still missing! I and the CEB airport crew have sent multiple emails to both JetBlue and Asiana, and neither has responded to any of our emails. Although, I was able to get in contact with JetBlue's Interline Department who confirmed that the bags were turned over to Asiana without confirmation details.

The full flat bed was not that comfortable, hard and lumpy., too much space wasted with those bulky walls and divisions instead of making the bed 3-4 inches wider. The compartment where you put your feet is like a shoebox, poor design. Toilets of A350 are just too small, sink is too small

Aside from a LOT of turbulence the flight was perfect! The flight crew was superb and the food was delicious!

The seats (legroom) are tight and chairs cushion is stiff (not comfortable). The crew was courteous, professional and friendly. There was no food / snack for this flight (very short flight, but still would be nice to provide some snack for the enjoyment).

Parents with kids should all be in the same area. Sounds rude but who what's to fly 6hrs with crying and bratty kids. Just my opinion.

Ok, so I didn’t have seats, so got there very early. I was first in line only to be told, listen for your name for seats. The flight was boarding before they gave me a middle seat, way after others showed up who were given more favorable treatment. Ok, so , don’t show up early and obey all the rules??? Clearly, your gate clerks did not. What gives???

Short flight but delayed. Since its a short flight no food or entertainment necessary

We had an awesome flight attendant who came by and made sure we were okay. Checked on us often and even shared some snacks that she had brought on, like edamame with chili and garlic seasoning. Yummy!

Overall good experience. I'm just over 6ft with long legs and legroom could be better, but is on par with other airlines. Only real negative was turbulence but that's not the airlines fault.

We were not given the seats we reserved. But helpful attendant at gate gave us very nice seats.

Having movies helps past time I wish going Vegas had something

First flight got cancelled. Got booked for another flight departing 3.5 hours later which ended up being 1hr delayed... The flight was good when we finally ended up flying.

Very friendly und helpful crew. Looking forward for some more flights in

My husband and I had to split seats and I did not like to seat at the window.

Fine. Though no food or entertainment so the survey needs to be updated with those options.

Backpack should NOT allowed put in the flight bin , only put it under the seat. I can't find space put my carry on luggage!!! and I pay for it ! that was very bad experience

Fantastic. Smooth boarding with an infant. Never experienced it with any other carriers.

This was a flight operated by Lufthansa. See me prior comments, which were meant for this experience. The CSA, Ashley, should be reprimanded if not fired for incompetence, being rude, and very, very slow. She was whispering to other CSAs, blaming my flight change on others, unable to give me a seat assignment, telling me could not help without offering any advice (I travel 200,000 miles a year and am a consultant to the airlines, so I know how this gets done PRETTY DAMN WELL). Then, she gave me literally the worst seat on the airline (yes, there were other seats open) - the one right next to the bathroom that was so bad the other PAX next to me left to move to another seat. My seat kept getting rammed (3x) by the crew with their carts (no turbulence to speak of), other passengers grabbing the seat to get in or out of the bathroom, and listening to the bathroom flush all night.

This was a Lufthansa flight, not United. The CSA at the counter, Ashley, was not only incompetent, but quite rude. Me and two other PAX waited over 7 minutes standing in front of her and another CSA and they ignored us. We joked that we must have accidently taken invisibility pills. She could have at least said "I'll be with you in a moment, I'm currently....". I could go on about how rude she and the other CSAs were (whispering, not communicating with me, blaming the situation on others, etc.). She would not work for me. Then, she gave me literally the worst seat on the plane. the worst. My seat kept getting bumped (rammed twice by the crew with their carts and about every 5 minutes by someone using the bathroom), listening to the bathroom all night, crowded seat, etc.

My seat was broken. WiFi didn’t work. Gate crew at HOU were rude and condescending. Treated all the passengers badly. Bad experience, United.

First flight of the day… MINIMUM FUEL! 15 minute landing delay at HOU due to fog turned into a 2+ hour delay! Rather than circle, they had to divert to another city to refuel! Sat on tarmac at Austin to refuel. We ALL missed our connections! The crew, including pilots, were clueless. Crew was really a mess. At HOU, Untied employees were exceedingly rude to all. It was pitiful.

Food wasn’t very good, old business seating configuration on an old A340

An hour and a half late is UNACCEPTABLE. The negative impact to our family is unconscionable. And for the price we were forced to pay...

Standard flight experience, but there is only power at the seat to row 20 on the aircraft, on my initial check in it did not say that was the case

The flight was excellent the problem was that my luggage was damaged (zipper pulls ripped out) and it is difficult to contact the number to claim the damage while in another country and going back to the airport is not an option and no matter what I tried I got the same response to just call the number that is not possible for me to call in the first place. So very disappointed that I can’t claim such damage and that now I have to take part of my trip looking for a new luggage.

Flight was delayed for almost 3 hours. Communication of gate change was poor. Email and screen said one gate and it was a different gate from that. Gate changed first to 64 B and then to 64 C. Originally it was 68B. 64C was not communicated properly!

This was a red eye return, so I doubt there would be anyway to make it better. Other than adding beds.

Direct nonstop flight was great. Flight was delayed and the crew announced a 2h delay on the sound system. 30 min or so later I hear my name on the sound system for immediate board. Several other passangers were late too. Reason: The crew incorrectly announced a 2h delay when in reality they meant a new boarding time at 2pm.

Plenty of room in the exit row. Sat on the plane an hour before taking off.☹️ Landed late and had to wait for gate availability.

Flight was on time early arrival better entertainment good staff.everything was excellent

Delayed leaving. On arrival we were taken to the airstrip and had to get off onto an over crowed bus, not all that passengers fit. Drove around the airport for 20 + minutes. Taken off the bus told to go upstairs 3 flights then all the passengers had to walk a mile or more , those of us old there was no one to direct us to were to go. I asked several people with no answers. Once I got to baggage claim my bags were not on the right bag claim. Once again asked for help and finally someone found my bags on a different carasel. Very frustrating.

Excellent host on board. Not so friendly check-in staff. Older plane with no food or entertainment due to short flight. Friendly captain and crew.

I don’t think there was entertainment? No mention of it. It was a good flight. Only complaint was my seat cushion was not attached and kept slipping.

They canceled the flight on us very close to the flight date .

Nevada veterans get unexpected thank you at Korean War Memorial during Honor Flight

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Korean War veterans from Nevada laid a wreath at the Korean War Veterans Memorial in a recent honor flight to Washington D.C.

And while at the memorial, they heard some unexpected words from the President of the Korean War Veterans Memorial Foundation, Steve Lee.

“Thank you for all that you did in the defense of South Korea all those decades ago. What you did for a country that you didn’t know and a people you didn’t know, was you saved them, changed their history and you made America better. It is as simple and as profound as that,” said Steve Lee.

“I can’t explain it in words, but it means so much to me that the people think that much of us for what we did. And we thank God that he brought us through it, brought us back to where we can be here today,” said Korean War veteran Matthew Harville.

The group later toured the 9/11 Memorial where a plane hit the Pentagon. There are 184 memorial benches with reflecting pools to remember the people killed on the plane and inside the Pentagon.

“This is the first time I’ve gotten to see the memorial. And it’s very moving. It really is. It brings back memories,” said John Ottery.

Ottery was an Honor Flight guardian on the trip with Honor Flight Southern Nevada. Guardians are paired with a veteran the entire trip.

Ottery was working in D.C. on 9/11 and was supposed to be at the Pentagon for a meeting. But he did not go to the Pentagon because the meeting was canceled.

He says a couple of his friends were also set to be at the meeting, which was not in the area where the plane hit. His friends stayed in the Pentagon and ended up in the same location where the plane struck the Pentagon. Both of Ottery’s friends died, including Navy Lt. Commander Eric Cranford, a helicopter pilot who served two tours in the Persian Gulf. Also killed was Lt. Scott Lamana, who helped monitor the Navy’s global fleet in the Pentagon’s Navy Command Center.

“Good guy, young guy with a family, just kind of starting out. Doing what the Navy asked him to do. Just another day on the job,” said Ottery.

The group also visited the U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery along with several other memorials.

Kylie Minogue announces Las Vegas residency ahead of 16th studio album, Tension

The "Padam Padam" singer has officially signed on for a series of concerts starting this November at the Venetian.

las vegas korean tour

If you can't get Kylie Minogue out of your head, then start booking your trip to Las Vegas.

On Thursday, the Australian pop diva officially announced she's signed up for a set of shows at the Venetian hotel's new cabaret-style nightclub, Voltaire, starting November 4. The venue seats "around 1,000," per a Venetian exec.

"Today is the day where it all becomes, beautifully real," said Minogue at the Los Angeles event announcing her residency. Adding that she and the Vegas resort have been "living with this" for "close to three years." "So to finally be able to say, yes, I am doing a show in Vegas and to be at Voltaire at the Venetian Resort, it's just, it's such a good match. And, yeah, I couldn't be more excited."

Minogue's first City of Sin residency, tickets for which go on sale August 3, comes as she prepares to release her 16th studio album, Tension , which has already made a splash with song-of-the-summer contender "Padam Padam."

"The spirit of Voltaire is one of pure, authentic fun. It's one I resonate with as a pop artist. My new album Tension is all about the space where the intimate and universal come together and Voltaire represents just that," the singer further shared in a statement. "The creative team has designed an environment where people can get up and dance at their tables and revel in the night – that's what my music is for."

While the singer quipped about being "slightly panicked for my friends and fans" about the 1,000 seat size of the theater, she feels "fantastic" about the intimacy of it all. "It's gonna be a hot ticket. Listen, I love performing in all sorts of venues. It can be huge, tiny, and this is somewhere not in the middle," Minogue continued, "but I think it's got scale enough that you're gonna feel like you are sharing this moment with enough people, but also there's that exclusivity."

This will be the singer's first series of concerts since the end of her Golden Tour shows in 2019, which promoted her 2018 album Golden — though she performed some hits from her 2020 album Disco at World Pride in Sydney earlier this year.

"Even grown-ups need to have fun. Grown-ups can dance like they're still 17," Minogue told EW ahead of releasing Disco , which she described as disco for adults. "There's drive to be successful and do good things, but to reach people and connect them, it means something. I wanted more of that."
