Idyllic Island Sailing Adventure

Prima provides small-group sailing adventures around the Whitsundays. Prima was built for charters in the Whitsundays and is comfortable, lovingly presented with plenty of seating. There are a large saloon and dining area that can seat all 12 guests at once.

The deck has a shaded canopy over the helm with lots of seating, plus a cushioned area for sunbathing. Bring your own drinks and store them in the guest fridge for easy access. No two trips are the same as we take you from one carefully selected, idyllic island location to the next.

Depart the Coral Sea Marina Resort (formerly Abell Point Marina) at 8.30 am. Sit back and relax as your skipper takes control, and you leave your worries on the shore. Sail to Tongue Bay for a guided walk through National Park land to Hill Inlet Lookout. Take in the stunning views of the 7-km long stretch that is Whitehaven Beach at the top. Then walk down to the beach and experience the silica sand for yourself. Back on board enjoy lunch whilst heading north along the western side of Hook Island.

Find anchorage in a secluded bay for a chance to jump in for a snorkel; meet the underwater life, try and find Nemo, maybe even bump into a turtle. Then be taken to your overnight anchorage in one of the many bays on Hook Island. Enjoy sunset snacks and a drink and talk about the day with your new friends before dinner is served. Take a seat on deck and view the constellations above you before heading to bed.

Enjoy a hearty breakfast with a beautiful island landscape around you. Make way to the next bay, and enjoy another swim or snorkel, see the fringing coral reef and the stunning marine life underwater again, maybe head across to another beach or island to explore. Then set the sails and make way back to Airlie Beach, arriving at 16.00pm.

This is a sample itinerary of the Atlantic Clipper Overnight Tour, and every departure is subject to weather conditions. The crew and Operations Team reserve the right to alter the itinerary at any point to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests.

ALL ABOARD!

This action-packed adventure kicks things off in the paradise of Airlie Beach, departing the marina as we set off on an unforgettable sailing experience on the mighty Atlantic Clipper, the Whitsundays largest sailing boat!

As we cruise away from the mainland and sail towards your first stop, we will pass through to Bauer Bay at South Molle Island, here we will let everyone have a swim, play on the waterslides and enjoy the heated spa to get everyone into the tropical holiday vibes. From here we set sail to our anchorage for the night, Hook Passage. Crack open a cold one, kick back and enjoy as you have the best seats in the house for a tropical sunset over the Whitsunday Islands.

As the day moves through to night, have a heated shower and get ready for a delicious dinner, freshly prepared by a crew member. Now it’s time to mingle and meet new mates with an evening of music, flowing drinks, friendly banter, and fun games as we all get to know one another. It might be night-time, but you should keep your eye out on the ocean as dolphins come out to play near our spotlights – Y OU BEAUTY!

RISE AND SHINE!

It’s an early morning start but we promise it will be worth it. You’ll wake up to a tasty breakfast, tea and coffee as we travel to the idyllic Whitehaven Beach . Once we arrive at Tongue Bay, our crew will take you to the beautiful Hill Inlet lookout , where you will see the creamy white swirls and crystal turquoise hues of Whitehaven Beach. There is no wonder it is one of the worlds most photographed beaches.

Now you’ve seen it, it’s time to feel it! Let’s head down and splash about in those blue and white swirls. Explore, sunbake, swim, and play beach games as you soak up those Aussie rays. It’s time to head back to the boat and upon your return is a beautifully prepared buffet lunch. Whilst you eat, we will sail to one of the best snorkel and scuba diving destinations. Atlantic Clipper has a dive instructor who can take those who purchase a scuba diving experience out to explore the vibrant marine life . Whether it be snorkelling or scuba diving this underwater world lights up before your eyes as you explore one of the worlds seven wonders of the natural world.

Next, we will visit another snorkelling/dive location, here is where we will get the waterslides , paddleboards , and heated spa ready for you as you enjoy playing on the Whitsundays biggest playground on water. After finishing up with an afternoon of water activities, we will head to the exclusive beach for a white party. White outfit, check! Party tunes, check! Sunset and good vibes, check check! Don’t forget, it’s lights out at 12am but you’ll thank us later.

Ahhh it’s morning, the sun is shining, the birds are chirping and the crew are singing… LOUDLY to wake you up so have some breakfast and fill your bellies. There is no better way to fix a hangover than to slide down the water slide and dip into the ocean! Ahhh refreshing. Enjoy all the water activities or just lap up the sun on the decks before we sail back to the mainland.

To sleep in a boat that is moving becouse of the wind and the waves, see billions of Stars on a black Sky. See beautiful Islands. To Snorkel on a coral reef. I like it. The days bevore the Weater was very bad, moust of the tours were canceled. When i go on the Sailboat we had from time to time Rain and strong winds. The Crew of the Prima tried to do the best to make a good tour altougt the weater was not the best. It was great for me to sail with strong Wind. The boat leans on one side and you feel the wind in your hear. I love this feeling. I really recomend seasickness pills. Some of our travelgroup were Seasick. For this People the Sailing part was a torture. We go Sorkeling on a Coralreef, becouse of the Weater the view was not the best. I recommend this trip to everyone who likes Beautiful Places. I hope, that you can visit beautiful places and wish you save travels! :-) For your safety: Sunscreen 50 wear the Stingersuit oll time when you go into the Water. (Stingers are poisenous Jellyfish, in the worst they can kill you). Recommended for your well-being: Seasickness tablets (take one at least one hour bevore you get on the Ship, when you thake the tablet to late, they dont help). No details about the program and hours for the 2 days trip. No communication. We asked to have some shadow on the boat because it was too hot, they said no. We were situated 9 hours away from Airlie beach at the time and the cyclone meant we couldn’t travel due to flooding etc. We contacted the company about this however because the Whitsundays was not affected they wouldn’t refund us or change our date. We wanted to re-schedule for may but they wouldn’t change our tour at all. We lost out on all of our money for something this couldn’t be helped. We then received a phone call on the day of the tour asking where we were and we explained that we contacted them several times tying to change our tour. The lady on the phone then replied saying that it’s probably because they are fully booked. We responded saying we want to change to may and it wasn’t fully booked and she was silent. There is a very laidback and lovely atmosphere on board. Snorkelling in the morning was amazing. Thierry was very keen on safety, which was nice and got new stingersuits. The customer service was awful to top it all off. I called and emailed repeatedly and was told that they would get back to me eventually. It's been 8 months and I haven't heard anything.
