Weirs Beach (Laconia)

Located on the western end of Lake Winnipesaukee, Weirs Beach is the home port of the M/S Mount Washington and her sister vessels. Full of nostalgic charm, this lakeside neighborhood offers arcades, amusements, shops, restaurants, and a vibrant nightlife scene. Our Ticket Office is located at the center of the boardwalk, as well as our gift shop and snack bar.

Located at the southern tip of Lake Winnipesaukee, the Town of Alton is considered one of the oldest ports of shipping on the lake. It is also the birthplace of the Mount Washington cruise ship, as the original side-wheeler was launched in Alton Bay in 1872.

Tickets & Seating

All passengers are required to have a ticket, regardless of age.

Cruise with Brunch Tickets

Ticket includes a 3 hour cruise, unlimited access to the brunch buffet, and access to reserved seating areas for brunch passengers.

Passengers purchasing cruise tickets with the brunch buffet included will be directed to the Main Deck, which is reserved for brunch passengers only. Depending on the number of tickets sold, additional areas of the ship may also be reserved exclusively for brunch passengers. Brunch passengers are not required to sit in areas designated, however these seats have been reserved as a courtesy.

Ticket includes a 3 hour cruise, and access to the open seating areas of the ship.

Passengers purchasing "cruise only" tickets will be directed to the upper decks, away from the areas reserved for brunch passengers. While "cruise only" passengers are welcome to explore the ship at their leisure, we request they leave tables in reserved areas open for brunch passengers. For "cruise only" passengers with mobility concerns or who have difficulty with stairs, please see a crew member for assistance with seating.

Fantail Grille

The Fantail Grille offers a variety of freshly-prepared breakfast and lunch items. To place an order, visit any bar and then head to the Main Deck to pick up your order.

Please note that the Fantail Grille is not open on Sundays.

Located on the Main Deck of the ship, the Gift Shop offers a wide variety of Lake Winnipesaukee items and M/S Mount Washington memoribilia.

Remember your cruise with a photo souvenir – our photographers are available during boarding and throughout the cruise to capture professional snapshots of your time on board.

For your convenience, the M/S Mount Washigton has bars on every deck of the ship. Our crew is ready to assist you with food orders, soft drinks, beer, wine, and cocktails.

Please note that not all bars will be open during all cruises, depending on ridership.

Harbor Sweets

Located on the second deck of the ship at the top of the Grand Staircase, Harbor Sweets serves locally-made ice cream, coffee, and other snacks.

Please note that Harbor Sweets may not be open during all cruises.

Are dogs permitted on the ship? Only specially-trained service dogs are permitted. Service animals must be trained to perform a specific task for an individual with a disability. Emotional support animals are not permitted nor protected under ADA.

Can I bring my own food on board? The M/S Mount Washington has a restaurant on board, and therefore does not allow outside food and beverage to be brought on board, with the exception of celebration cakes which we do not offer. If there is a dietary restriction or reason you may need to bring your own food, please contact our Ticket Office before you arrive for your cruise.

Can I bring a stroller on board? Absolutely. However, we do ask that strollers remain on the Main Deck and are not carried to the upper decks. If the child does not require the use of the stoller while on board, please speak with a member of our deck crew and they can store it for you.

Are group discounts available? Yes, we offer group discounts for parties of 20 or more with an advance reservation. Please contact our Ticket Office to speak with a group sales representative.

Is it possible to host a private function on a Sunday Brunch Cruise? Yes, private rooms are available for parties or between 40 and 125 guests. For parties of more than 125, a ship charter will be required. For more information, please contact our function sales department.

Sunday Brunch Cruise

Enjoy the area’s biggest brunch buffet while taking in the beauty of southern Winnipesaukee. During this 2½ hour narrated trip from either Weirs Beach or Alton Bay, learn about the people and events that have shaped the lake's history, as you dine on a variety of breakfast and light luncheon items.

Not hungry for brunch? We offer tickets with and without the brunch buffet, and snacks and light fare are available for purchase.

Boat Amenities:

• Entertainment - Sundays include light entertainment for the enjoyment of our guests. During good weather, the entertainment will be located on the Third Deck. During cold or inclement weather, the entertainment will be located on the Main Deck.
• Bar Service - For your convenience, the M/S Mount Washington has bars on every deck of the ship. Our crew is ready to assist you with food orders, soft drinks, beer, wine, and cocktails.
• Gift Shop - Located on the Main Deck of the ship, the Gift Shop offers a wide variety of Lake Winnipesaukee items and M/S Mount Washington memorabilia.

Any seat on the M/S Mount Washington offers spectacular views of Lake Winnipesaukee, but some areas offer slightly different experiences. All seating is "first come, first served" on narrated scenic tours, and we encourage passengers to move around and explore the ship at their leisure.

The largest area on the M/S Mount Washington, the Main Deck offers the most amenities of any section of the ship, including restrooms, grille, bar, and gift shop.

The Main Deck is also the handicapped-accessible area of the ship. Passengers with mobility concerns or difficulty with stairs should be seated here.

The Promenade is the outside walkway on the second deck of the ship, including a seating area located on the bow. This area of the ship offers beautiful views of the lake in a completely outdoor setting.

Please note that the Promenade is an outdoor deck and passengers in this area will be exposed to the elements and should plan accordingly. In the event of severe winds or inclement weather, passengers will be directed to an indoor area of the ship.

All tickets are non-refundable, with the rare exception of a cruise that is canceled by us due to extreme weather or mechanical failure.

The Paris Olympics 2024 is coming to a wrap as excitement builds for the closing ceremony. It will be taking place inside the Stade de France with 80,000 spectators in the early hours of August 12 (Monday). What's more? Here are some of the stars who will be making an appearance:

Tom Cruise has been attending the Olympics for several years now, and did not fail to show his support this year as well. He was spotted cheering from the strands at a number of competitions, most recently as USA competed and won at the Olympics women's football. As per USA Today , the Mission Impossible star will “rappel into the Stade de France before skydiving from a plane” at the closing ceremony.

• Billie Eilish

The Academy Award winning singer will be performing at the closing ceremony too, reported Variety . Why she was chosen? The same report predicts that ‘the L.A.-affiliated musicians’ will pass on the attention to the next Olympics, which will take place in LA in 2028. Billie's concert film Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles had paid homage to her city’s iconic landmarks and culture. The singer also confirmed it through her latest Instagram post, which read, “LA28 Handover performer.”

Rapper Snoop Dogg became an internet fixture in the last few weeks, thanks to his numerous appearances as an on-air personality for NBC during the Olympics, as well as his adorable reactions to the athletes.

Deadline reported that H.E.R. will perform the US national anthem live, which will be then followed by all the performances by the musical stars.

Red Hot Chili Peppers

The musical guest, who emerged out of the punk scene in the 1980s, will also be performing during the closing ceremony.

LA28 Chairperson and President Casey Wasserman said, “This is the biggest moment in LA28 history to date, as the Olympic flag passes from Paris to LA. We are thrilled to feature the very best of LA with local artists and are grateful to Billie, H.E.R., the Chili Peppers and Snoop for their collaboration on what will be an incredible show to a global audience that will give fans a taste of what’s to come in 2028.”
