Nokia Touch UI

Nokia Maps for pedestrians

The Nokia C2-02 doesn’t have a GPS receiver but Nokia Maps can use Cell-ID to get your approximate location. The app doesn’t feature voice-guided navigation anyway and can only plan pedestrian routes. Routes are also limited in length to 10 miles.

So, even if you hook up a Bluetooth GPS receiver to the Nokia C2-02 it sill won't function as a car SatNav. There's no option for a paid upgrade either.

Maps are downloaded through your data connection, which is something else to keep in mind.

It's a nice bonus for such a low-level device, but it including it probably had more to do with not using Google's solution than providing a good mapping solution.

A few games on board

The Nokia C2-02 came with six games pre-installed. They are Golf Tour, Memorize, Music Guess, Nature Park, Picture Puzzle and Solitaire.

The Picture Puzzle needs no further explanations.

Final words

The Nokia C2-02 is a pretty good handset at what it does – making calls, sending texts, looking good and keeping it simple. That’s just about what people who would never spend more than €100 on a phone need anyway, so it’s a purchase they are unlikely to regret.

We are not even talking bang-for-buck here, this is perhaps a thing to look for in some of Nokia's entry-level smartphones. The C2-02 bets on ultimate simplicity, good battery life and rock-bottom pricing. This will probably be enough to make it a hit in emerging markets and with those who like their phones to be just phones.

Some people may look at the Nokia C2-02 and see an alternative of the Corbies, Stars and Cookies out there. We beg to differ. For one, Nokia simply doesn't have the track record in touchscreen feature phones to match Samsung or LG. Secondly - and more importantly - the keypad puts the C2-02 in a different category.

We do think that if anyone would be interested in the C2-02, they will be in it for the proper keypad first and then the touchscreen. Potential users will certainly be curious about the different experience but they will need something traditional and familiar to hold on to. In that sense, the Nokia C2-02 is perfectly positioned as an upgrade option and the pricing seems right too.

The C2-02 is an entry level model compared to the Nokia X3-02, for example. Never mind the form factor, the X3-02 is the obviously more advanced option with better design and finish, Wi-Fi connectivity and a superior keypad.

Comparisons with the Nokia C2-01 are inevitable too. It may look even more basic than the C2-02 with its 2-inch display, but it offers 3G data speeds and a 3 megapixel camera. This may be enough of a reason to at least think about skipping touchscreen altogether.

Lastly, some might choose to wait a while longer for the dual-SIM versions of the C2-02 to be released. The C2-03 and C2-06 are basically the same phone, but with a hot-swappable extra SIM slot, which combined with the right secondary subscription might save you the price premium in monthly bills in no time.

To sum up, the Nokia C2-02 is a decent addition to the company's portfolio in the lower end of the market. It may as well be more than that - a way to make the transition easier from basic call-and-text phones to touch phones.

2024 U.S. Open leaderboard breakdown: Ludvig Åberg continues major breakout standing alone at Pinehurst

Åberg tops a star-studded u.s. open leaderboard seeking achieve something not seen in a century.

The U.S. Open is not supposed to be this easy. No one tell that to Ludvig Åberg. Following a 4-under 66 with a 69 on Friday, the young Swede -- playing the first major-championship season of his career -- will take a one-stroke lead at 5 under into Moving Day. Åberg sits ahead of Bryson DeChambeau, Patrick Cantlay and Thomas Detry entering the weekend in North Carolina.

Åberg will attempt to become the second debutant to win the U.S. Open, the first since Francis Ouimet, an amateur, did so at The Country Club in 1913. Not only does Åberg's march around Pinehurst mark his first in the U.S. Open, it represents just his third career major appearance, even if it looks closer to his 30th.

"I think, obviously this being my first one, I think a U.S. Open is supposed to be hard," Åberg said. "It's supposed to be tricky, and it's supposed to challenge any aspect of your game. And I feel like it's really doing that. But super fortunate with the way that things have turned out over the last couple days, and hopefully, we'll be able to keep it up."

At the halfway point, the 24-year-old leads the field in both driving accuracy (26 of 28 fairways) and greens in regulation (30 of 36) putting his prodigious ball striking on display for all to see. It took until nearly 4 p.m. ET on Friday (!) for Åberg to miss a fairway in this championship as he connected on his first 20.

Fairways and greens is a healthy diet for any major championship, let alone a U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2. Through two rounds, Åberg clearly has had the appetite. While it takes some years and numerous major appearances to figure out what they can pile on their plate, the robotic right hander seems to have consumed the knowledge just 10 rounds into his major career.

He knows what he can chew off and what he cannot stomach. He knows his restrictions (if there are any). And he knows he can digest this weekend thanks to a contention run at the Masters two months ago that resulted in a runner-up finish to Scottie Scheffler.

"I think Augusta [National] proved to me that I was able to be in that position, and it was more of a justification of like, 'Yeah, you can actually be there and contend on a Sunday,'" Åberg said. "Then, obviously, the golf course also played very difficult. It demanded a lot of patience and discipline just like this one does. Yeah, I feel like those experiences that I had back in April, they were great. Hopefully, we'll draw some similarities between those. All we try to do is just hit the shots as good as we can and then see where that ends up."

2024 U.S. Open leaderboard, Round 2

1. Ludvig Åberg (-5): There are too many great things to say about this kid. He pushed the lead out to 6 under a couple times before a late bogey on the 16th gave one back. The most telling part of Åberg's round came on the par-4 4th when he chunked his approach into the green. Instead of looking confused or frustrated, he laughed it off with his caddie, Joe Skovron, pitched his third to 11 feet and then knocked in the par save.  T2. Bryson DeChambeau, Patrick Cantlay, Thomas Detry (-4): DeChambeau didn't have the big stick cooperating Friday, but he did well to get around Pinehurst in an under-par fashion regardless. Hitting only seven fairways and 10 greens in regulation, the 2020 champion relied on the occasional tidy approach shot and more than enough putting as he rolled in four putts from outside 15 feet. It totaled up to five birdies, four bogeys, nine pars and another chance at winning his second major.

"Felt like I was actually hitting the driver pretty solid today," DeChambeau said. "Starting lines just weren't exactly where I saw them coming out of the chute, and consequently, ended up in the native area a few too many times, which cost me probably three or four shots. Something I'm looking forward to fixing over the weekend. But all in all, [I] was very happy with how I stayed patient, gave myself good opportunities when they mattered, and I made a lot of clutch putts coming in."

T5. Rory McIlroy, Tony Finau, Matthieu Pavon (-3): It wasn't as sharp as Thursday, but McIlroy's 72 on Friday  was enough to position him nicely heading into the weekend. He continues to drive the ball like a stallion hitting 13 of 14 fairways in Round 2 and missing just four through his first two rounds. His approach play took a bit of a step back compared to Round 1, and his putting numbers weren't great on paper -- although that has something to do with putting his ball off the green on No. 17 (where he saved par).

"Obviously not quite as well as yesterday, but I feel like the golf course plays a little more difficult, even though we were off in the morning," McIlroy said. "Some of the hole locations were definitely a little tougher. Sort of had to have your wits about you. I putted it off one green there on 17. Overall, I felt like I did a pretty good job at keeping some of the mistakes off the scorecard. I wish I had converted a couple more of the chances. Hit the ball pretty well. I think only missed one fairway. So, I had plenty of opportunities. Yeah, wasn't quite as good with the putter today. Still overall in a great position going into the weekend."

8. Hideki Matsuyama (-2): Matsuyama carded the 10th bogey-free round in a U.S. Open at Pinehurst thanks to a sensational short game and some timely approach shots. The man from Japan found himself 1 under through 11 holes despite only hitting four greens in regulation across that span. He discovered his iron play late and rattled off three straight birdies to climb back into this tournament and card the low round of the day with a 66.

T9. Xander Schauffele, Tyrrell Hatton, Tom Kim, Akshay Bhatia, Tim Widing, Corey Conners and Zac Blair (-1): Schauffele's name being in red figures feels like a minor miracle. He was horrible across his first 20 holes, hitting just seven fairways and drifting as high as 2 over for the championship. Only then did he find his form as Schauffele rattled off five birdies across a nine-hole stretch in his second round to get him back into this championship. A double bogey on the par-5 5th put a hamper on an otherwise stellar performance on Friday.

T16. Sam Burns, Billy Horschel, Stephan Jaeger, Sergio Garcia, Russell Henley and Isaiah Salinda (E):  Burns was 5 over through his first six holes of this championship and has clawed his way back admirably to give himself a chance with 36 to play. On Friday, Burns hit 13 of 14 fairways and gained nearly five strokes putting on the field. If he is to continue this march up the leaderboard, he will need the approach play to start cooperating.

T22. Taylor Pendrith, S.H. Kim, Sam Bennett and three others (+1)

T29. Sepp Straka, Brian Harman, Adam Scott, Denny McCarthy and four others (+2)

T37. Jordan Spieth, Cameron Smith and 11 others (+3): Spieth's 71 may have been the highest total he could have carded. Hitting his irons perhaps as well as ever this season, the three-time major champion connected on just three birdies against four bogeys. He ranks inside the top 10 in strokes gained tee to green, strokes gained off the tee and strokes gained approach, but he sits outside the top 150 with the putter in hand.

T51. Wyndham Clark, Collin Morikawa, Keegan Bradley and three others (+4): Five birdies from the reigning champion were offset by four bogeys and a double. Clark's having a hard time playing from the short grass hitting just 16 fairways across his first two rounds.

T57. Scottie Scheffler, Brooks Koepka, Tommy Fleetwood, Sahith Theegala and 14 others (+5): The world No. 1 walked off the golf course and thought his week was over. Pinehurst said not so fast as the cutline drifted to 5 over late extending Scheffler's made cut streak -- the last of which came in August 2022. Scheffler is joined by another multiple-time major winner in Koepka who struggled late in his round playing his final eight holes in 5-over fashion.

Francesco Molinari makes an ace on the par-3 9th (his final hole of the day) to get to 5 over and inside the projected cutline.

Tiger Woods misses the cut at the 124th U.S. Open

The 15-time major champion will not be around for the weekend. Falling a couple strokes outside the cutline, Tiger Woods was unable to cash in on crucial birdie bids on his second nine at Pinehurst No. 2 to scratch and claw his way onto the tee sheet this weekend. Woods' missed cut represents just the 25th of his career, his 14th in a major and his fifth in the U.S. Open.

Tiger needs to grab one coming in

The cat is 6 over and one outside the cutline with a few holes remaining. He will first need to get up-and-down from just long of the green on No. 16. Then, he will do will to make par on the tough par-3 17th and then he will need to make birdie on the par-4 18th.

Ludvig leads by two

Another birdie from the young Swede has pushed to lead out to two. He stands at 6 under with six holes to play with a number of players a couple behind including his playing mate, Tony Finau, who just made a birdie of his own on the par-4 12th.

Notables near the cutline

Looks like the cutline is going to be +5 meaning Scottie Scheffler will be around for the weekend, but here are some on the golf course near that number fighting for that same right.

Tiger tight roping the cut line

The cat is looking solid, but he has no room for error with 11 holes to play. Tiger stands at 5 over for the championship where the cutline is looking like where it may settle (Data Golf gives it a 70% chance). He's looking fantastic with the putter and will need to be if he is to see the weekend.

Morikawa moving in the wrong direction

I'm pretty surprised about this one. After shooting 70 on Thursday with two doubles, Collin Morikawa has been unable to get anything going. He just did well to save bogey on the par-4 1st (his 10th hole) and drops to 3 over for the round and championship. 

Cantlay drops a pair

Well, the overnight leader played a little ping pong on No. 8 and he actually does well to make 6. Holing a 15 footer for his double, Patrick Cantlay drops to 4 under meaning Ludvig Aberg has a two-stroke lead. Aberg just missed his first fairway of the week. Poor kid.

Grayson Murray, two-time PGA Tour winner, dies at 30

Two-time PGA Tour winner Grayson Murray died Saturday morning at age 30, one day after he withdrew from the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial.

There were no immediate details on the circumstances of his death, only shock and grief from the PGA Tour and his management team.

"I am at a loss for words," PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan said in a statement. "The PGA Tour is a family, and when you lose a member of your family, you are never the same. We mourn Grayson and pray for comfort for his loved ones."

Murray's management company, GSE Worldwide, confirmed the death.

"We will hold off on commenting until we learn further details, but our heart aches for his family, his friends and all who loved him during this very difficult time," GSE said in a statement.

Jay Green, Murray's caddie, lamented the loss of his friend in a statement to the Golf Channel.

"Grayson was the absolute best. Not only was he an incredible, thoughtful and generous boss, he was an even better friend," Green wrote.

"He truly would do anything for anyone. He has the best family, and my heart goes out to them. We will all miss him deeply."

Monahan said he first learned of Murray's death late Saturday morning and that he spoke with Murray's parents to offer condolences. They asked that the tournament in Fort Worth, Texas, continue. The tour cited illness when Murray withdrew from Friday's second round.

Monahan said grief counselors were on-site at the PGA Tour and Korn Ferry Tour event. He also flew to Texas on Saturday.

"To be in the locker room, to see the devastation on the faces of every player that's coming in, it's really difficult to see. And really just profound," Monahan said on the CBS broadcast.

"Grayson was a remarkable player on the PGA Tour, but he was a very courageous man, as well. And I've always loved that about him, and I know that the locker room is filled with people that really will take that away when they think about Grayson."

Several players shared stories of Murray on CBS' coverage.

"It was a huge shock. My heart sank," said Webb Simpson , who learned of Murray's death shortly before teeing off Saturday. He said Murray was the first winner of his junior tournament and that they shared the same swing coach as juniors.

"I just hate it so much," Simpson said. "I'm miss him. I'm thankful he was in the place with his faith before this morning happened."

Peter Malnati played with Murray at Colonial. He offered to go on the CBS telecast and immediately broke down trying to talk about him.

"It's a huge loss for all of us on the PGA Tour," Malnati said. "As much as we want to beat each other, we're one big family, and we lost one today. It's terrible."

Other players, including Justin Thomas , Luke Donald and Bubba Watson , took to social media to express their condolences.

Murray, who spoke about alcohol and mental health in the past, made a massive turnaround this year and won the Sony Open , hitting wedge to 3 feet for birdie on the final hole to get into a playoff and winning it with a 40-foot putt.

He also won the Barbasol Championship in 2017.

Murray, who was No. 58 in the world ranking, was coming off a tie for 43rd in the PGA Championship last week at Valhalla. He also made the cut in his Masters debut, finishing 51st, and was in the field for next month's U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2.

Murray, who grew up in North Carolina, was among the most talented juniors in the country. He won the prestigious Junior World Championship in San Diego three straight years and earned the Arnold Palmer Scholarship at Wake Forest.

He wound up going to three colleges, lastly at Arizona State, and won as a 22-year-old PGA Tour rookie at the 2017 Barbasol.

Murray said when he won the Sony Open in January that he had been sober for eight months, was engaged to be married and felt his best golf was ahead of him. He was appointed to the PGA Tour's 16-member Player Advisory Council the same month.

"My story is not finished. I think it's just beginning," Murray said in Hawaii. "I hope I can inspire a lot of people going forward that have their own issues."

Murray said he used to drink during tournament weeks as a rookie because he knew he had talent and felt he was invincible. He also brought attention to himself through social media, openly criticizing other players and getting into one social media spat with Kevin Na over Na's reputation as a slow player.

But Murray said he felt like he turned the corner when he sought help -- letting others fight for him, is how he explained it this year.

"It took me a long time to get to this point," Murray said in January. "That was seven years ago, over seven years ago. I'm a different man now. I would not be in this position right now today if I didn't put that drink down eight months ago."

Monahan called Murray an inspiration.

"Listen, these are some of the best athletes in the world," the commissioner said. "They think they're -- you know, and they are, in many respects, invincible. I think one of the things that I think back about Grayson's openness is -- and I speak about courage, he taught us all a lesson on that front, and that's something I'll never forget."

Every player on the LPGA has a story, but few had one like Haley Moore. The hero of the 2018 NCAA Championship, Moore overcame childhood bullying to reach the biggest stage in golf. Friends and strangers alike came together on GoFundMe to help an inspirational Moore chase her dream.

Now, after several seasons of grinding on both the LPGA and Epson Tour, 25-year-old Moore’s path has taken a detour.

“These last couple years, I didn’t have my best stuff,” said Moore from her new digs in Tucson, Arizona.

Last week, Moore began working full-time as an assistant pro at Canoa Ranch Golf Club in Green Valley, Arizona. She plans to become a PGA member and work her way into teaching. She’s especially excited about working some upcoming junior camps.

Moore hasn’t completely shut the door on getting back to the LPGA, but she’s excited about sprinkling in some Cactus Tour events and state opens in the coming years. Maybe there’s a start in the KPMG Women’s PGA in her future through the teaching division.

Moving back to Tucson was an easy decision for Moore after her playing days at the University of Arizona. The nearly 6-foot-2-inch Moore graduated from college at the age of 20 and advanced through LPGA Q-School in December 2019, beginning her professional career in the midst of a global pandemic.

She made five cuts in 12 starts in 2020 and had a second rookie season in 2021, which didn’t go much better. Moore finished 142nd on the LPGA money list that season and began toiling on the Epson Tour the following year.

“Even though she always said ‘No, I’m fine, I’m fine,’ ” said Moore’s mother, Michele, “ there was just something in her head, and we were just never able to figure that out.”

Over the next two seasons, Moore made only 10 cuts on the Epson Tour, with her 2023 season coming to an abrupt end with a back injury. She made only $18,735 in official money on the Epson Tour, and the financial stress took its toll.

In 2024, Moore played the Casino Del Sol Golf Classic in Tucson on a sponsor exemption for her only start on the Epson Tour this season, missing the cut.

“The last couple years, I felt like I was doing well in the practice rounds – hitting the ball great – and then when the tournament days came, it’s not like I froze up, but I think it’s an actual competition, you’re worried. You have to perform and make the cut to make money – losing $2,000, $2,500 every week because of expenses.”

Figuring out to block out the stress of money in the heat of competition was something Moore never quite conquered. Eventually she thought, I can’t keep going on like this.  

And so, it’s with a mixture of sadness and excitement that Moore enters a new chapter. Already, quite a number of people who have come into the pro shop at Canoa Ranch have recognized Moore from her time as a Wildcat and on the LPGA.

“She’s a freaking legend in Tucson,” said Michele. “We’re on campus for five minutes and she’s recognized. People literally kiss her feet.”

When Moore was a rookie on the LPGA, the tour created a 30-second video spot on her as part of its Drive On marketing campaign, along with first-person accounts written by Moore and her mother.

“Being bigger, stronger and better than boys on the soccer field didn’t make me popular when I was a kid,” Haley wrote. “Continuing to grow didn’t put me in the popular girls’ club, either. Throughout my school years, I heard every taunt and laugh; I endured every insult and rejection. I tried to brush it off.”

As a pro, Moore created a foundation to help end bullying. Once she gets settled into her new role at Canoa Ranch, she’d like to continue those efforts.

No doubt she’ll continue to inspire.

Shaken by Grayson Murray’s death, golfers open up on tour challenges

Players share the frustrations, challenges and loneliness that accompany the pro game.

PINEHURST, N.C. — There might be a swing coach on a driving range or a caddie helping to read the greens — not to mention a few hundred fans lining the fairways excitedly bearing witness, smartphones aloft and recording all the action. But when it comes time to address the ball, the tee box at a pro event can feel like the loneliest place on the golf course. The whole sport, in fact, can be isolating, a maddening solitary activity where the rewards are too often fleeting and the failures overwhelming.

“The unfortunate thing for what we do is, it is so lonely and it’s very difficult,” said Wyndham Clark, here this week as the defending U.S. Open champion. “Too often I think players, including myself, get tied up so much in score and outcome, and the game of golf is so frustrating and so hard. There are those really lonely times when you miss the cut, you throw your clubs in the car, you drive off, and you’re very pissed off.”

More than ever, players are talking openly about the frustrations, challenges and loneliness that are staples of professional golf. The past few weeks have highlighted some of the mental health challenges faced by professional golfers.

With the U.S. Open set to begin Thursday at Pinehurst No. 2, the world’s best players are still reeling from the sudden loss of one of their own. Last month, Grayson Murray, a 30-year-old PGA Tour member, died by suicide hours after withdrawing from the Charles Schwab Challenge in Fort Worth. Murray had been open about his struggles with depression, anxiety and alcohol over the years.

“We’re not designed to live this life on our own,” Scottie Scheffler, the world’s top-ranked golfer, said in a eulogy. “We all carry a lot more baggage than we let on — myself especially.”

Three days later, Lexi Thompson, a 29-year-old LPGA star, surprised the golf world when she announced plans to retire at the end of the season , citing in part the mental health “battles” and the pressures faced by life on tour.

“A lot of people don’t know what we go through,” she said. “The amount of training and hard work that we put ourselves through, it’s a lot.”

Golf long has been considered a mental test as much as a physical grind, and while those around the sport admit they don’t have all the answers, many are ready to ask the questions.

“It’s great that people are talking about this,” said Julie Elion, a licensed sports psychologist who works with Clark. “I mean, there are some bad stories that brought us to this point. But it’s good that people are willing to have some tough conversations.”

Elion is there for all of the in-between moments: meeting with Clark after a round, perhaps, or before a practice session. On Tuesday, during his practice round at storied Pinehurst No. 2, Clark sidled up to Elion as he made his way from the 11th green to the 12th tee box, and the two had a lighthearted chat as he idly swung his putter. Her goal is to be a calming force for her players, a visual reminder of the mental goals they’ve set.

“I’ve been in many low spots where you have some negative thoughts which you don’t ever want to have,” Clark said. “Golf can do that to you. You got to do your best to not let it do that.”

Elion also works with Justin Thomas and Max Homa, among others, and is well-acquainted with the demands of life on tour: the travel, the performance struggles, the myriad demands. Clark notes that the highlights fans see — the booming drives, winding putts and joyful trophy presentation — represent just a tiny fraction of a golf tournament.

“In reality, I’d say, 80 percent of the field storms off pretty pissed off after a lot of the rounds,” he said.

Murray’s suicide is not as much a wake-up call for the golfers on tour as it is a reminder. Smylie Kaufman, a former tour pro, said that for players, the season can be a blur of flights and hotels, leader boards and missed cuts. Players are removed from their families all the while, juggling internal and external pressure.

“It’s very easy for every single shot that you hit to attach emotions to it,” Kaufman said.

Gary Williams, the golf analyst, has seen from up close how players struggle to adapt to life on tour. A recovering alcoholic, Williams was familiar with Murray’s struggles and also his recovery.

In a recent interview, Williams noted that all the time a pro golfer spends alone can be particularly dangerous for someone in the throes of addiction.

“That is what the disease wants: It wants you isolated,” he said. “It wants you alone in your thoughts, and those thoughts can then get sideways very, very quickly.”

Elion urges some of her players to travel with roommates on the road, a caddie or maybe a friend. She fears what happens when the hotel room door closes and a player has idle time to replay bad shots, dwell on failures or scroll through social media toxicity. In announcing her retirement, Thompson noted that “social media never sleeps.”

Depression and anxiety also can lead to substance abuse, a cycle that is hardly new on tour and certainly an issue across other sports and industries. At the peak of his playing career in 2000, Notah Begay III was arrested and charged with aggravated DUI — a second DUI offense — and spent seven days in jail.

“It’s hard,” said Begay, now an NBC analyst. “We were raised in an era where if you admit your weaknesses or you admit that you’re having deep, dark thoughts, which a lot of us often have surrounding performances, personal issues and whatnot, it’s viewed as a weakness.”

Compared with some other sports, golf has been fairly progressive in addressing mental health. Renowned sports psychologist Bob Rotella started working with PGA Tour golfers 40 years ago, and many of the top players count a mental or performance coach as part of their teams. But the job has evolved. Many of today’s mental coaches on tour are just as focused on mental health and well-being as they are performance, and Elion said the two are intimately connected. Troubles at home can affect a golfer’s performance, just as frustration from a bad round can linger long after a player walks off the 18th green.

Tour officials say they’re trying to line up resources to help players in all areas, though some on tour note that while there usually are physical therapists or masseuses on-site at a tournament, players have to work harder to access mental health resources.

Speaking with reporters one day after Murray’s death, Jay Monahan, the PGA Tour commissioner, said he reached out to Murray after a since-deleted 2021 Twitter post in which Murray said the tour did nothing to help him with his addiction.

“Over the last several years, I spent a lot of time with him because I wanted to understand what we could do in his estimation, in his opinion, to help everybody else out here,” Monahan said. “We’ve made a number of advancements along those lines, and it’s become a real point of focus and emphasis.”

The tour employs a medical adviser and maintains a mental health task force. It has a mental health support line available for players and their families and also helps connect players with mental health care providers or counseling services.

Murray’s death sparked a dialogue that started last month and continues this week at the U.S. Open.

“I think it’s important that we don’t sweep this under the rug as an organization, as a game, as athletes,” Begay said, “because we’re human beings as well.”
