Welcome to the Alliance Fastpitch, where collaboration and celebrating the athlete are the heart of our story. Launched in 2020, the Alliance Fastpitch sparked a movement of competitors working together off the field to grow the game. Together, we have established a clear pathway to play in travel softball through our regional Member Leagues and a true National Championship experience. Along the way, we have brought together a fragmented community, recognized thousands of players, crowned Championships, provided resources and shared memories! 

Alliance Fastpitch Membership

The Alliance Fastpitch is a national organizing body for travel softball. We offer annual memberships for teams, athletes, and coaches in the 18U to 10U divisions. This 2023 - 2024 Season, we invite you along the journey! 

Teams will join one of our 9 Member Leagues based on their geographic location. League Schedules consists of existing tournaments hosted by various event hosts and sanctioning bodies in their region. Visit League Schedule and Event Type to know whether that tournament is a points event, stats only event, or Qualifier. Head coaches will register themselves and their team to get started. 

Annual Membership for athletes and coaches includes benefits on and off the field. Participant insurance is included in an athlete's membership and once a team has a minimum of nine players registered, then that team can receive their Certificate of Insurance that's accepted at all League and National events. Athletes will be invited by their coach to join their teams roster, or coaches can register and pay for their individual players. "Free Agent" athletes can register for the Alliance (meaning your team is not a member), just select Free Agent as your team.

Team and athlete profiles are included with your annual membership! The Alliance Fastpitch is the ONLY youth organization that collects your season stats, tournament results, and rankings in one location. To receive your season stats, be included on leaderboards, and eligibility for our Player of the Month and Player Recognition honors, then teams must live score and live stream games with AthletesGoLive. 

All individual members have exclusive access and discounts to our partners. Why The Alliance

The future of fastpitch.

The Alliance Fastpitch was founded in 2020 as a united effort to challenge the status quo of youth fastpitch . Our founders had a  vision to unite our efforts in growing the game and improving the athlete experience. Our sport needed an alliance of people working together with an athlete-centric approach. 

In order to grow and to better serve fastpitch athletes, it was important that every region of the country was represented. Youth softball clubs and organizations play an important role in our sport and have a direct impact on our athletes and youth softball families. Alliance Member Leagues unite these organizations at a regional level and the Alliance Fastpitch unites all softball clubs and teams at a national level. It is important that t eams from across the country have a voice with the Alliance Fastpitch .

As a result of this grassroots collaboration and innovation driven by youth fastpitch leaders around the country, the Alliance Fastpitch has quickly grown to national prominence – and ultimately to be the top level of competition and player development in youth softball. The AFCS is the premier National Championship in youth softball. The best teams and the best players compete for a National Title in a format that emulates College Softball and a format that produces the best Champion in each age division and Tier. 

Alliance Fastpitch is re-shaping amateur softball into One National League System with a unified structure and mission. The Alliance Fastpitch league system offers   a defined pathway to play on the field and collaborative resources off the field . 

In three seasons, the Alliance Fastpitch has served over 3,000 teams, 5,000 youth coaches, and over 35,000 youth softball players and families. The Alliance Fastpitch started with six Member Leagues in the 2021 Season and enters the 2024 Season with nine regional Member Leagues.

When is the next total solar eclipse in the US after 2024 and what is its path? What to know

The highly anticipated 2024 total solar eclipse will cross North America on Monday , giving millions of sky-gazers the chance to see a rare cosmic event that won't be viewable again for 20 years.

The eclipse's  path of totality  will travel over a portion of northern Mexico before entering the U.S. It then it will cross 13 states  from Texas to Maine, where the spectacle is expected to attract huge crowds.

If you aren't lucky enough to be in the path of totality this time around, you will have another chance - you'll just have to wait until the 2040s.

Here's what we know about the next total solar eclipse to cross over the U.S.

When is the next total solar eclipse visible from the U.S.?

It will be 20 years before there's a chance to  witness a total solar eclipse  in the United States again.

According to NASA, after Monday's total solar  eclipse , the next one viewable from the contiguous U.S. will be on Aug. 23, 2044.

2044 total solar eclipse path of totality

Unfortunately, the 2044 total  solar eclipse  won't have the broad reach across the U.S. as the 2024 eclipse.

The path of totality during the 2044 eclipse will only touch three states, according to the Planetary Society, a nonprofit involved in research, public outreach, and political space advocacy.

The eclipse will begin in Greenland, sweep through Canada and end around sunset in Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota.

2045 solar eclipse

While the 2044 total eclipse will only touch three states, a 2045 eclipse will have a more robust path across the U.S.

Expected to occur on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2045, this solar eclipse will trace a path of totality over California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, and Georgia.

A partial solar eclipse will also be viewable in 35 other states, according to National Eclipse.com

What is a total solar eclipse?

Any celestial object like a moon or a planet that passes between two other bodies can create  an eclipse  by obscuring the view of objects like the sun.

In the event of a solar eclipse, the moon comes in between the Earth and the sun, blocking its light from reaching a small part of our planet. Partial eclipses, when some part of the sun remains visible, are the most common, making total eclipses a rare sight to behold.

Total eclipses can lead to a period of darkness lasting for several minutes, during which time nocturnal animals stir while confused birds and insects may fall silent, NASA says.

When a solar eclipse reaches totality, people are able to see the sun’s outer atmosphere called the corona, which is usually obscured by the sun's bright surface. This offers scientists an uncommon opportunity  to study the corona .

Totality also offers spectators a chance to gaze upon the spectacular sight with the naked eye, though  proper  safety  glasses  are still required for the rest of the time.

What states are on the 2024 eclipse path of totality?

Mexico's Pacific coast will be the first location in continental North America to experience totality, which is expected to occur at about 11:07 a.m. PDT,  according to NASA .

As the moon's shadow will northeast, totality in the U.S. will begin in Texas at 1:27 p.m. CDT. The path will then cut diagonally across the country, traveling through Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont and New Hampshire.

The eclipse's path is expected to end in Maine at 3:35 p.m. EDT before visiting the maritime provinces of Canada, according to estimates.
