Awesome Food Tour with Galia!

We booked a food tour with Visit Moscow Tours and turned out to be the best thing we did in Moscow! Our guide was Galia and she is extremely friendly and knowledgable of local history, traditions. We went to Uzbek and Georgian restaurants, traditional food market and a super market. We had so many amazing dishes and drinks at every stop that I can't even recall all the names now. I highly recommend coming hungry for the tour, because there is just loads of different choices and very generous helpings. Galia had even gone out of her way to purchase some traditional sweets for us. She is very passionate about Russian food, culture and history and will answer any kind of query you have. We had so much laugh and fun with her. I highly recommend to use her company's service for food tour in Moscow.

I came across this tour company by chance in the Red Square (via someone handing out leaflets) offering a free introductory tour. As it was free I thought why not, I’m not normally someone who goes on guided tours as I like to wander by myself but I found it really interesting, fun and informative. The guide was friendly, funny and knowledgeable. After this I booked two more tours (paid for) with the same company, one was the Metro tour, going round the different ornate underground metro stations – something I would never have done on my own, and it was surprisingly impressive! The other tour I went on was the Communist tour and I found it fascinating. It is really great to hear about the city and the country and it's history from the perspective of Russian locals, and I am definitely a guided tour convert! I highly recommend Moscow Visit Tours to anyone visiting Moscow for whatever reason, the guides make you feel really welcome and really help you get to know the place, and the people :-) I will definitely go on more of their tours next time I visit!

This was our first visit to Moscow and I heard about this company through a friend who had just visited. We first decided to try the free tour and we loved it so much that we signed up for all the other tours the company offers. My personal favourite was the food tour where we went to different cafes/restaurants and tried traditional Russian national food, whilst listening about the country's history and culture. We have previously done a food tour in Paris but this one was better because it was not only about the food, you get to hear so many interesting facts and get to know more about the Russian people. The guide was amazing, very knowledgeable and friendly, and answered all the questions we had. I highly recommend this company to anyone who is interested in Moscow city tours, this was one of the best city tours we have done. You must try the food tour if you visit Moscow. It's also great that these guys offer a free tour as well - it's full of information and gives you a high level idea of Russia.
