Nutini returned back in May with two new singles, ‘Lose It’ and ‘Through The Echoes’ , which marked the first material from the artist since his 2014 studio album ‘Caustic Love’ .

Shortly afterwards,  he played his first live show in almost five years at The Leadmill in Sheffield  ahead of further intimate gigs in London and Oban. He then supported  Liam Gallagher  at Knebworth and performed a surprise set at  Glastonbury 2022 .

Paolo Nutini wrapped up a UK and European tour earlier this month. That run of dates included a concert at Alexandra Palace in north London.

A pre-sale (use code HEADLINE) begins on Tuesday 15 November at 10am. local time. The general on-sale begins Friday 18 November via Ticketmaster.

Released in July 2022, Last Night In The Bittersweet hit No 1 in the UK and included the singles Lose It and Through the Echoes. In December, Nutini will celebrate a successful year with a run of homecoming shows at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow. He has recently been announced as the headline act for Latitude Festival 2023, alongside Pulp and George Ezra.

In a rare recent interview with Rolling Stone UK, Nutini reflected on returning to the stage post-pandemic, “I’ve never stopped writing songs and writing ideas and that’s what gives me my kicks. Even if they sit half-finished for a year, I feel like I’m happy regardless of what I’m doing at the time. But over the past two years, watching how it’s affected everybody, that social shutdown, it made me think that it is a real privilege to go out and communicate with people on such a scale. And to have the outlet of release that performing on a stage can give.”

Scottish singer-songwriter Paolo Nutini’s 2023 North American tour follows the release of his fourth studio album, Last Night in the Bittersweet  – an album of reframed experiences and rewired iconography, where the lurid colours of a neon motel sign or a snatch of dialogue from a movie can mean as much as a heartfelt plea or wrenching goodbye. In its down-the-line drums, guitar drones and euphoric melodic releases, it lives in the moment when, your forehead pressed against a cold car window, the white lines of the central reservation seem to fold into the music fighting its way out of your headphones.

Paolo Nutini is back on Irish soil this week. The Scottish singer is kicking off his Last Night In The Bittersweet Tour , promoting the 2022 album of the same name, in Ireland this week before taking a spin around the European bloc. That album joined three of four that have reached number one in Ireland for the sweet-singing songwriter. Starting with a sold out gig at Cork’s Musgrave Park on Wednesday, Nutini will continue on to Dublin on Friday. So what do you need to know about the concert?

When does he play?

The concert is on at Malahide Castle in north Dublin on Friday, June 16th.

What time should I arrive?

Gates open at 5pm and the show starts at 6pm. Bear in mind that Hogan’s Gate, near Malahide Dart station, will be the only pedestrian access to the grounds.

Who are the support acts?

Galway indie rock band, Newdad, will support Nutini with their music no doubt influenced by the Cure and Beabadoobee. Australian songwriter Julia Jacklin will also bring some alternative folks and country into the mix, so it will be later in the evening before we catch a glimpse of Nutini’s New Shoes.

How do I get there – and home again?

The concert entrance is about a 10-minute walk from Malahide Dart station – the organisers recommend public transport, given the likely congestion and parking problems (clampers and tow trucks will be operating) for anybody who drives to the concert. It is recommended to allow at least an extra two hours travel time to and from the venue. Make sure to plan and book your return travel in advance – it’s a long walk back to the city.

Dart, train and bus: The last Dart leaves for Dublin at 12:07am. The last train leaves for Dundalk at 12:12am. Concert buses will leave from the Dublin Road for Custom House Quay, in central Dublin, after the gig from 10.30pm. You can book a return ticket (€20) in advance.

By car: Fingal County Council will be providing car parking for the concert via the Back Road. Organisers advise pre-booking parking in advance from Marathon Coaches here for €20, as parking on the day will cost €25. Illegal parking in areas surrounding Malahide Castle and in local estates will be subject to clamping or being towed.

  • Driving from the south: Take the M50, leave the motorway at junction three (signposted M1 Belfast/Airport), continuing on to the R139. At the roundabout take the second exit, continuing on the R139 for 2.6km. Turn left on to Malahide Road/R107. Continue for 4.2km, then take a right on to Back Road. Follow the signs for the car parks, which will be on your left.
  • From the north: Take the M1, leave the motorway at junction four (signposted R132 Swords/Malahide/Donabate). Keep right, merging on to the R132. At the roundabout take the second exit, keeping on the R132. At the next roundabout take the second exit, staying on R132. Take a slight left, merging on to Swords Road/R106 and continue for 2.9km. Turn right on to Dublin Road/R107, continue for 700m and then turn left on to Back Road. Follow the signs for the car parks, which will be on your left.

The car parks include designated spaces. Email [email protected] to register. For accessible-ticket queries call Ticketmaster on 0818-903001 (Republic of Ireland), 0333-3219996 (Northern Ireland and UK) or +353-818-903001 (international).

What will he play?

At his last full concert in April, Nutini played the State Theatre in Sydney, Australia. So you can expect the evening to look something like this:

  • Children of the Stars
  • Scream (Funk My Life Up)
  • Let Me Down Easy
  • Heart Filled Up
  • Through the Echoes
  • Coming Up Easy
  • Pencil Full of Lead
  • Take Me Take Mine
  • Shine a Light

Are there any tickets left?

The gig is sold out. However, you can keep an eye out for tickets up for resale on ticketmaster.ie . Buy tickets from accredited sources only.

What’s the story with security?

Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult; bring your passport, Garda age card or driving licence as evidence of your date of birth. Allow time for security checks on the way in. Bags larger than A4 size will not be permitted and all bags may be searched, and this can be time-consuming so consider going bagless for easier entry. There will be no cloakroom or storage facilities. No umbrellas, alcohol, garden furniture, selfie sticks, flares, glasses or cans, among other items, will be allowed into the event.

Can I take photographs at the concert?

Yes, but only with a smartphone or small camera. Professional cameras with a detachable lens and any other recording equipment are banned.

What’s the weather forecast?

Met Éireann is forecasting scattered clouds and a warm 20 degrees into the evening, however, rain is forecast from about 10pm so a light rain jacket wouldn’t go amiss.

Acclaimed Scottish singer-songwriter Paolo Nutini is coming back to Australia for the first time in eight years. He’ll be armed with tracks from his fourth album,  Last Night In The Bittersweet , which came out in July 2022 and was his third LP to top the UK album charts.

In addition to slots at Bluesfest Byron Bay and  Bluesfest’s debut Melbourne instalment , the musician will perform a headline show at Sydney’s State Theatre.

Paolo Nutini – ‘Everywhere’

UPDATE 25/01/2023: Paolo Nutini has added a third show at Sydney’s State Theatre after the first two sold out.

If you’re planning to head along then consider keeping some Kleenex handy, as Nutini’s fans are often brought to tears during his critically acclaimed live shows. He recently sold out consecutive shows at London’s 10,000+ capacity Alexandra Palace.

The Scottish born child of Italian immigrants began his career in the mid-00s, signing with Atlantic Records off the strength of his first demo tape. Nutini’s debut album,  These Streets , came out in 2006. He’s stayed with Atlantic through the release of  Sunny Side Up  (2009),  Caustic Love  (2014) and 2022’s  Last Night in the Bittersweet .

Time to start saving up, Swifties. The news that Taylor Swift is going on her first tour in five years is exciting enough, but once you see the star-studded list of guest artists she’s bringing along for the ride, you’ll really want to purchase a ticket.

The pop star announced Tuesday (Nov. 1) that she would be embarking on The Eras Tour , a celebration of all 10 of the studio albums she’s released since 2006 — at least, that’s what the trek’s title suggests. Swift also shared a poster advertising the tour’s 27-date U.S. leg on Instagram featuring a collage of photos of herself through the years, from the time of her self-titled debut to Midnights , which dropped less than two weeks prior to the tour news.

All the Surprise Songs Taylor Swift Has Performed on The Eras Tour (So Far)

The Cats star hasn’t hit the road since 2018, when she launched her best-selling Reputation Tour. She had planned on performing again after the release of her 2019 record Lover in a concert series called Lover Fest, but canceled the shows due to the global coronavirus pandemic.

For those who are keeping count, this means that Tay has six albums-worth of new material that she’s never played live — if you include the previously unreleased vault tracks on 2021’s Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version) . Studio albums Folklore, Evermore and, of course, Midnights , have all also been released in the time between Lover and the Eras Tour.

Though additional international dates won’t be announced until a later time, Swift did also reveal exactly who’s joining her during her highly anticipated return to touring. A total of nine artists make up the supporting act lineup for the tour’s first leg — with two acts slated per night to open for Tay night — and some of them are very familiar faces for the Swiftie community.

Keep reading to see who’s joining Taylor Swift on her 2023 Eras Tour below:

Paramore

  • 3/18 – State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.

Taylor Swift and Paramore ‘s Hayley Williams have been friends for years, and now they’re teaming up for the Eras Tour’s kickoff show in Glendale. The “Anti-Hero” singer brought Williams out during a show on her Speak Now tour to sing “That’s What You Get” in 2011, cast her in the award-winning “ Bad Blood ” music video in 2015, and reveled in her praise of Swift’s 2021 record Evermore .

Beabadoobee

Beabadoobee

  • 3/24 – Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas

Beabadoobee ‘s involvement in the Eras Tour was foreshadowed back in May when Taylor used one of the indie pop star’s songs, “See you Soon,” in a TikTok made on the day she delivered the commencement speech at NYU’s graduation ceremony.
