1. manohra luxurious dinner cruise.
- Duration: 2 hours
- Departure: 257 1-3 Charoen Nakhon Rd, Khwaeng Samre
- Departure Time: 7:00 PM
- Includes: Dinner, free-flow soft drinks, all taxes and fees
If it’s your first time in Bangkok and you’re looking for the experience of a lifetime, look no further than this first cruise.
The Manohra Luxurious Dinner Cruise tour is a wonderful way to spend an evening in this absolutely stunning country full of kind people. From the setup on the boat and attention to detail to the captivating views and delicious food – it’s an evening filled with luxury and fun.
Lasting 2 hours, it’s a nice alternative to going out to a regular restaurant as it comes with plenty of tasty traditional dishes with entertainment, to boot. We made our way to the Cao Phraya, which is the “main” river in the country, known as the “River of Kings”.
I didn’t know it before, but most of the most famous attractions in the city are right on the river banks, offering some of the best views of them!
This dinner cruise is a classy one, so I do recommend you dress nicely and get ready for a romantic experience perfect for a date night or celebrating an important date. The staff were phenomenal, with a genuine friendliness and attention to detail rarely found these days.
Expand To See More See Less
The Bangkok skyline is mesmerizing no matter the time of day or point of view, but it’s really something special when the sun sets over the river and illuminates the unique structures.
Honestly, I would’ve taken this tour even if dinner wasn’t included, but the fact that they offer a delicious 4-course meal makes it that much better!
We were served traditional specialties like coconut soup, green curry, and lemongrass prawns – all of which, I loved!
The small-group setting made it a more intimate experience, where it felt like we were cruising around with friends as opposed to those big group tour masses.

- Departure: 23 Soi Charoen Krung 24, Khwaeng Talat Noi,10100
- Departure Time: 7:30 PM
- Includes: 2 Hour River Cruise, Dinner on board, All Fees and Taxes, Entertainment during dinner
Step into a world of elegance and opulence with this captivating journey down the enchanting Chao Phraya River through Bangkok.
The expert guides and attentive crew make it an unforgettable evening of fine dining, world-class entertainment, and awe-inspiring views. The Wonderful Pearl Dinner Cruise makes all that possible in a convenient way that anyone can enjoy!
Booking this tour was one of the more convenient, as we didn’t require any type of paper tickets or proof – instead, e-tickets right on our phone were all that was needed.
We had a couple of different meetup points to choose from, setting sail from the River City Pier. We were kindly escorted on board, where we were given the option to take a seat inside the boat or enjoy the open-air deck with 360 views of the area.
As we began to cruise along, we were able to start getting up to enjoy a buffet dinner filled with tasty dishes from all over the world.
I will say that I probably would’ve preferred just trying Thai dishes, but it was still good, nonetheless. It was really something special sipping on refreshing drinks while passing remarkable structures like the Rama VIII Bridge that connects the older and newer parts of the city.
The Grand Palace and Temple of the Emerald Buddha were also fascinating, and some of the staff were kind enough to regale us with some history and cultural significance behind each one.
We even had a band who played the majority of the night, offering the perfect background to an already incredible evening! I would recommend grabbing a table on the top deck if you can, though, as they have the best views!
3. Chaophraya Princess Dinner Cruise in Bangkok with Return Transfer (SHA Plus)
- Duration: 3 hours
- Departure: Hotel pickup and drop-off included
- Departure Time: 5:30 PM
- Includes: Air-conditioned vehicle, River cruise including dinner
When you get to Bangkok, you’ll soon realize that there are tons of different boats that go out on the river but they vary widely in quality and experience.
There are many tourist ferries, however, they don’t go as far north, and they do cost a bit more. The Chaophraya Princess Dinner Cruise in Bangkok with Return Transfer (SHA Plus) is one of the better-value cruises of this type, with the most convenient itinerary I’ve gone on.
For example, instead of having to head to an agreed-upon meeting point, they actually came to our hotel to pick us up and take us to the boat docks.
Once we arrived, they escorted us on board, where there was already a band playing classic jazz along with some pop rock.
The lighthearted atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing river cruise, and they even had a dance floor we could enjoy with other passengers before and after dinner was served!
Being able to cruise down such a historically significant river, through lush greenery and impressive architecture, is a treat in itself.
I’ve been on plenty of river cruises on more well-known rivers like the Seine, and honestly, I found this one to be quite possibly more impressive. The shimmering lights from the metropolis that dance over the river is almost magical, creating a scene like something out of a movie.
As we passed significant sites like the Grand Palace and Temple of Dawn, the crew taught us about their significance to the Thai people and throughout history.
It was a cool way to get to see them relatively quickly, so we could better plan where we’d like to explore further, later on.
I recommend trying to sit upstairs for dinner so you can witness the sunset in all its glory, while enjoying the fresh air and 360 views.
4. Bangkok Saffron Luxury Dinner Cruise on the River of Kings
- Departure: 299 Soi Charoen Nakhon 5, Khwaeng Khlong Ton Sai,10600
- Includes: Dinner cruise on the 38 metres Saffron Cruise along the Chao Phraya River, 4 Course signature Thai set dinner with Petit Four, Welcome Mocktail on the Moon Desk
Bangkok is filled to the brim with delicious eateries and bustling bars, but perhaps one evening during your time in Bangkok, you switch things up.
This tour is a great alternative to dinner at a restaurant, or the perfect activity to partake in before going out on the town.
The Bangkok: Saffron Luxury Dinner Cruise on the River of Kings is like a window into the soul of this fabulous Thai capital, with a unique opportunity to view it in a way most tourists don’t get to see.
This isn’t any cruise, though – it’s a luxury cruise where you’ll be spoiled with prime views of the lit-up city, personalized attention from a friendly staff, a 4-course Thai dinner, cocktails, and much more.
This is the longest of all the cruises on this guide, but I noticed that we were able to see some more sites, which was important to me as I really love learning about a place’s history more than anything else.
There are plenty of cruises that have more of a party vibe to them, and this cruise has a calmer, more relaxed atmosphere which is perfect for a romantic date or simply kicking back and letting stress melt away.
However, keep in mind that at it is meant to be a quieter, more “upscale” experience, you don’t have a guide there with an educational commentary to inform guests about the different sites and historical background.
To go hand-in-hand with that premium experience vibe, the food was some of the best of any Bangkok dinner cruise I’d taken.
After all, it is a high-quality, 4-course meal that could give any upscale local restaurant a run for its money. We were even able to watch a fantastic fireworks show over the water and the lit-up city as we cruised along, which made it all that more magical!
5. Chaophraya Cruise – Amazing Dinner Cruise
- Departure: 2194 Charoen Krung Road, Khwaeng Wat Phraya Krai
- Includes: Dinner, Live Music with Professional Singers, Desserts, Fruits and Snacks, Refreshments with hot coffee or tea, All taxes, fees and handling charges
Part of the reason I love Bangkok so much, is it’s lively culture filled with amazing music and friendly locals. This next tour feels a lot like I’ve walked into my favorite Thai bar, where everyone is eager to ensure we have a nice time and get to appreciate their city the way it should be.
The Chaophraya Cruise – Amazing Dinner Cruise is not as relaxed and quiet as the previous tour, but it’s a great contrast.
If you have a couple of hours free and it’s your first night in Bangkok, do not pass this 2-hour tour opportunity up! It’s the perfect introduction to Thailand, allowing you to view the city’s top sites on the river banks, while learning all about them!
It’s a nice way to get the “lay of the land” (or water) and gain a bit of general knowledge so you can explore those that specifically caught your attention further, on another date.
As we cruised along, we sat down at our private table where we enjoyed plenty of unlimited coffee and tea, along with fruits and snacks before enjoying the buffet dinner.
The dinner consisted of all kinds of regional and international dishes, including tasty desserts while listening to live music! I should mention that you also have the option of upgrading to a hotel transfer, so you don’t have to worry about meeting up at another point in the city.

Tips For Choosing a Seating Zone
Consider these tips when choosing a seating zone for your Chao Phraya River Dinner Cruise:
Rooftop (3-storey cruise only) : This is the most sought-after area as guests get an unobstructed view of the stunning skyline and landmarks. Due to its popularity, it's best to book early to secure your spot.
Upper-floor Open-air (2-storey cruise only) : This area offers a clear view under a roof making it suitable for all weather conditions. It has more lighting than the rooftop or front deck.
Front Deck : The view from this small outdoor area is breathtaking. It's relatively quieter compared to other zones. Guests won't find any live music or performances here, and food must be obtained from other areas.
Air-conditioned Room : This zone is a good choice for families with children or seniors. It's also a great option for those who want to avoid the heat during the summer or rain during the rainy season.
Pier Locations
There are three piers from which dinner cruises depart. To avoid missing the cruise and to have time to explore the shops or take photos before boarding, it's always a good idea to arrive early.
ASIATIQUE : This large open-air night market is on the "Phra Nakhon side". You can get there easily by taxi or by using the free shuttle boat service from Sathorn Pier (BTS Skytrain: Saphan Taksin), which runs every 30 minutes and takes around 15 minutes. It has a wide selection of dinner cruises, but the boarding area is often crowded.
ICONSIAM : This luxury shopping mall is on the "Thonburi side". You can conveniently reach it by taking the BTS Skytrain (golden line) or the free shuttle boat service from Sathorn Pier (BTS Skytrain: Saphan Taksin), which runs every 15 minutes and takes only a few minutes to arrive at the mall.
River City : This lifestyle mall is located on the "Phra Nakhon side" and can be easily accessed by taxi from the city center. It offers fewer cruises than other piers and is less crowded at the boarding area.
