Recent tour reviews

The venue, Printworks, was located in the Surrey Docks in London. It was inside what I would call a huge warehouse which had been stripped to the bare minimum. Hundreds of lights had been fitted, many different colours. You almost felt underground.

Doors opened at 7pm. 2 Bad Mice were on from 7pm - 7:40pm. Matrix & Futurebound from 7:40pm - 8:25pm. Friction from 8:25pm - 9:10pm. Pendulum from 9:40pm - 11pm.

Pendulum obviously killed it. You could recognise their music but they did change it slightly, for example ‘Blood Sugar’ was the second or so song to play and half way through they tainted us with the saying “You blocked me on Facebook, and now you’re going to die”, a line from ‘Internet Friends - Knife Party’ which Rob Swire is also a part of.

Amazing gig. Outstanding. Great venue. Great crowd. Good support acts. Pendulum sublime. Best night out in years. Really hope they carry on and tour/produce new music - they are in a league of their own.

On the modern touring circuit, you will find very few artists who can evoke such range of emotion from an entire arena filled with fans. The Australian/British drum & bass juggernauts have created a strong career in their twelve year history and an even stronger following to go along with it. Many of the early singles including 'Tarantula' and 'Propane Nightmares' are considered to be definitive of the 00's decade and have already gone on to inspire breakout stars in the electro/dance market.

There is a constant pulsation throughout the concert which makes it feel as though you are standing on an electro sea as the robotic vocal rings out around the venue in competition to be heard over the roars of the masses. The visuals involved in both parts of 'The Island' are absorbing, mesmering and transport the audience to Pendulum's very own dance galaxy before they return with a bang to the finale of 'Watercolour' which is cathartic, surreal, momentous and anthemic all at once. Music is meant to evoke feeling, and a Pendulum concert successfully does this.

Pendulum Tour 2024: Rob Swire and Bandmates to Perform Across the UK — Details

It's been a while since British and English fans saw Pendulum live on stage. After a few years of not visiting the United Kingdom, the Australian band will be back in a few months for a series of concerts; check out all the details below.

Taking to their official Instagram account , Pendulum, featuring members Rob Swire, Gareth McGrillen, Paul "El Hornet" Harding, Peredur ap Gwynedd, and KJ Sawka, announced that they will make a big comeback in the United Kingdom.

"UK, it's been a while...2024 arena tour lets go," they wrote  in the caption.

The post also had the official poster of the upcoming shows as well as the scheduled dates for the concerts.

How to Get Tickets for Pendulum Tour 2024

For those who are interested to see the Australian rockers perform live, NME reported that tickets will be available starting this week.

Pre-sale will begin on Wednesday, August 16, while the general tickets will be available for purchase on Friday, August 18, via Live Nation.

In other updates, Pendulum just dropped their latest song of 2023 titled "Halo," a collaboration  between them and Matt Tuck, the frontman of Bullet For My Valentine.

In a previous interview , Rob Swire of Pendulum said he always wanted to create music that sounds ike the apocalypse and "Halo" is the perfect song to describe his dream project.

"We've always had one foot in the metal scene, so collaborating with Matt from Bullet For My Valentine was an incredible experience and his voice brought something completely unique to the table," he added.

It's been 13 years since Pendulum last released an album with "Immersion." Two years after the record, the band announced  that they would be on hiatus.

However, they later reunited in 2016. The Australian band later released an EP titled "Elemental" in 2021.

As of this writing, there is still no announcement on whether they will drop a new album soon or not.

Pendulum announce UK tour for 2024

Aussie drum’n’bass legends Pendulum will hit the UK next March for a run of arena shows.

After a knockout set to one of the biggest crowds of the weekend at this summer's Download Festival , drum'n'bass veterans Pendulum have announced details of a six-date UK arena tour for next spring.

Making the announcement on social media with the simple message "UK, it’s been a while…2024 arena tour lets go", Pendulum have revealed they will return to our shores on March 24 with a headline show at Leeds' First Direct Arena and will round the trip off with a huge show at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow.

Earlier this year, Pendulum teamed up with Matt Tuck from Bullet For My Valentine for new track Halo . Speaking about the song, frontman Rob Swire said, "I’ve always tried to create music that sounds like the apocalypse and with Halo, we’ve gotten closer than ever before. We’ve always had one foot in the metal scene, so collaborating with Matt from BFMV was an incredible experience and his voice brought something completely unique to the table."

Australian drum and bass veterans Pendulum have announced an arena tour of the UK set for Spring 2024 – check out the complete list of tour dates below.

The band took to social media yesterday (August 14) to announce the tour, which will see Rob Swire and co. take on Leeds, Manchester, Cardiff, Birmingham, London and Glasgow between March 24 and March 31.

Tickets will go on sale this week, with pre-sales going live on Wednesday (August 16) and general tickets being made available on Friday (August 18) via Live Nation. You can purchase your tickets here .

Pendulum most recently released their first track of the year, ‘Halo’ , which features  Bullet For My Valentine ‘s frontman Matt Tuck. Pendulum’s last studio album,  ‘Immersion’ , was released in May 2010.  After going on hiatus in 2012 , the band reformed in 2016 and  released the EP ‘Elemental’ in June 2021.

Speaking to  NME  in 2020 about their new music plans , Swire said: “[After the ‘Elemental’ EP’, we’ll] then maybe try to come up with some  Knife Party  music or do an onslaught of tracks. It’s pretty open right now, which is one of the benefits of the pandemic.”

In other news, the band are set to play a handful of shows this summer, at the Lindisfarne Festival in UK on September 1 and the Tokyo World Festival in Bristol on September 16. Purchase tickets to those shows here .

The fact that this will be Anitta’s first bona fide tour outside Brazil may surprise fans, as the singer seems to be everywhere all at once. In 2022, she became the first female Brazilian act to perform at Coachella, and at the end of 2023 she headlined TikTok’s in the Mix, playing for 17,000 fans at Sloan Park in Mesa, AZ. She also closed out the year with her hit “Bellakeo” alongside Peso Pluma, which has spent 14 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 53.

The tour will follow the release of Anitta’s new album,  Funk Generation , due out on April 26 via Republic Records/Universal Music Latin Entertainment.

Funk Generation  follows Anitta’s three-track bundle,  Funk Generation: A Favela Love Story,  which was released in 2023 as a precursor to the new album.

Miranda Lambert is stopping in Atlantic City during her 2024 summer tour. Here’s how to get tickets

Everything will be “Better in the Long Run” once you get your hands on Miranda Lambert tickets.

The country singer will begin her summer tour on May 24 in New Braunfels, Texas and will wrap up on Sept. 27 in Gautier, Miss.

Right before her tour ends, Lambert will perform in Atlantic City on Aug. 31 .

Joining the tour on select dates will be special guests Gavin Adcock, Wade Bowen and Calder Allen.

In addition to her summer tour, Lambert is also set to perform at several music festivals , including Stagecoach Music Festival on April 27 , Under The Big Sky music festival on July 13 and Rock The Country Anderson festival on July 26 .

Masters 2024 props, golf odds: Expert reveals top PGA Tour prop bets, parlay picks for Augusta National

The first 2024 Masters tee times will begin at 10:30 a.m. ET on Thursday after weather delayed the start of the opening round. At 100-1 to win outright in the 2024 Masters odds, it's unlikely that Tiger Woods will pick up his sixth career green jacket this week at the Masters 2024. However, there are still plenty of intriguing Masters Tiger props on the board for golf bettors to consider before he tees off. The biggest golf tournament of the year started on Thursday with a field of 89 players at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. Of that field, 13 LIV golfers are competing for the iconic green jacket.

Defending Masters champion and LIV golfer Jon Rahm shot a 1-over-73 in Round 1. But it was another LIV golfer - Bryson DeChambeau - who took the top spot after the first day at Augusta National with a 7-under-65.

DeChambeau led the field but multiple LIV players were high up the leaderboard. Tyrrell Hatton finished Round 1 tied for sixth after shooting a 3-under-69. Joaquín Niemann and Patrick Reed both finished tied for ninth with a 2-under-70.

2024 Masters weather: Sunny skies set for Saturday

Updated: Saturday, April 13, 10:00 a.m. ET: Sunny skies will see temperatures warm with highs reaching the mid to upper 70s this afternoon. Wind will not be as strong but remain breezy out of the WNW at 10-15 mph. Gusts to 20-25 mph can be expected between 11 a.m.-5 p.m. before decreasing this evening.

Updated: Friday, April 12, 8:10 p.m. ET: Mostly sunny skies are forecast for Saturday at Augusta National with temperatures set to reach the mid-70s. A few wind gusts to 20 mph may occur between 12-5 p.m. Saturday. Mostly sunny and warmer Sunday, with the temperature climbing into the mid-80s.

Updated: Friday, April 12, 9 a.m. ET: Sunny and dry conditions are forecast throughout the day with a high temperature in the low 70s. Breezy conditions this morning, turning windy by midday with westerly wind gusts of 30-35 mph. Isolated higher peak gusts between 35-40 mph cannot be ruled out between 3-6 p.m.. After a cool start Saturday morning, temperatures will rebound nicely this weekend with highs in the mid-70s Saturday and mid-80s on Sunday amid plentiful sunshine.

After a morning of monitoring strong storms that have affected states from Texas to Florida, Masters officials announced the gates will open to the patrons at 9:30 a.m., and honorary starters Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Tom Watson will tee off at 10:10, followed by the first tee time in the 89-player field, Jake Knapp and Erik van Rooyen at 10:30.

According to weather.com, thunderstorms are possible around 8:30 a.m., with potentially strong, gusty winds.

Updated: Thursday, April 11, 7 a.m. ET: First-round tee times will be delayed at least an hour because of morning rain. "We continue to monitor the weather closely," read a post from the tournament on X. "Gate openings and tee times have been delayed until further notice. The first round will not begin before 9 a.m."

According to weather.com, it is expected to be cloudy from 7-8 a.m. but there is a chance of scattered thunderstorms from 8-10 a.m.

Updated: Wednesday, April 10 7 p.m. ET : The Masters has issued a weather update, noting that patron admission will be delayed Thursday due to adverse weather conditions expected overnight and into the morning.

"Due to forecasted weather on Thursday, we have decided to delay all gate openings in the morning," the Masters posted on X, formerly Twitter. "All Masters free parking will be closed until further notice while gate openings are delayed. Further updates will be shared no later than 5 a.m. via Masters.com and social channels."

Updated: Wednesday, April 10 10 a.m. ET: AUGUSTA, Ga. – The first round of the 88th Masters Tournament could be affected by inclement weather as dangerous conditions are predicted to arrive early Thursday.

There’s a 90% chance of showers and thunderstorms prior to 1 p.m., with wind gusts of 40-45 mph between 8 a.m. ET and noon. That would create potentially dangerous conditions and push back tee times, possibly bringing Friday into play for the conclusion of Round 1.

Last year’s Masters was also affected by weather, with second-round play pushed to Saturday and third-round play pushed to Sunday, when eventual winner Jon Rahm and co-runner-up Brooks Koepka played 30 holes.

Severe weather began slamming the southern United States on Tuesday night, continued into Wednesday and was expected to reach the Augusta area first thing Thursday.

According to the Masters Tournament weather update:

“A cold front is forecast to bring a band of rain and scattered thunderstorms through the region between 6 a.m.-1 p.m. ET Thursday. Heavy rainfall and occasional wind gusts of 40-45 mph are anticipated over this period. A lull in precipitation should occur behind the cold front between 1-4 p.m. ET before scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms drift back into the region for the late afternoon and evening hours.

“Windy conditions persist Friday under mostly sunny skies as a dry and stable airmass settles into the area. Mostly sunny skies can be expected through the weekend with west to southwesterly winds in the 7-15 mph range.”

• Thursday: Mostly cloudy with a 90% chance of showers and thunderstorms prior to 1 p.m. ET. Partly cloudy with a 40% chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms after 4 p.m. Forecast rainfall: 1-1 1/2 inches. Wind gusts of 40-45 mph between 8 a.m.-noon. Low: 65F High: 77F Winds: S shifting SW 15-25; gusts 30-35 mph.
• Friday: Mostly sunny and windy. Noticeably less humid. Low: 54F High: 72F Winds: W 15-20; gusts 30 mph.
• Saturday: Mostly sunny and warm. Low: 49F High: 78F Winds: WNW turning W 7-15 mph.
• Sunday: Mostly sunny and warm. Low: 53F High: 84F Winds: W turning SW 7-15 mph.

The Masters has dealt with its share of weather conditions in recent years. The final round of Tiger Woods’ iconic 2019 victory came hours earlier than scheduled to avoid impending storms. Last year’s leaders played 30 holes on Sunday as storms wiped out much of the third round.

This year’s Masters is largely devoid of rainy conditions, with Thursday as the lone exception. According to the official Augusta National weather forecast, there is an 80% chance of showers and thunderstorms on Thursday, with an expected rainfall of 1.00-1.50 inches.

“Isolated light showers are possible Tuesday and Wednesday before rain and thunderstorms arrive early Thursday and continue throughout the morning hours. A cold front is expected to pass through in the early afternoon, with diminishing precipitation chances for the remainder of Thursday. Thunderstorm wind gusts of 40-45 mph will be possible,” the official forecast stated.

Conditions are expected to clear up by Thursday afternoon and stay dry through the rest of the tournament. Here’s a day-by-day breakdown of the official Augusta National weather forecast:
