At the age of 21, he had written and produced songs on over 20 gold and platinum albums including Michael Jackson, Marc Anthony, Pink, Christina Aguilera, Usher, Jennifer Hudson and others. The album garnered four GRAMMY nominations. His 2013 sixth album, Blurred Lines crashed the Billboard Top 200 at #1 and produced the RIAA Diamond-certified title track, “Blurred Lines” [feat. T.I. & Pharrell]. The song made history, clutching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 12 weeks. The hit single garnered Thicke as the first artist to simultaneously occupy the #1 spot on the Hot 100 and Top 200 since 2012, putting him in an elite group of 17 other acts to accomplish this feat in the previous decade. “Blurred Lines” scored the highest audience ever recorded and broke records by climbing to #1 on 5 radio charts simultaneously (Top 40, Rhythm, Urban, Hot AC & Urban AC) –the first time this has ever been done by an artist.

The Drinks Business

A dozen luxury rosés for fine wine drinkers.

Fine pink wines are a newly-expanded area of the drinks world, and an exciting and indulgent one too. Following our Global Rosé Masters tasting competition, we pick out 12 of the best examples money can buy – taking in bottles from South Africa and Spain, Portugal and Italy, as well as, of course, Provence – although our ultimate rosé comes from the Languedoc.

All the following wines featured in the 2024 Global Rosé Masters, and comprise a selection of the best samples over £20 – but if you want to see our best bottles under £20, please click here, while to see the results in full, you can scroll through all the medal-winners by clicking here .

As for the bottles below, these are not just delicious rosés, but great drinks, proving that being pretty and pale doesn’t preclude wine from being fine.

Just don’t add ice.

CHÂTEAU MINUTY 281, 2023

champagne and roses tour 2023 setlist

  • Producer: Château Minuty
  • Region: Provence
  • Country: France
  • Grape varieties: 90% Grenache, 5% Rolle, 5% Syrah
  • Residual sugar: 0.51g/l
  • Approx. retail price: £55

One of the highest-scoring wines of this year’s competition, this top-end expression from Château Minuty – called 281 after the Pantone number for the blue on the bottle – uses a prized plot of old-vine Grenache, complemented by a touch of Rolle and Syrah. The combination yields a wine with depth, featuring lovely peachy notes, along with white cherry and wild strawberry, complemented by some zesty grapefruit and delicate, white pepper-like spice. A bone-dry, persistent and intense rosé with plenty of flavour, but delicacy and elegance too. (Patrick Schmitt MW)

YSIOS ROSÉ, 2023

champagne and roses tour 2023 setlist

  • Producer: Bodegas Ysios
  • Region: Rioja
  • Country: Spain
  • Grape variety: 100% Garnacha
  • Residual sugar: 1.6g/l
  • Approx. retail price: £40

A fantastic find from Spain, this pure Garnacha rosado from Rioja’s Bodegas Ysios comes in a beautiful bottle that’s completely clear to show off the pale pink liquid – a much lighter shade than one would expect from Iberia. Taste-wise, it’s rich in flavours from white cherry to sweet red berries, with a touch of pomegranate too, while the finish features lingering characters of pink grapefruit, peach, then redcurrant and lemon zest. Intense and fruity, but bone-dry and deliciously refreshing. (Patrick Schmitt MW)

LE CIRQUE DES GRIVES, CHÂTEAU LA GORDONNE BIO, 2022

champagne and roses tour 2023 setlist

  • Producer: Château La Gordonne
  • Grape varieties: 60% Cinsault, 40% Grenache
  • Residual sugar: <2g/l
  • Approx. retail price: £50

A magnificent rosé using very old-vine Cinsault and Grenache from the great organic Provençal estate that is Château La Gordonne. Layers of flavour feature, from ripe melon to white-fleshed peach, lemon zest to orange blossom, along with a touch of white pepper and redcurrant. While zesty and slightly chalky in texture, this refreshing rosé has plenty of fruit to make the mid-palate full and soft, without any sweetness. Delicious. (Patrick Schmitt MW)

WOMEN OF THE WORLD, PINOTAGE ROSE, 2023

champagne and roses tour 2023 setlist

  • Producer:  Aaldering Vineyards & Wines
  • Region: Stellenbosch
  • Country: South Africa
  • Grape varieties: 100% Pinotage
  • Residual sugar: 1.2g/l
  • Approx. retail price: £43

A magnum-only limited-edition rosé from the Western Cape, this wine proves the quality potential of the Pinotage grape as a source of serious, salmon-pink refreshment. Stylistically, it’s an intense and fruity rosé – more so than one would find in Provence – but manages to combine such power with a lovely mouth-watering, bone-dry finish, to ensure it’s both fruity and bright. Flavour-wise, it mixes notes of strawberry jam and sweet cherry with some white-fleshed peach and double cream, followed by a touch of ruby grapefruit, and lemon-zest too. A versatile rosé that would match grilled meats, as well as white fish. (Patrick Schmitt MW)

ROSA 32 LEVANT, 2022

champagne and roses tour 2023 setlist

  • Producer: Rosa 32
  • Region: Côte-de-Provence
  • Grape varieties: 35% Syrah, 25% Grenache, 15% Cinsault, 25% Rolle (Vermentino)
  • Residual sugar: 2g/l
  • Approx. retail price: £35.00

Located in Provence, Rosa 32 produces wines in accordance with organic processes and the terroir factors, the most important here being the ‘levant’ winds. This example is based on 4 of the 18 varieties grown: Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault and Rolle. Pale peach in hue, the light-bodied wine shows lively acidity framing red cherry, pomegranate and cranberry fruit. Mineral and chalky notes add interest to the beautifully defined palate. The wine will form a perfect complement to sushi, the hint of astringency adding grip to counterbalance the richness of the fish. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)

ROSA CÉLESTE BY QUINTA DA GAIVOSA, 2021

champagne and roses tour 2023 setlist

  • Producer: Alves de Sousa
  • Region: Douro
  • Country: Portugal
  • Grape varieties: 80% Tinta Cão, 20% Touriga Nacional
  • Approx. retail price: £25

This wine’s name, Rosa Céleste, comes from an ancient shrub rose plant with grey-green leaves and sweet-scented, pale pink flowers. The wine is appropriately named. Delicate, with a very pale rose-gold hue, it exhibits white and red cherries, accented by hints of vanilla pod. Dry, the palate has racy acidity and a hint of tannin giving a little grip to support the deep, concentrated and elegant flavours. This is an exceptional wine that indicates what careful vinification and well-judged oak can do for top-class rosé wines. A revelation, the wine will work well with mushroom-asparagusgreen pea risotto or Beijing Chinese dim-sum. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)

BY CAVES D’ESCLANS, ROCK ANGEL, 2022

  • Producer: Cave d’Esclans
  • Region:  Côtes de Provence
  • Grape varieties: 48% Grenache, 24% Rolle, 13% Cinsault, 6% Tibouren, 3% Syrah, 3% Carignan, 3% Mourvèdre
  • Residual Sugar: 0.3g/l
  • Approx. retail price: £26.50

Sacha Lichine, from a long-standing internationally-renowned wine family, produces fantastic wines. This wine is no exception. Pale peach-pink in colour, the wine has strawberry, raspberry and cranberry fruit with gently used creamy oak and a crushed yellow rose petal accent. Just dry, the mid-weight palate is beautifully balanced between fruit, oak and lively acidity. Textured and layered, this wine is exemplary. A really good choice for Provençal bouillabaisse. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)

MARCHESI FRESCOBALDI, AUREA GRAN ROSÉ 2022

champagne and roses tour 2023 setlist

  • Producer: Marchesi Frescobaldi
  • Region: Tuscany
  • Country: Italy
  • Grape varieties: 70% Syrah, 30% Vermentino
  • Residual sugar: 2.3g/l
  • Approx. retail price: £30

With a well-established history dating back to at least 1300, the Tuscan house of Frescobaldi has little to prove. This pristine gem is a tribute to the many artisans who have fashioned the Frescobaldi wines for centuries. Very pale peach in colour, the wine shows wild strawberry and vibrant red cherry fruit, accented by gentle, creamy oak. The mid-weight palate is well-defined, with fresh acidity and a hint of grainy texture adding interest. Concentrated and lingering on the finish, the wine will be an excellent match for chicken salad with red capsicum and celery in choux pastry. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)

CHIVITE COLECCIÓN 125 ROSADO, IGP RIBERAS, 2022

champagne and roses tour 2023 setlist

  • Producer: Bodegas Chivite
  • Region: Navarra
  • Grape varieties: 57% Garnacha, 24% Tempranillo, 19% Syrah
  • Residual sugar: 0.4g/l

Bodegas Chivite has been located in the Navarra town of Cintruénigo since 1637, and doing a cracking job of wine production for 10 generations. Renowned for rosados, Chivite lives up to expectations with this wine, which has a pale salmon colour with intense summer pudding fruits, and a soft meringue and vanilla pod overlay. Dry, the palate shows lively acidity supporting the well-defined flavours. Sappy and savoury and showing a little astringent tannic grip, the wine will suit grilled lobster with clarified butter. LES CLANS, 2022

champagne and roses tour 2023 setlist

  • Producer: Château d’Esclans
  • Grape varieties: 86% Grenache, 12% Rolle, 2% Tibouren
  • Approx. retail price: £65

If you’ve never tried barrel-aged rosé, then you should give Les Clans a go. At first surprising, the aromatics are reminiscent of white Burgundy, or perhaps a fine Bordeaux blanc, with notes of ripe citrus mixed with toasted marshmallow. These are far removed from the typical scents of pink wine, let alone the delicate characters of Provençal rosé. But then, when you drink it, you see how high-quality oak and great Grenache-based pink wines can be a wonderful marriage. Not only do the white cherry and peachy flavours nicely complement the vanilla pod and white chocolate notes, but there’s also a lovely textural union, as fruit, oak and acidity combine to produce something fleshy, creamy and zesty. CHÂTEAU GASSIER, ELEVAE, 2019

champagne and roses tour 2023 setlist

  • Producer: Château Gassier
  • Grape varieties: 45% Syrah, 45%
  • Grenache, 10% Rolle
  • Residual sugar: 1.26g/l
  • Approx. retail price: £60

This fascinating rosé, which is aged for two years in Austrian oak barrels, is a top expression from the great Château Gassier, and a notable addition to the world of ‘serious’ pink wines. Not only is the rosé already almost five years old, but it also employs a range of vessels, including wooden demi-muids, to ferment and age the wines. The result is a complex rosé with a very pale peach and salmon colour, and characters that are a mix of juicy berries and oxidative, dried fruit flavours too. In some ways reminiscent of a classic white Rioja, there is a combination of nuts and vanilla, with some peach and pear, then apple skin and a sour cider-like note on the finish, giving the rosé a refreshing and slightly bitter edge. (Patrick Schmitt MW)

GARRUS, 2022

champagne and roses tour 2023 setlist

  • Grape varieties: 83% Grenache, 15% Rolle, 2% Tibouren
  • Approx. retail price: £120

The great barrel-aged rosé that is Garrus is still a benchmark in the niche world of fine, age-worthy pink wines. Loaded with lovely fruit flavours of white-fleshed cherry, juicy pear and ripe peach, along with redcurrant and ruby grapefruit, one can also expect to find oak-sourced characters of vanilla and toast, and even a touch of meringue, as well as some fine tannins to bring a pleasant, drying sensation to the finish. A delicious drop that’s pretty and serious at the same time. Perfect for summer salads, creamy fish dishes or just sipping in the sun with nothing more than a plate of grilled almonds. (Patrick Schmitt MW)

CLOS DU TEMPLE, 2023

champagne and roses tour 2023 setlist

  • Producer: Gérard Bertrand
  • Region: Languedoc
  • Grape varieties: 46% Cinsault, 38% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 5% Mourvèdre, 1% Viognier
  • Residual sugar: <1g/l
  • Approx. retail price: £220

The ultimate statement rosé, Clos du Temple is striking for its high price, distinctive packaging and powerful flavours. It’s the latter that gained it the title of Global Rosé Master in this year’s competition and, if one looks at the scores, the highest average of the tasting – making it our best pink wine of 2024. So, what do we love about this rosé? It’s a more-ish mix of grilled nuts, charred bread, creamy vanilla and then a combination of peach and lemon, wild strawberry and pineapple, redcurrant and white pepper. And it’s not just full in flavour, but texture too, with a lovely, soft, oily mid-palate mouthfeel, but a fresh finish, with a hint of bitter grapefruit to make you salivate. (Patrick Schmitt MW)

Taylor Swift Confirms the Eras Tour Will End in December: 'It Feels Like We Just Played Our First Show'

The pop superstar honored the 100th date of the Eras Tour by thanking fans for putting in "every single ounce of effort" to attend the concert sensation

  • Taylor Swift played her 100th show of the Eras tour on Thursday in Liverpool
  • "This is the very first time I've acknowledged to myself and admitted that this tour is going to end in December," she told the crowd
  • The final show will be in Vancouver on Dec. 8

The end of Taylor Swift 's "Eras" era is coming in December.

At the 100th show of the Eras Tour, held at Anfield Stadium in Liverpool, England, on Thursday, the pop superstar told the audience that the tour would be coming to a close at the end of the year.

"A lot of you are like, 'How are you going to celebrate the 100th show?' " Swift, 34 said to the crowd on June 13, per fan-filmed footage . "The celebration of the 100th show for me means this is the very first time I've acknowledged to myself and admitted that this tour is going to end in December."

"That feels so far away from now, but then again, it feels like we just played our first show on this tour because you have made this so fun for us," she continued.

"It's taken over everything. I think I once had hobbies, but I don't know what they were anymore because all I do when I'm not on stage is sit at home and try to think of clever acoustic song mashups," the "Fortnight" singer continued, referencing the "surprise song" acoustic set she plays for fans towards the end of every Eras Tour show.

Swift first announced the Eras Tour in November 2022 , with 27 concert dates across the United States. After over 3.5 million Swifties pre-registered for Ticketmaster's Verified Fan program — largest registration in Ticketmaster history — Swift added an additional 17 performances.

During the Ticketmaster presale, the website canceled the tour's general sale due to "extraordinarily high demands" — and Swift herself took to Instagram to tell fans "it really pisses me off" that some fans felt they had to "go through several bear attacks" to secure their tickets.

Since the initial domestic sale, the "All Too Well" singer has announced several additional legs to the "Eras Tour," including dates in Latin America , Asia , Australia and Europe , as well as an additional North American leg. The last scheduled show — the 152nd of the tour — is in Vancouver on Dec. 8.

"Just know that I appreciate every single ounce of effort that you've put into being with us when this tour reaches triple digits of shows — so thank you," Swift told the fans in Liverpool.

As fans descended upon Liverpool for the set of shows this weekend, they were met with what Liverpool City Council’s Director for Culture Claire McColgan called in a statement “pure pop heaven” — 11 city-commissioned public art installations, each meant to represent one of the superstars “eras.” Along what the city dubbed Taylor Town Trail , fans could snap photos on a gold throne adorned with snakes, emblematic of Swift’s Reputation album, or a moss-covered piano much like the one Swift plays during “Champagne Problems” on her Eras Tour setlist.

The “Anti-Hero” singer’s stop in Liverpool — the birthplace of The Beatles — comes not long after she surpassed a record set by the iconic English rock band. In February, Billboard reported that Swift had notched an eye-popping 384 cumulative weeks in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 albums chart across all of her albums, souring past the Fab Four’s long reign on top.

And, as further proof of her global dominance, the “Piano Man” himself, Billy Joel, said to The New York Times of the Eras Tour in August: “The only thing I can compare it to is the phenomenon of Beatlemania.”

In anticipation of the fanfare surrounding Swift’s first ever shows in the city, Merseyside Police said they had been working for six months to “make sure the event is a safe one” in a video posted to X (formerly Twitter).

“We’re really looking forward to welcoming Taylor Swift and the Swifties,” Chief Superintendent for Liverpool Zoe Thornton told fans in the video. “We know Swifties look after each other so continue to do so.”

Swift’s three-day stint in Liverpool follows a British Geological Survey report that found her last Eras Tour stop — three shows in Edinburgh —  generated seismic activity that was detected at monitoring stations over three miles from the stadium. According to the agency, fan favorite “...Ready For It?” drew the most seismic activity, though her hit “Cruel Summer” was not far behind.

In the interim between her Edinburgh and Liverpool concert dates, Swift stayed busy, taking a star-studded stroll in London , photographed with celebrity friends Este and Danielle Haim, Cara Delevingne , Lena Dunham , Kate Moss and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

The night on the town also came as Swift’s ex, Matty Healy of The 1975, confirmed his engagement to model Gabbriette Bechtel . Swift and Healy were briefly linked in May 2023 on the heels of the “Love Story” singer’s six-year relationship with British actor Joe Alwyn . Swift is now coupled with Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce , who has supported the singer by attending several Eras Tour concerts since they started dating last summer .

Following three nights in Liverpool, Swift will jet off to Cardiff, Wales, for her next Eras Tour date.

Taylor Swift 's Eras Tour is officially coming to an end. At the singer's June 13 show in Liverpool, she announced that her record-breaking tour will end in December. As of now, her last scheduled tour stop is Dec. 8 in Vancouver, Canada.

In the wake of the news, ET is taking a look back at the epic show and how it changed following the release of Swift's 11th studio album,  The Tortured Poets Department .

After taking a two-month hiatus  from her tour, Swift returned to the stage in May, welcoming fans at La Défense Arena in Paris.

According to social media users who posted from the concert, the first show of the European leg featured a new 45-song setlist that changed the order of certain eras -- including combining the Evermore  and Folklore eras -- and a bevy of changes to the singer's costumes, montages, and more.

Eras Tour Opening Act

While  Sabrina Carpenter  served as the opening act for the first round of international tour dates for  The Eras Tour , the European leg kicked off with  Paramore serving as the opening act. The GRAMMY winners are joining Swift on her European leg for 51 shows. The rock band previously opened the show for two nights in Glendale, Arizona, in 2023.

Their Thursday setlist included "This Is Why," "Hard Times," "That's What You Get," "The Only Exception," "Caught in the Middle" and "Brick by Boring Brick."

Eras Tour Intro Montage

Swift added  TTPD lyrics to the Eras Tour opening montage.

Eras Tour Introduction Monologue

Before she began playing the song "Lover" in the  Lover  set, Swift told her audience that the night would span 18 years of music. Previously, she said that the concert covered 16 years.

Eras Tour  Lover Set Updates

Swift cut "The Archer" from her Lover  set. The  Lover  house graphic also featured a new addition in the attic for The Tortured Poets Department .

Eras Tour Folklore and Evermore Set Updates

Swift combined the setlists for  Folklore and Evermore 's eras.

"On the Eras Tour we have now reunited the sisters, combined them into one chapter," she said. "You can call it Folklore , Evermore or you can call it the Sister Albums! You can call it whatever you want as long as you promise to sing 'Champagne Problems' with me."

The new setlist cut four tracks from the formerly individual eras, including "'Tis the Damn Season," "Tolerate It," "The 1," and "The Last Great American Dynasty."

Eras Tour  Speak Now  Set Updates

Swift cut "Long Live" from the  Speak Now  era setlist. She also updated the set with an intro dance featuring Raphael Thomas and eight other dancers before she sang "Enchanted."

Eras Tour  Red  Set Updates

Instead of performing her  Red  setlist as the fifth era, Swift bumped the  Red  era to third place on the setlist.

Eras Tour Paris Secret Set

Swift kicked off the secret set with "Paris," a bonus song from her Midnights  album. She also performed "loml."

Eras Tour The Tortured Poets Department Set

Swift officially launched the The Tortured Poets Department  era of the tour after the 1989  set towards the end. She performed "But Daddy I Love Him," "So High School," "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me," "Down Bad," "Fortnight," "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived" and "I Can Do It with a Broken Heart."

Swift's 11th studio album was released on April 19 to much fanfare.

The 31-track collection --  which turned out to be a surprise double album  -- features a hefty helping of  heartbreak songs  following her splits from  Joe Alwyn  and  Matty Healy , as well as a few  sweet love songs  amid her current relationship with  Travis Kelce .

"She has put her heart and soul into the music, just like with everything she does," a source told ET about the album, "and can't wait for her fans to listen to it and to share it with them."

Swifties predicted the singer would incorporate  TTPD into her tour after  Swift released a collection of new behind-the-scenes videos from what appeared to be tour rehearsals last month. The black-and-white clips are set to her current single, " Fortnight " featuring  Post Malone , as part of her ongoing #ForAFortnightChallenge on YouTube Shorts.

"A fortnight 'til Paris," she captioned the post. The term "Fortnight" refers to a period of two weeks, a reference to the first of four Eras shows at Paris La Défense Arena on May 9.

Swifties wasted no time dissecting the images, taking note of what appears to be new props that could indicate the addition of  TTPD  songs to her already extensive setlist.

ET recently spoke to Travis Kelce , the Kansas City Chiefs superstar dating the pop star, during which he  confirmed he'll be there with bells on  for Swift's upcoming performances.

"There won't be a bad show, I promise you that," he said. "You know I gotta go support."

Wine, etc.: producers in southern france have been perfecting rosé for centuries | commentary.

champagne and roses tour 2023 setlist

Despite its durability on the market, it has become a victim of its own success. Today, nearly every producer in every country makes rosé from just about every grape variety. So, if you can find rosés from Spanish tempranillo, California pinot noir, Italian corvina or Argentine malbec, what is the definition of rosé?

We first associated rosé with southern France, a region where rosé relied on a handful of grapes cultivated by generations of farmers whose sole goal was to make rosé. It is here where producers have been perfecting the summer quaff for centuries.

Many of them, such as Domaine Ott, make nothing but rosé. While many producers use whatever grape varieties are in their vineyards, their products contribute to what some French producers derisively have called a “swimming pool” of rosé. France has its own swimming pool of plonk, but they aren’t as quick to admit it.

Every year we taste our way through dozens of rosés from every country, and the differences are often remarkable. In the typical rosé, the crushed grapes soak with their skins for only a few hours, which gives the wine its pink hue and simple flavors.

Those that have a deeper red color have been left to soak for more than 24 hours. So, any red grape variety will work, but the French varieties give the wine its classic lively red fruit character.

We think the French got it right by choosing grenache, syrah, cinsault, mourvedre and rolle grapes. These are grapes that perform remarkably well in the heat of Provence and Bandol.

These rosés — usually a blend of these grape varieties — have the right acidity, color and fresh fruit character. Many even have complexity, but they come at a price. Put them alongside other rosés made from different grape varieties and they stand out.

We’ll write about the rosés from outside France in a future column. For today, feast your eyes on these exceptional rosés from southern France:

Domaine Ott Chateau de Selle Rosé 2022 ($68) . This exquisite and layered rosé leans on grenache and cinsault with a little syrah and mourvedre thrown in to keep it interesting. It opens with citrus, vanilla and minerality. White peach and lemon flavors round off a beautiful, intense rosé. Two years ago we visited with Jean-Francois Ott at his Provence tasting room and saw his dedication to making the best rosé in the world.

Chateau de Fabregues Costieres de Nimes 2022 ($17) . A blend of syrah and grenache, this rosé from southern France has lively acidity, medium body and understated raspberry, apple and white peach notes.

LEOS Cuvee Augusta L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue 2023 ($19) . The Perrin family has teamed up with Nicolas Jaboulet — another great winemaking family — to produce this unique rosé that adds bourboulenc and vermentino to grenache. The result is a highly floral rosé with good concentration and lots of fresh strawberry fruit. This was one of our favorites of the year.

Chateau La Mascaronne Cotes de Provence Rosé 2022 ($30) . Fresh strawberry and peach notes with a good dose of citrus quickly develop in this bright and tantalizing blend of cinsault, grenache, syrah and rolle grape varieties.

M. Chapoutier Belleruche Cotes-du-Rhone Rosé 2023 ($18) . One of our perennial favorites, this classic blend of grenache, syrah and cinsault is an expressive display of stone fruit and citrus notes with a hint of anise.

Minuty Prestige Cotes de Provence Rosé 2023 ($25) . Twenty-five years ago, producers Jean-Etienne and Francois Matton wanted to produce a signature wine to a wider audience with a reasonable price. We have enjoyed it for years. Strawberry and raspberry notes with a dash of stone fruit and citrus come from this blend of grenache, syrah, rolle and cinsault.

Chateau Minuty Rosé et OR 2023 ($35) . Lots of fresh citrus and red fruit notes with a dash of mineral. The blend is grenache (80%), syrah, cinsault and tibouren.

Mathilde Chapoutier Selection ORSURO Cotes de Provence 2023 ($21) . This Rhone Valley producer is really into rosés with three selections. This one is a blend of primarily grenache noir and syrah with a bit of cinsault, cabernet sauvignon, clairette and rolle to round out a broad palate of flavors.

Chateau d’Escalans Whispering Angel Rosé 2023 ($18) . This favorite of many consumers, Whispering Angel was an overnight success. It is found on restaurant wine lists and at wine warehouses for a lot less. From Provence, it is semi-dry which might be the reason for its success. Smooth with grapefruit and citrus notes and a dash of clove.

Miraval Cotes de Provence Rosé 2023 ($23) . The subject of an ugly divorce between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, this wine is successful despite the acrimony between the Hollywood couple. It is a classic blend of cinsault, grenache, syrah and rolle. We always have this one sitting in our refrig, begging for a plate of cheese. Raspberry and citrus notes with lively acidity and a dash of orange peel and minerality.

Esprit Gassier Cotes de Provence Rosé 2023 ($20) . Grenache, cinsault, syrah and rolle combine to make a delicately appointed rosé with peach notes.

Chateau La Coste Vin de Provence Rosé 2023 ($25) . There is some nice complexity in this classic blend of grenache, syrah, cinsault and cabernet sauvignon. Red fruit with a dash of peach and citrus.

Famille Perrin Cotes du Rhone Reserve 2022 ($15) . The family behind Chateau Beaucastel has been making another tier of wines for a long time — just waiting to be discovered. This blend of cinsault, mourvedre, grenache and syrah has rasberry notes with crisp acidity.

Hecht & Bannier Provence 2023 ($14) . Two friends formed this company in 2002 and have been making some terrific rosés since. This one from the Languedoc has strawberry notes and a great mouthfeel.

Clockwise Sauvignon Blanc Russian River Valley 2023 ($30) . Steve MacRostie, who makes wine under his family name, and winemaker Heidi Bridenhagen launched this brand a decade ago as a playground for new varieties and regions. This simple and aromatic sauvignon blanc is a great sipper on a summer afternoon. Citrus, grapefruit and freshly mown grass dominate. We look forward to what else they produce.

Lucia by Pisoni Soberanes Vineyard Chardonnay 2022 ($55) . Jeff and Mark Pisoni have a series of chardonnays and pinot noirs that continue to impress us. This one has dense and effusive stone fruit and apple aromas with velvet pear flavors and a distinctive hint of minerality.  We also like the pure and rounder estate cuvee chardonnay that sources its fruit from the Soberanes and Pisoni vineyards.

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour UK setlist and surprise song predictions

Taylor Swift in a white dress performing onstage on the Eras Tour

The Lover House is burned down, Speak Now is fighting for her life, and we’re all afraid of little old Taylor Swift as she brings the Eras Tour to the UK, with the nation preparing for her first concert tonight.

The 34-year-old’s mammoth three-and-a-half-hour set has sold out arenas in Edinburgh, Liverpool, Cardiff, and six shows in London, kicking off in Edinburgh on Friday night.

UK-based Swifties have really gone all out, with Capital FM releasing a radio station dedicated to the All Too Well icon.

Paris night one revealed an entirely new tour version as the Tortured Poets Department took centre stage and the entire Eras Tour was changed, from bodysuits to choreography.

Fans had already speculated there might be a switch up after she released the Eras Tour film before her tour had finished but this was more than our wildest dreams.

It’s no surprise that Taylor has added in the new album but as the Eras Tour was already incredibly long, some songs were left on the cutting room floor.

Taylor Swift performing on stage beneath a spaceship prop

The Archer, tis the damn season, and even the last great American dynasty were all brutally ripped from the setlist.

New glittering bodysuits and dresses were rolled out for every era except Reputation, which is the last in the album in the show to get its Taylor’s Version.

So far no vault track appears on her main setlist, only core album songs have a permanent place on the Eras Tour.

Swifties have been left in utter disbelief as Folklore and Evermore were combined into one era, known as the sisters era, to keep the time down.

Speak Now was reduced back down to one song — RIP Long Live — and debut remains reserved for surprise songs in the acoustic set.

Taylor Swift performing onstage in a bejewelled orange leotard

Let’s be honest Taylor could perform for six hours and fans would still want more but even she would probably find that exhausting.

After so much upheaval, let’s see what Taylor Swift’s setlist has been left looking like and what that means for the UK.

We’re still going strong opening with Lover but even her seventh studio album and big opener couldn’t survive Taylor’s great setlist war. We’ll miss you, The Archer.

  • Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince
  • Cruel Summer
  • You Need To Calm Down

Fearless Era

The album that made her a superstar remains unscathed but since there were only three songs for this era it’s hardly surprising.

However, a new tasselled bodysuit was revealed and it looks incredibly similar to one worn on the Our Song hitmaker’s original Fearless tour in 2009.

  • You Belong With Me

In a position switch up, the setlist now moved from Fearless into Red instead of Evermore but the songs remain unchanged and All Too Well remains firmly in pride of place.

  • We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
  • I Knew You Were Trouble
  • All Too Well (10 Minute Version)

Speak Now Era

Justice for Speak Now, already balding but now scalped as Long Live has been once more removed.

We’re begging Taylor, I will sacrifice I Knew You Were Trouble for just one more purple-painted dream.

Reputation Era

Yet to have its Taylor’s Version released, Reputation remains unchanged on the mammoth set but has been moved to after Red and Speak Now rather than before.

It’s also the only section that has not had an outfit change, the day that red and black bodysuit goes we’re all going to lose our minds.

  • …Ready For It?
  • Don’t Blame Me
  • Look What You Made Me Do

Folklore/Evermore Era

Once separate totalling 12 songs, Taylor’s lockdown albums have been combined into one – with a lot of casualties.

‘We have reunited the sister albums,’ the singer told the Paris crowd, joking it could be called ‘everlore’ or ‘folkmore’.

Removed from the setlist are: Tis the damn season, the last great American dynasty, invisible string, and tolerate it.

  • Cardigan (folklore)
  • Betty (folklore)
  • Champagne Problems (evermore)
  • August (folklore)
  • Illicit Affairs (folklore)
  • My Tears Ricochet (folklore)
  • Marjorie (evermore)
  • Willow (evermore)

Mother’s favourite child remains safe and sound with no changes and still following the Folklore set. Honestly, we would have loved to see some of this swapped out for the vault tracks which stormed the charts last year.

Bad Blood remains on the setlist, we wonder if Kendrick Lamar is free to come do a surprise live feature…

  • Blank Space
  • Shake It Off
  • Wildest Dreams

The Tortured Poets Department

Initially, Swifties weren’t sure if this would be added and if so how could the 31 tracks possibly be whittled down into just a handful?

A new era brings blessings of brand new outfits, a floating stage set piece, gunshot choreography, and of course some insane vocal moments.

Taylor has spoken and these are (probably) her favourites off TTPD.

  • But Daddy I Love Him
  • So High School
  • Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me
  • The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived
  • I Can Do It with a Broken Heart

Taylor Swift singing into a microphone wearing a white dress

The stage she’s gliding around on during Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me? IS A MIRROR!!!!! The audience can see themself in the mirror as she’s singing “You caged me and then you called me crazy. I am what I am ’cause you trained me” 💀💀💀 pic.twitter.com/YuV6A21dLs — 🩶beatriz🤍 – ttpd (@coneyisland131) May 9, 2024

Surprise songs

Each night Taylor plays two surprise songs from her vast discography, these have included This Love and Clean from 1989 and Dear John and Last Kiss from Speak Now.

Also known as the acoustic set, Paris Night One fans were (obviously) treated to Paris from her album Midnights played on piano and loml on guitar from TTPD.

In this leg of the tour, Taylor has taken to singing some gut-wrenching mashups and announced she could sing whatever she wanted so any song is on the table.

There are some songs it’s likely she’ll reserve for London, such as London Boy and So Long, London but the rest as up for grabs.

Since the slate was wiped clean with this new leg, and Taylor’s penchant for singing You’re On Your Own Kid repeatedly, there’s no way to predict the Mastermind’s moves.

Midnights Era

Closing out the show is the iconic era which gave us ‘Karma is the guy on the chiefs ’ and that chair choreography — Midnights.

Her 2022 album gets sparkling new outfits, although the Lavender Haze fluffy lilac jacket has not been swapped out.

  • Lavender Haze
  • Midnight Rain
  • Vigilante Shit

What is the old Eras Tour setlist?

With so many changes, here’s what Taylor’s Eras Tour used to look like for a setlist run

  • tis the damn season
  • champagne problems
  • tolerate it
  • invisible string
  • the last great american dynasty
  • illicit affairs
  • my tears ricochet

When is the Eras Tour in the UK?

The Eras Tour comes to the UK from tonight , beginning in Edinburgh for three nights before heading to Liverpool, Cardiff, and London .

Who knows what Taylor will have in store for fans given her love for keeping everyone on their toes.

Given the huge overhaul, this is likely to be the setlist for the UK gigs and all her European dates but might have minor tweaks thrown in.

Of course, if you’re sad your favourite track is not on there is always a chance it could be one of the surprise songs as she has no rules around what she can and can’t sing here.

We’re hoping for Picture to Burn, Suburban Legends, The Black Dog , or Hits Different but that tells you far too much about us.

What is Paramore's Eras Tour setlist?

The iconic pop punk band Paramore will be opening for Taylor Swift at the UK gigs and they revealed their setlist in Paris.

Of course, it is much shorter but still packed with hits from the chart-topping band, fronted by Taylor’s long time friend Hayley Williams.

  • Hard Times (+ Heart Of Glass)
  • Burning Down The House
  • Still Into You
  • Caught In The Middle
  • Brick By Boring Brick
  • The Only Exception
  • That’s What You Get
  • Ain’t It Fun
  • This Is Why
