Enoa Tours offers a little  different from all others, as it is specifically redesigned to spend the most time “ off the bus ,” at each stop so that together you can discover all of the things that make our island magical. Enoa Tours only operates mini-buses to ensure group size and comfort.  All admissions and lunch are included. Tour is offered from Waikiki and Ko Olina.

Itinerary: 

• Nu’uanu Pali Lookout –  The first stop of the day is at one of the most scenic and historic places in all of O’ahu. Learn the story about how King Kamehameha united all of the Hawaiian Islands under one monarchy as they visit the very spot where a famous battle took place.
• Byodo-In Temple –  As they drive along the Ko’olau mountain range they stop to discover a hidden gem tucked away from the main road. Byodo-In Temple was featured by National Geographic in “20 of the world’s most beautiful Buddhist temples,” noting its architectural details and awe inspiring surroundings.
• Tropical Farms –  Famously known as “The Little Country Store On Your Way to the North Shore”   Steve and Chrissy Paty started this as a roadside operation in 1987 and now, three decades later it’s a great place to try different local snacks and learn how to crack open some macadamia nuts as the chickens stand by watching hungrily hoping you drop a nut or two.
• North Shore Lunch Stop –  Your driver will update you on the daily menu and determine a great place for everyone to enjoy a delicious lunch before driving alongside the world famous North Shore O’ahu coastline on our way to the next adventure.
• Waimea Valley –  Follow your E Noa tour guide on a short hike to a 45′ waterfall where you can swim . Learn about the ancient history of Waimea Valley and why it’s considered to be a very significant and religious site.
• Dole Plantation –  They will end our day with a drive through Haleiwa Surf Town and beautiful pineapple fields before stopping at the Dole Plantation. Don’t forget to try the world famous Dole Whip frozen dessert, a perfect treat under the Hawaiian afternoon sun!

What to expext

After being picked up from your Waikiki hotel, set off on the Circle Island Drive. Keep your camera to hand as you wind up into the Koʻolau Mountains, stopping to gaze out over the Hawaiian Islands from the Nuʻuanu Pali Lookout and visit Byodo-In Temple.

Continue to the North Shore, where you have the chance to explore seafront towns such as Banzai Pipeline and Sunset Beach, enjoy sweeping views of Waimea Bay, and watch the surfers taking to the waves. Visit the beautiful Waimea Falls, then make a final stop at the Dole Plantation, where you can sample some tasty frozen pineapple DoleWhip® (own expense).

Will I see a waterfall?

The flow of the waterfall depends on rainfall. So the size or if there a waterfall at all depends on if it rained recently and/or how much it has rained recently. There is no guarantee the waterfall will be visible at Waimea Valley (especially during summer)

Is there a lot of walking on this tour?

This circle island tour as more walking than most circle island tours due to the visit to both the Byodin-Temple and Waimea Valley.

The trail to Waimea Falls is about 3/4 of a mile and takes approximately 30 minutes. It is paved the entire way, with gentle hills. There are several gravel paths off the main corridor, for more adventurous walkers to explore all our botanical garden collections. According to Waimea Valley Website

Overall rating

It was a good tour and great driver. I wish we would have stopped at more of the scenic spots and skipped some of the roadside gift shops. One was enough. I would skip the Dole Plantation altogether.

Totally enjoyed our tour with Squid. He was so informative, giving us great information about each place we visited (as well as places we passed along the way). Loved the high energy music he played on the bus, which ene ... rgized the group. Loved the shrimp lunch, which was included. Kudos to Squid. I highly recommend this tour to others. You will not be disappointed.

Our tour guide is Deno. He is very knowledgeable and funny. He takes well care of us. We are happy to book any other tour with him.
