This Life-Size Barbie Dreamhouse Is Coming To Los Angeles In April
Turning Barbiecore into a reality.
Now is your chance to step inside Barbie’s Dreamhouse. That’s right, you can finally live “in a Barbie world” with the Barbie house experience, which is coming to Los Angeles this April. Instead of shrinking down to the size of a doll, the immersive experience will bring Barbie’s world to life for you to explore with your besties. The Insta-worthy pop-up will not only include the iconic Dreamhouse, but Barbie’s pink camper van as well.
Barbie is really having a moment right now. With updates on the Barbie movie starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling keeping fans on their toes and brands releasing their own nostalgic Barbie collabs , Barbiecore is here to stay. If you’re down to take your fandom to the next level, you’ll want to stop by the World of Barbie immersive experience . Last year, People reported that the World of Barbie would be touring U.S. cities like New York, Chicago, and Dallas after its debut in Toronto, and it seems Los Angeles is first. Of course SoCal would be Barbie’s first choice for a U.S. debut. It’s close to her Malibu home, and you can get tickets to the World of Barbie starting in March.
Aside from Barbie’s Dreamhouse being human-size, there are other activations and Insta-worthy photo moments throughout the experience that any fan will want to see for themselves. You just want to make sure you snag a ticket before they sell out.
What Is The Barbie House Experience?
It’s time to dig through your closet for the cutest pink ‘fit you own, because the World of Barbie immersive experience was made for the ‘Gram. The main attraction is Barbie’s Dreamhouse, where you can walk through her living room and kitchen while admiring the cutest Barbie-inspired decor. You’ll also get a chance to hang out in her backyard, which has lawn chairs and a pool — aka ball pit — that you can jump into. Prepare to snap some super cute pics of you and your besties lounging around like you’re having the perfect summer day at Barbie’s house.
Of course, when at Barbie’s house, you definitely want to check out her closet. As you make your way through, you’ll get a chance to see many of her iconic outfits and career uniforms from over the years. You know Barbie is the OG boss babe, so there will be tons to see. If you arrive in Barbiecore style, you’ll have a chance to show off your lewk in the fashion studio. The studio will have a pink carpet you can walk down that is lined with life-size Barbie boxes to step into and take a pic. You may even feel like you’re in *NSYNC’s “It’s Gonna Be Me” music video.
Along with seeing Barbie’s career outfits, you can also pretend to be her. The World of Barbie will have play sets like a space center, where you can snap pics in Barbie’s spaceship with your besties. There will also be a movie theater with Barbie content playing, and a salon with Paul Mitchell products. Afterwards, relax in Barbie’s pink camper van that has a cozy hammock for you to lounge in as you live “life in plastic.”
Exclusive to LA will be special after-hour events happening at the Barbie pop-up. For example, there will be a Pink Carpet Night where guests can wear their best Barbiecore fashion and enjoy a night of dancing, walking the pink carpet, and chowing down at the snack bar. Every Sunday at World of Barbie will be a Movie Day, where Barbie animated movies will be playing in the theater and popcorn will be available. There will also be a 21 and up night called Sips After Sunset hosted by special guest influencers with a DJ and fun cocktails.
How To Get Tickets For The Barbie House Experience In LA
Tickets for the Barbie house experience in Los Angeles will go on sale March 8, and prices start a $34 for adults. To make sure you get your tickets before they sell out, you can sign up for the waitlist on Fever.
Where Is The Barbie House Experience In Los Angeles?
The World of Barbie Dreams Made Here experience will kick off in Los Angeles at Santa Monica Place . The outdoor shopping center is close to the beach, and the perfect location for a Barbie-themed day.

Do You Guys Ever Think About Pink?
Pink, like the inside of your … Barbie Dreamhouse, baby! The Barbie movie set is open for tours, and you’ll need to see this Pinkprint for yourself. Emceed by Ms. Barbie, Margot Robbie, a new Architectural Digest tour gives you a peak inside a life-size Barbie Dreamhouse with all of the 2-D appliances your heart desires. Director Greta Gerwig even shows off the different pink shades that were used for the set, at one point showing off the versions of a “white” shade, which is to say, lighter pink, of course! “I can’t even tell you the meetings we had about pink,” Gerwig says. There were also lovely rules like “There is no water in Barbieland.” (Life in plastic means no swimming, unfortunately.) The only side effect of this pink-splosion is that you’ll be sad you can’t move in. Comfort yourself with the knowledge that it’s only about a month until the Barbie movie finally comes out on July 23. That’s hot (pink)!

The fountains of Peterhof
#Attractions #Peterhof #Sightseeing #Parks
One of the main distinguishing features of the Peterhof fountains is the original arrangement of a conduit. Unlike Versailles, this grandiose construction works without pumps and other water-pressure facilities. Water is supplied from numerous natural and artificial ponds, nourished by underground sources and springs.
The Grand cascade
At first, Peter I had planned the ponds of the Upper garden to be the water source for the Grand cascade and its fountains, but soon the tireless ruler, who personally investigated the area, found additional sources of water, which situated in the neighborhood of the future Peterhof Park. The nature of the terrain enabled the creation of a system of conduits, in which the water flowed by gravity from dozens of ponds, located above the Lower Park and the Upper garden.
Thus, all 4 cascades, and 191 Peterhof fountains (including the Grand cascade water cannons) are fed by ponds of Ropshinsky hills (which are located at a distance of 24 kilometres), as well as English, Meadow, Olgin and other ponds (18 ponds overall) and many streams and sources. All of these sources combine into a complex system of sluices and canals with total length of 40 kilometers. The most surprising fact is that the system of water pipelines constructed by the order of Peter I and with his personal participation operates to this day.
“The most notable of all the Peterhof fountains is spectacular and majestic Grand cascade”
The most notable of all the Peterhof fountains is spectacular and majestic Grand cascade. This gilded splendor includes 255 sculptures, bas reliefs and other architectural structures, as well as 64 fountains with 138 water jets soaring skyward. The focus of the entire composition is the famous gilded “Samson tearing the lion’s mouth”, and in the center of the cascade there is a Lower grotto with a viewing point decorated with golden sculptures and marble bas-reliefs.
Another cascade fountain, named Checkerboard hill, looks like a bright spot on green background. 20-meter speed checker board with two mysterious caves that are guarded by three dragons is sometimes also called the Cascade of dragons. On both sides of the construction there are staircases, decorated with sculptures of white marble. At the beginning of the World War II, the sculptures had been removed and hidden, while the cascade itself was completely destroyed by the Nazis.
The “Favorite” fountain
Like many years ago, the moving fountains are extremely popular among the visitors of Peterhof Park. These include the “Favorite” fountain, created in 1725. It depicts quacking ducks floating in a circle, and a little dog that unsuccessfully tries to catch them. It is a good sign if you lucky enough to throw your coin right at the duck’s back and if the coin remains there. So despite its modest size, park staff daily extracts a lot more coins from the “Favoirte” than from any other Peterhof fountain.
Today Peterhof is the most popular of all the Petersburg suburbs. Its palaces and fountains impress the most sophisticated travelers. Each of Peterhof fountains is a jewel in its unique and luxurious collection. If you want to find yourself in a dreamland, come to Peterhof and take a walk in its enchanting parks among fabulous fountains.

A taco math word problem
Q: There are 42 tacos on a table. Four people per team must eat all 42 tacos in less than four minutes and 20 seconds. How many tacos would 4 teams eat?
A: Who cares? The only thing that matters is how many tacos your team eats, and how fast.
This is the Ultimate Taco Challenge, scheduled for Feb. 13 — Fat Tuesday — at El Chingon , 560 Fifth Ave.
The restaurant calls it a south-of-the-border twist on Fat Tuesday.
In other words: Taco Tuesday meets Fat Tuesday.
In other words: Fat Taco Tuesday.
The team to finish first will win an El Chingon gift card and a bottle of Don Julio 1942 tequila. Teams are encouraged to enroll in advance , but they can sign up the day of. Check-in starts at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 13. The contest is open to adults 18 or older. There is no entry fee, and contestants don't have to pay for the mountains of tacos they consume. The experience is free, a restaurant spokesperson said, adding that the competition tacos will be simple — meat, tortilla and maybe a few cilantro sprigs.
And yes, there is a waiver that includes the words "consumption of large quantities of food and calories."
El Chingon's regular taco Tuesday menu starts weekly at 3 p.m. and features a five-taco flight for $9.42, half-priced à la carte tacos (certain varieties) and discounted Don Julio 1942 shots and bottles.
Augmented reality plus car washes: It's a thing now
Soapy Joe's Car Wash is launching a car wash tournament.
It's called the $10,000 Grand Slam Getaway . Prizes: Tony Gwynn Jr. signed memorabilia, annual wash memberships, and a $10,000 trip to see a professional baseball international season opener in March, the news release says.
"We're excited to partner with Tony Gwynn Jr., a San Diego sports icon and longstanding Soapy Joe's wash club member and honorary Chief Bubble Officer, to engage our community in a novel way," said Anne Mauler, Soapy Joe's vice president of marketing.
The contest unfolds in a proprietary new augmented reality game called Soapy's Splash Dash.
The company is not coy about its intentions: to build brand engagement by getting people to play its game as much as possible.
"The company is building on its success with gamified customer experiences that engage fans in a 'more you play, more you win' architecture," the news release says.
"We launched the AR game via our Instagram on Jan. 2, and in the first two weeks, we had more than 875 plays from 514 unique users," Mauler said.
Soapy Joe's is a San Diego family-owned car wash chain founded in 2001, now with 23 locations in San Diego County. It has donated 120,000 free washes to community-based organizations that serve veterans, health care workers, schools, hospitals and firefighters, its news release said.
