Vietnamese Discovery

Vietnam is a country defined by water. The mighty Mekong Delta in the tropical south is the agricultural heart of this fascinating country where life is literally lived on the water. The Thu Bon river exalted Hoi An to one of the greatest Asian port cities before leaving a unique city frozen in time. The Red River passes through the country’s elegant capital, Hanoi, later forming another huge delta that flows into the Gulf of Tonkin, home to the stunning karsts of Halong Bay. During the course of your fabulous tour you experience ancient history, French colonial style, and stories of past conflict, all mixed with the energy of the industrious Vietnamese which binds this country together.

What's included:

  • Return flights
  • VIP door-to-door travel service
  • 11 nights in hotels and 2 in flight
  • 24 meals: 11 breakfasts, 8 lunches, 5 dinners
  • Souvenir reusable water bottle

Full Itinerary

Day 1: london - in flight.

Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to London Heathrow Airport for a scheduled Vietnam Airlines flight to Ho Chi Minh City, which may touch down in Frankfurt.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City

Following an early morning arrival into Ho Chi Minh City transfer to the Renaissance Riverside Hotel, where an early check-in has been arranged. Although the name of Vietnam’s largest city officially changed in 1975, the city is still widely referred to as Saigon. Behind the bustling activity of this city, you will find wide boulevards and fine French colonial buildings together with more modern expansion, as the city continues to shape itself as a contemporary commercial city. This afternoon take a tour including the former Presidential Palace, where tanks bursting through its gates symbolised the fall of Saigon in 1975. It is now preserved as a museum. You'll also see the Opera House and City Hall, and visit the Central Post Office, designed and constructed by Gustave Eiffel.

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City

This morning head out to the Cu Chi district to visit the vast underground tunnel complex from where the North Vietnamese waged their guerrilla activities. You will learn about the construction of this network and of the extreme difficulties of living in this harsh subterranean environment. The afternoon is free for you to relax before we enjoy an included evening cruise on the Saigon River with dinner.

Day 4: Ho Chi Minh City - Cai Be

You pay an early morning visit to the Cai Be Floating Market by boat, where bamboo poles hung with produce adorn vendors’ sampan boats to attract custom. Visit a Cao Dai temple before heading to the Mekong Delta, formed by myriad distributaries of this major river whose source lies in China over 2,500 miles away. This fertile area is known as the ‘rice basket’ of Vietnam and throughout the day you will see the local farming community in their daily life, tending to their paddy fields and fruit plantations. Upon our arrival in Cai Be board a motorboat for our introduction to life on the river. After lunch continue your explorations of the region by boat. Stay overnight at the Mekong Riverside Resort.

Day 5: Cai Be - Hoi An

Spend some time in Chinatown before transferring to the airport for your flight to Danang. Upon arrival transfer to Hoi An and the Hoi An Historic Hotel, your base for a three night stay.

Day 6: Hoi An

This morning head out into the countryside to visit a local village, before returning to the ancient trading port of Hoi An. The historic town, now listed by UNESCO, was one of the busiest harbours in Asia until gradual silting up of the Thu Bon river forced trade to nearby Danang. Hoi An was then left relatively untouched, resulting in an outstanding centre of 19th century architecture. The best way to explore is on foot, especially as cars are banned from its historic centre. You will visit the unique Japanese bridge and a Chinese communal house.

Day 7: Hoi An

Today, you explore the brick temple ruins at My Son, which translates to ‘Beautiful Mountain’. This site was the religious centre of the Champa Kingdom for hundreds of years and is inscribed onto the UNESCO World Heritage list. Tour the temples, get an insight into Cham culture, and learn how even this remote site was not immune to bombing during the Vietnam War. Following our return to Hoi An, the remainder of the afternoon is at leisure.

Day 8: Hoi An - Hue

This morning we overland to Hue, the former epicentre of Vietnam. Indeed no fewer than thirteen Nguyen Dynasty Emperors ruled the country from this city, which is intersected by the Perfume River. Later, much of the city was destroyed during the Vietnam War, due to its location close to the former border between North and South Vietnam. This afternoon visit the contrasting tombs of Emperors Tu Duc and Khai Dinh, which are located in the hills that overlook the city. You also visit Tu Hieu, one of Hue’s most revered Buddhist monasteries and pagodas. Stay for two nights at the Indochine Palace Hotel.

Visit the Imperial Citadel, where UNESCO is assisting in the restoration of this important site, which was originally modelled on Beijing’s Forbidden City. Later take a short boat trip, before visiting a market located where the Dong Ba Canal joins the Perfume River - local life is very much in evidence. The afternoon is free for you to make your own explorations.

Day 10: Hue - Hanoi

This morning travel to the airport for your flight to Hanoi. Following your arrival transfer to the city, located on the bank of the Red River, which has been inhabited for over 1000 years. The city is known for its French colonial-style buildings, boulevards and parks, together with ancient structures from the city’s origins. Your tour today includes the Temple of Literature and passes by Hoan Kiem Lake before a walking tour of the Old Quarter, made up by the city’s original 36 streets, once the commercial centre of the city, and still a thriving community of sellers. Your base for a three night stay is the Hilton Hanoi Opera.

Day 11: Hanoi

You commence your tour this morning centring on Ho Chi Minh, known as ‘Uncle Ho’ by his followers. Visit his simple stilted home, a museum dedicated to his life, and the imposing mausoleum where his body lies in state. In the same area we also visit the One Pillar Pagoda, a Buddhist temple that originally dates back to the 10th century. Your last visit today is at the ancient Hanoi Citadel, recently listed by UNESCO. The afternoon has been left free to explore. Tonight enjoy a stunning water puppet performance. The stage is a pool of water in which the puppeteers must stand and manoeuvre the dancing puppets attached to bamboo poles.

Day 12: Halong Bay

Halong Bay is undoubtedly Vietnam’s most famous image; thousands of bizarrely-shaped limestone karsts, often jungle topped, are dotted throughout this vast bay. The best way to observe these is of course on the water and your comprehensive cruise presents many viewpoints, and a short visit to a cave will also be available. After your fascinating excursion you return to Hanoi.

Day 13: Hanoi - In flight

The majority of the day is free before your evening transfer to Hanoi Airport for a scheduled Vietnam Airlines flight to London, which may touch down in Frankfurt.

Day 14: London

Arrival at London Heathrow Airport where you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.

Hand Picked By

Every holiday includes scheduled flights, carefully chosen hotels and a number of meals and excursions; and has the services of a knowledgeable tour manager throughout. The VIP Home Departure Service means that you can close your front door and relax as everything is taken care of.

Just booked my 3rd Titan tour for 2024.

Titan is my preferred tour company as I feel looked after from booking a tour, travelling to and from the airport and whilst on tour. Tour managers are very experienced and knowledgeable and extremely helpful.

Singapore and Malaysia

Just returned from Singapore and Malaysia with Titan. We had a great group which made the holiday. Perhaps a larger group than expected but we made more friends. A special mention to our tour manager, Cynthia. She was brilliant. Our guides Carol and Larry were very knowledgeable and patient with us. We finished at a beautiful hotel in Penang where we stayed an extra 3 days after the tour had ended. We still had a driver to the airport and pickup from Heathrow. Both excellent. Thanks again to Cynthia.

In the foothills of the Himalayas

First time travelling with Titan. Exceptional service from the outset. Door to door service, varied and interesting itinerary and good value for money were great for starters. Colin, the local guides and the drivers took great care of the party throughout the trip. I would highly recommend this tour for the variety it offers.

Wild India Fantastic guide in Yaju. Extremely knowledgeable and very good humoured. The staff at the various lodges were courteous and helpful. The jeep safaris were very enjoyable and we saw lots of tigers and other wild life. The trip was great but not quite as the brochure promised - a bit more realism would be appropriate. A slight hiccup as my driver wasn't booked from the airport but it was quickly sorted out by Stuart on the emergency number. A very memorable experience.

Happy First Time Customer

Foothills of the Himalayas. This was my first trip with Titan, and it started very well with the door to door service taking the hassle out of airport parking. From then on in I couldn’t fault the trip, from the hotels, the reps and guides, the drivers and of course the fabulous country. The trips and tours were interesting, exciting and respectful of the locality and people. In addition, having some add ons to the trip being tailor made for me and my companion was very useful, and Colin and Bishan supported us with these. Thank you to all involved - I’ll be back!

Hi Sheila, Thank you for your amazing feedback. We will look forward to you seeing again, hopefully soon.

The grand tour of Australia (29 days)…

The grand tour of Australia (29 days) was so well organised by our tour host Mark Harris that what should have been an exhausting trip was an absolute delight! Nothing was too much trouble for him. The numerous flights, some of which were cancelled last minute by the airline were rescheduled and Mark was there to sort everything out. If a trip was cancelled due to circumstances another trip was organised to replace it. I would definitely go on another trip with Titon

Communiction - non existant

We are booked to go to USA for a trip down the Mississippi on a paddleboat next month. We learned by chance, last week, that the boat company have ceased operating. Titan have yet to contact us to tell us this rather important information. We have phoned them but promised return calls were not made. If this is how they cope in a crisis, it doesn't bode well

Sri Lankan tour

Everything on the tour of Sri Lanka was really good with our tour guide Shanaka organising everything really well and being very informative. As I was having difficulty walking he made allowances which meant that I could enjoy the trip. The hotels were lovely but were lacking in the main of facilities for people with mobility issues such as hand rails and wheel chair ramps Particularly noticeable in the showers was the lack of grab handles The coach ride was easy with the longest continuous time being about 3hours. All in all a great experience with an excellent itinerary.

Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos

I have just returned from a 21 day tour of Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. The trip was excellent, full of interest, but very full on and quite tiring. Our tour Manager, Ron Disney, was first class. He has to be the best Tour Manager I have ever travelled with, and really cared that his clients had the best holiday possible. However, unfortunately the same cannot be said for Titan Administration, which was not good. They messed up my flights and paperwork, and did not appear to be on top of things. I am not sure whether Titan got rid of too many staff during/post Covid, or whether their relationship with Saga has meant they are not concentrating on Client Service as they used to do, but they need to pull their socks up or they will lose clients.

Miami, Key West and Caribbean Islands

Our first holiday experience with Titan proved to be a good one. Things we really loved were the home pickup and return and the excellent service of our Tour Manager, Darren. Florida was full on and we were ready for the cruise although that too was busy with port stops, but it's that kind of holiday! Thought the dining on the Eurodam was a bit chaotic if you wanted to use their fine dining, but again if you figured things out you could get it to work to your advantage. The ship is looking a bit tired but the service is excellent. All in all a very good holiday and a lovely way to see the Caribbean. Thanks to Darren and Titan.

Great Rail Journey of India Feb 24.

Recently returned from Great Rail Journey of North India (Feb 6 - 21). Well organised and our guide, Rahi, was extremely on-the-ball and a great problem-solver. Only down-side was that Indian hotels are not well sound-proofed and it must have been wedding season. Highly commended. Simon Matthews.

Pack poo sample kit!

In case of food poinoning, remember to pack your poo sample kit and, if needed, post to Irena Jasinski at Titan! " We must stress that we do not deny that you or those passengers who held up their hands to Hennie’s question of who had been poorly while on the Rovos Rail, were ill. What we are unable to ascertain is the cause of the illness. We have been presented with no evidence whatsoever proving beyond any probability that the cause of any passengers’ illness was as a result of food consumed on the Rovos Rail. No food was set aside for us to send for sampling, nor have we been presented with the results of any stool samples or other medical evidence. It is for this reason that we cannot accept liability" (they paid up, eventually!)

Just returned from great rail journey…

Just returned from great rail journey 16 days of dreams coming true. Very well organised, first class hotels and great friends made. This was all made possible by our guild Rahi Raza what an incredible man. He has a tremendous range of historical knowledge making every day interesting Very organised and capable of overcoming whatever problems put to him. I lost my phone from toy train window Rahi was able to summon friends/colleagues and it was found and returned. Incredible. We were well looked after. Thanks Titan.

Natural Wonders of Costa Rica with the Panama Canal

This was an amazing itinerary combining the cities of San Jose and Panama with the colourful and varied wildlife of Costa Rica. One of the highlights was the partial cruise along the Panama Canal at the end of our holiday. We were very fortunate to have an outstanding, enthusiastic and professional Tour Manager Daniel and a knowledgeable, caring and excellent Local Guide Noelia who both ensured we had the best holiday ever. This was a small group of twelve like minded, friendly and lovely people who enhanced the holiday. I can highly recommend Titan - from home departure, the pre-holiday hotel in Heathrow, the holiday itself to the return journey home.

Cairo, Alexandria and Nile Cruise

First ever time on a tour with Saga/ Titan in Egypt. The experience has been amazing and the Tour Manager Ayman Ali and Egyptologist Mohamed Sayed, have been exceptional. The staff on the MS Nile Symphony cannot do enough for you and the creativity of the housekeeping staff has been superb. It is all the little extra touches that make you feel special. The tour and optional tours have been well tailored to give us an insight into the history of Egypt. Highly recommended and thank you for making our time in Egypt so special.

Excellent service

I called to book because we had a credit note to use after I made a complaint about a previous trip. I was impressed with the way our complaint was handled and overall, we had enjoyed our holiday. I booked this trip as a result of our customer service experience. The call taker, Adam, was really helpful and friendly. Looking forward to our next 2 holidays with Saga/Titan.

1st April 2024 Grand Tour of Japan

1st April 2024. Grand Tour of Japan. price £8595 including single supplement .I really thought that this would be a holiday of a life time. Most of the problems were because of the guides. Jean our British guide was very caring and did her best but had never been too Japan before so at first was relying on the Japanese guide for guidance. Seako was the worst guide that I have ever had in all my years of travel. Her command of English was very poor in fact I could only understand the odd word, I found it useless trying to use the headphones. Her knowledge of places of interest was really poor as was her ability to answer questions. We seemed to be rushed through places of interest and beauty to keep appointments with cookery classes. I had gone on this trip to see the blossom and to see places of interest, not to learn to cook. On the plus side we did have a group of lovely people and although it was a very full on trip {which I expected} we did experience a wide range of what Japan has to offer.

My first ever holiday with Titan in Japan

My first ever holiday with Titan was a most enjoyable twelve days in Japan. The itinerary covered all the main places to visit in the country. Our two guides,Mark and Toshi were very well organised, helpful and friendly. All the hotels were excellent.

All positive

All positive. Good tour guide, superb vessel, good food. If you want me to be very picky I’d like the background music to be turned down a fraction and the singer on the second night wasn’t very good. The traditional Croat singers were excellent and we would have liked an introduction to each song to know what it was about. A fine week and great value for money.

How I wish I did not have to leave a…

How I wish I did not have to leave a star for this company. After our disasterous trip to Japan we and our friends wrote to the CEO of the company and we know others have as well. We were promised a reply but nothing has happened which is about the norm from Titan. Nothing is done. Having read reviews from other customers about their experiences with the Japanese trip on different dates to ours the whole thing is an absolute disaster from start to finish being put on a Cathay Pacific flight away from our friends and not the promised brochure BA flight is unforgiveable , Bad tour guides helped ruin the holiday with poor quality head phones lack of information about the areas visited, getting us lost on numerous occasions no idea of opening closing time, too many things to list. As to offering us a free drink in the happy hour at Hiroshima for the mess up with the flights, we found it to be a complete insult. AI Nick, get your act together because if Titan carries on like this, it is a doomed company.

Hi Jan, As discussed, please be assured a full response following our in depth investigation has been sent to you to address your concerns. Kind regards, Thomas Titan Travel

Magic on the Nile.

We booked the holiday Magic of the Nile, with a few days in Cairo as an extension. It was truly a magical holiday from start to finish. Titan looked after everything on the holiday, it was planned to perfection. The flights, hotels and the boat were all excellent with good food, service and was very clean. Staff made sure that they went that extra mile to make the holiday special. Our tour manager Ayman Eltaqy helped to make the holiday special. He made sure that anything we needed was sorted and especially organised the trips so we went at optimum times. He was approachable and advised us on Egyptian culture. The trips and excursions were delivered at a pace all could cope with and enjoy. The places visited were excellent and included all the places you would expect and more for an experience you would never forget. We were accompanied with an Egyptologist; John Emad who was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything in an interesting way. I learned so much. It was a fantastic holiday I will never forget it. I would thoroughly recommend this holiday.

Golden Triangle with Ranthambore

With a bit of trepidation we booked our first escorted tour to India’s Golden Triangle with Ranthambore National Park through Titan Travel. Our fears were unfounded as Alex our Titan Tour representative had the whole tour running like clockwork and so well organised. Moving us to a different seat on the coach every day meant as a group we all got to meet and get to know each other quite quickly which was a great idea. We loved Alex’s morning jokes and dry wit. Anil our tour guide was exceptionally knowledgeable in Indian history and made every excursion informative. He also had a lovely sense of humour. The hotels were all fabulous with a good variation of buffet food to suit everyone. Will definitely be booking another tour with Titan Travel in the future.

Hi Jeanette, It's great to hear you have enjoyed your first escorted tour with Titan Travel. Thank you for your kind comments about Alex, we will share them with the India team. Kind regards, Nic Titan Travel

The Essence of Tuscany

The tour manager Heather was Excellent and looked after us from start to end, Hotel Minerva Palace was old but had great food, helpful staff, and we would stay again, NH hotel Siena, Not 4 star more 2 star, fittings very poor, breakfast just ok if you can find a seat,Would not stay again, Titan was very good,

Essence Of Japan Tour 1st April fiasco

Titan really need to get their act together. The Japan tour was the trip of a lifetime for my son and I and it started badly when most of us learned we would not be seated with our partners on the 13 hour outward flight. Obviously no thought about their customers but then I suppose Titan will blame BA. Then after nearly 2 hours in passport control when we arrived we then had to wait for our rooms to be available. Then we had to endure an inexperienced local guide for most of the tour who was difficult to understand and also got us lost a few times trying to find a shrine, temple or Samurai house. We spent nearly an hour walking in the park trying to find the Big Buddha temple in Nara. We then had an excellent guide for one day only around day 10 and then she was inexplicably changed for another guide. Overall the whole tour was spoiled by these issues to say the least but we all stuck together and bonded well despite all these grievances. Having now returned home and read about similar issues on other recent Titan tours to Japan then it is obvious Titan have sadly let down a lot of people. Still waiting for a response, apology and some recompense? Paul Smith

Hi Paul, We're really sorry to read about your experiences on your recent trip to Japan. This is clearly not the kind of feedback we aim to receive. 20 day tour from Toyko to Nagasaki via coach and train. Great tour seeing a great country aways on my bucket list! Learnt a lot about culture and the country 3 weeks is a long time and the only hing I would say is some cities need a bit more time but the trip covers a vast area so time was tight.

Date of experience : 28 March 2024

Hi Stephen, Thanks so much for taking the time to share your review. We're so pleased to hear that you had such a great time exploring Japan. Golden Triangle, India 🇮🇳

Our first time in India and it didn't disappoint. Our tour guide Alex Mathaei was wonderful, well organised and told a joke or two which always made us laugh. Anil, our local guide knew his history, very knowledgeable and always answered any question asked. It was a large group of us who all got on well. Lovely hotels where you could relax after a full on day. Early morning starts each day which you'd need to be prepared for, but well worth it. The Taj Mahal was awesome, bucket list ticked! The safari round Ranthambhore didn't disappoint, and we were very fortunate to see Tiger's, wow, so majestic. The only thing that let this holiday down was the seating arrangements on the plane,Titan didn't have us sitting next to our companion, but, thankfully on our return journey Alex managed to sort this out for us.

Hi Lyn, We are delighted we have been able to exceed your expectations on your first Titan tour. We hope you will be joining us again on many more adventures. Kind regards, Nic Titan Travel

Essence of Japan

Geoff our Titan tour manager really made the trip fun & enjoyable The Japanese guides were very knowledgeable but their English pronunciation made it difficult to understand. The down side of the trip wss once again the failure with British Airways, this time with loss of pre booked allocated seats.

Date of experience : 16 April 2024

Thank you Ian, for your feedback from which we are delighted to hear how well Geoff organised your Tour. It is a shame to read you did not receive your pre booked allocated seats. Our Customer Service Team have been made aware and will be in contact with you soon to resolve this matter. Kind regards, Nic Titan Travel

The booking staff were helpful…

The booking staff were helpful especially Ferhat and Adam. Ferhat is a proper salesman. He knows how to talk to customers. I ended booking for 2 holidays when initially I wanted to book only one with Titan and the 2nd one with another company. That shows he is good at his job. I previously had a bad experience with Titan in Paloma Italy in 2010 which wasn’t investigated by Titan. I avoided Titan for many years so this is a trial to see how this holiday will go.

Date of experience : 15 April 2024

Hi Emah, Thank you for taking the time to share your great feedback with us.. We are delighted to hear how well Ferhat and Adam looked after you. Thank you for returning to Titan, we cannot wait to send you away on your next tour. Kind regards, Nic Titan Travel

India golden triangle with Ranthambore

First time in India and first time on an escorted tour. We were delighted with all the effort free hotels, excursions, travel and experiences. India is a complete assault on the senses in every way imaginable. We had a fantastic group to travel with which made it so enjoyable. Alex Matthaei was the best tour manager: drole, unflappable, a joke a day (raj of the pun) , oiled the gears so everything ran smoothly. Tour guide Anil was so schooled in Indian history he brought the sites alive and would answer any question on India. It’s a full on schedule with early starts but absolutely worth it. Hotels and food all of a high standard. Icing on the cake : we saw tigers !! Let down at Heathrow as our return driver hadn’t been booked , knocked a star off. Still waiting for a response to complaint.

Thank you for your feedback from which we are delighted your first escorted tour was a great success. We hope you will be joining us again in the future for many more adventures. Kind regards, Nic Titan Travel

The tour was well organised and the transportation, hotels and itinerary ran extremely well. We are happy to have another holiday to look forward to.

Let the buyer be ware.

The Turkish holiday I wished to book - as advertised in their latest brochure was not available on the dates advertised, in addition the price had been increased by 25%. The shorter duration Turkish holiday, although priced as per brochure had been reduced by 1 day. In addition the online documentation is at odds with that received in the post.

Vietnam holidays & tours

Soaring peaks, paddy fields and street food.

Anyone planning on visiting Vietnam on holiday should prepare for an unforgettable variety of experiences, and that’s just the food. This Southeast Asian country features some of the friendliest and most humble people on the planet as well as a rich history that’s irreversibly tied to Europe and America .

Head to Hanoi, the capital, and you’ll discover Parisian influence in the tree-lined avenues and corner store bakeries. Seek out Ho Chi Minh City (previously known as Saigon) in the south and it’s Notre-Dame Cathedral and the country’s tallest building, Landmark 81, that provide the cultural contrasts.

Explore across the border as an escorted group or on an independent tour and the whole of Indochina awaits. Alternatively, base yourself by the beach in a luxury hotel and you can sip cocktails on the sand in the southeast resorts of Cam Ranh and Mui Ne or explore the ancient waterways of historic Hoi An on Vietnam’s central coast.

From overnight adventures on a traditional junk boat in Halong Bay to making the most of the riverside markets and cottage industries along the Mekong Delta – if you think variety’s the spice of life, Vietnam holidays have everything you need to put that proverb into practice.

Hanoi flows along the west bank of the Red River to leave travellers captivated and more than a little confused by the organised chaos of the Old Quarter. Vietnam’s capital city has been created over eons with Chinese and French influence offering all manner of historical insight. Highlights will always include the Temple of Literature, Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and the turtles in Hoan Kiem Lake although attempting to cross the road while hundreds of scooters whizz by is an experience in itself.

Head to Ha Long Bay – three hours east of Hanoi – and you’ll find an immediate antidote to the hustle and bustle of the capital. This is somewhere that’s become an Vietnamese icon with myriad limestone karst rocks jutting out of the peaceful waters like knobbly giant’s knuckles. Staying overnight on an old-fashioned junk boat is definitely the best way to dodge the crowds. And nothing beats a night under the stars followed by breakfast onboard and a paddle in a kayak to start the day.

As you can fly or take a train to Da Nang on the central coast it’s a convenient point of entrance for anyone wishing to visit the historic towns of Hue and Hoi An. Hue was once the imperial capital of Vietnam and still retains an air of fortified authority within its Forbidden Purple citadel. Hoi An, on the other hand, is far more humble and best known for its ancient town that’s criss-crossed with waterways and aligned with traditional shophouses, ornate pagodas and Japanese covered bridges.

Stretching out across southern Vietnam, the Mekong Delta has long been one of the best ways to cross the border into neighbouring Cambodia. This has been the lifeblood of Ho Chi Minh City (formerly known as Saigon) since time began with rural riverside villages using the canals and waterways to transport the produce from the rice paddies and fruit orchards. Day trippers can travel on the Mekong Delta by converted rice barge and visit the floating markets and riverside workshops.
